We bought the medical pendant for my mother, she lives alone. We are quite close by. The setup was simple, they explained everything clearly and talked us through the simple steps. It’s a huge relief knowing she can get help at the touch of a button. Excellent service.

Have an alarm for my Nan

Have an alarm for my Nan. she doesn’t go out much but makes her feel safe when she does and when she’s at home on her own! Very friendly staff always on hand to help when needed

Scam company preying on vulnerable

Scam company preying on the old and vulnerable, contacted my mother who is registered with TPS and it would be clear to them that she is old and has dementia and the conversation should not have continued. Sold a policy which was not required and totally unfit for purpose, worryingly they already had my mother’s bank details, reported to Trading Standards.

Shocking sales approach

I can’t stress strongly enough how shocking this company’s sales tactics are. Like many of the other reviews they cold-called my 85 year mother and pressurized her into given them not only her bank details but also her key-safe number that her carers use to let themselves in. They caused huge upset, stress and distress to a vulnerable elderly person. Have reported them to the police and trading standards.

Extremely heavy sales to old &…

Extremely heavy sales to old & vulnerable people. Today is the 3rd time my mother has phoned me in tears having had more than 3 phone calls from Medi Alarm pushing her to buy their product. Even after saying she wanted to talk through with me and compare other products, they insisted on rearranging a follow call. There were various sales people phoning her home. Even after phoning then on 12/9/25 to say she did not want an alarm from them she received a letter today 23/9/25 saying thank you for choosing MediAlarm 247 and direct debit details needed. What they have put my mother through is disgusting and should not be allowed, they are frightening old people living alone. They were bullish and demanding and pressuring my mother to buy by giving her frightening consequences. Where did they get her number from in the first place - she is Xdirectory and they knew which bank she had. Not an acceptable way to do business. Interesting that they do not have a complaints procedure either. Although my mother and I agree with the product itself to help older people living alone, I most certainly would not recommend this company.

We also do not process or request any direct debit details without clear consent, so we are concerned to hear that a letter was received after your mother had already declined.

Cold callers pressure selling to elderly

Cold called my wife's mother and pressured her into giving them her bank details after some time on call. She will cancel it via her bank but this is no way to run a reputable business. Not to be trusted.

Please don't buy from this company

Please don't buy from this company. They only what your money. I will also contact Wandsworth council to report this company as they operate in partnership with the council.
They pressured my 86 year old father into a contract even though he has another personal alarm system. Eventually I got through to the company and managed to cancel the contract. This was in Sept 2024. The agent I spoke with assured the 1st month's payment would be waved as we had cancelled within 14 days, In June 2025 we received several reminders initiated by Medialarm247 via Wandsworth council outsourced company called capatia.co.uk for payment of the 1st months rental.

Our process typically takes around five weeks from initial contact through to the exchange of goods and payment. During this time, we send several letters, along with direct debit instructions. This ensures transparency and helps us safeguard vulnerable customers.

If a customer no longer wishes to keep our service, a refund is always processed quickly upon cancellation. Our customer service team is available Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, and if your call is missed, you will always receive a callback from one of our representatives.

Pressured my elderly parent into giving his bank details over the phone to set up a direct debit.
Assumed this company is a scam, then received info in mail. Company not answering phone calls to try cancel the direct debit
