I had an item returned that had gone missing from an order I sent back. I contacted customer services through e.mail and within the hour a lovely lady (Jodie) had picked up my issue, contacted me to ask further questions and could I also supply some more information. I managed to find what I was looking for the following morning and sent it through. In the space of two hours Jodie had messaged me back to say she new what had happened and had sorted out my concern. In a nutshell it had taken less than 24hrs to fully resolve my request. Jodie then wrote to me again to check everything had been done correctly and did I have any other issues.
In terms of how long it took to be resolved the Customer services team are head a shoulders among there rivals. Thank you.

Mint Velvet designs are exciting, classic and will stand the test of time. The quality is exceptional and the clothes fit together beautifully to provide your essential and desirable capsule wardrobe. This is not a throwaway brand, which makes it eco friendly in my eyes. Also arrives in cardboard boxes! Not endless plastic!
Once you invest, you will want to keep!
Customer service staff are kind and keen to help sort out the odd queries you may have.

I am fairly new customer to Mint Velvet and am so impressed with their service.
I bought a fabulous pair of trousers before Christmas which are my now go to favourites. I then purchased a beautiful dress for my 60th party and wore it at a dinner date to find a nasty mark on the dress that I could not fathom. I phoned customer service and Devina was positively amazing… she helped me source the replacement as by now it was no longer in production… and then, arranged a courier to collect the damaged dress for inspection and a few days later replied to say we are issuing you with a full refund… now that’s what I call service.
When I next go to that level of high street shop or online to purchase something Mint Velvet will be my first choice..

I recently visited the Stamford store and found the service I received second to none. The ladies went above and beyond to help me, even suggesting trying on pieces which I wouldn’t have considered (and they were so right!)

I made an online order and chose NDD as I was going to be out the house the rest of the week.

There was a technical issue on MV’s end and it resulted in my order not being prepared. I reached out via online chat on the MV website and Sophie helped get my order get dispatched and redirected to my local store instead as I wasn’t going to be at home. She was fantastic customer service and offered a discount for the trouble.

When I went to the Leamington store to try on my items etc I decided to return some. The store also applied the extra discount, but didn’t apply it correctly (which is fine as it became quite a confusing situation and I did not clock at the time either). I got back in touch with Sophie and with the help of her and her manager Beth all was sorted.

I am so impressed with MV’s customer service and the communication from both the agents I spoke with, especially Sophie. It was my first order with them and I will definitely be continuing to shop there because the quality of items is great and also the team they have - exceptional.

A bit gutted to be giving a one star review but it needs to be said. I have been a MV customer since 2012 and loved the quality fabrics, unique designs and fit. I rarely order now but occasionally see a glimpse of the original MV style, however, when I do, I end up returning the majority of items due to:

1. poor quality fabrics, many now rough, cheap and nasty, synthetic, itchy, etc.

2. prices now over inflated, 'pieces' as you call garments, went up approx. 30% on average in one year a couple of years ago.. Price does not reflect the current quality by any means, hiding behind premium branding. Majority of items Made in China.

3. poor fit, even on simple designs. For example the scallop vest looks lovely online, size S should fit me perfectly being a skinny 8/10 but the chest and back were squeezing the life out of me, could not breathe, the tummy area was baggy, the back of the neck stuck out and gaped, armpits too high and not deep enough, squashed into armpits. Fabric cheap. £35!! Wouldn't pay a fiver for it.

Jackets and coats, you can't move your upper arms, MV answer to this was deepen armholes, that makes it worse, you need to widen the shoulders to solve this.

Jeans and trousers, stop making those awful crippling high rise trousers and jeans, unless you are 6ft they are unwearable, uncomfortable and look ridiculous, they reach my boobs (5 ft 6), the ones labelled mid rise are still high rise and touch my ribs.

4. Trainers hard inner/outer and inflexible soles, like walking in/on a brick.

Just bought the Carla suede ballet shoes, although they seem lovely and soft there is no substance to them, just a piece of suede, that is what I wanted but not worth the price tag, they don't look like a quality finish, absolutely stink of a strong leather and glue and doubt would last very long, something you would expect to pay £40-£45 for, not £99. Size 6 is absolutely tiny, thought I had been sent a size 4 or 5. Can't tell if they are comfortable or not as my toes were totally scrunched up in agony trying to get them on. I would have liked to try the 7 but am unwilling to pay again and at full price not worth the money, I took the trouble to ring up to give feedback and was told they are a new design and would pass it on. I suggested you put a note on the website to tell customers to size up. No comment was made. Was asked if anything else can help with. I did say about potentially trying size 7 but didn't want to risk as the sizes so wrong and to return an item now is such a palaver designed so you won't bother returning items, awaiting deliveries, collections etc. I was just told 'well, you don't have to decide now'. I do actually, no incentive, no order. Makes me order less such a hassle, all of it.

As a regular long term customer I was told to always ask for Hayley who has been extremely helpful in the past but I can never get to speak to her so have given up now and did not bother asking this time. I don't think I will be ordering again as everything that arrives nowadays is a disappointment and unwearable.

Catherine in the Truro Store is like a personal shopper, knows her stock inside out and puts together great outfit ideas without any pressure to buy.
When you do buy anything the quality is great and i get so many compliments on my outfits.

Emailed Customer Services with a small problem and was looked after by Maddie, who resolved my issues and made regular email contact to make sure everything was resolved to my satisfaction, which was arranged very quickly. Can I also say that the lovely staff in Reigate store are simply the best and as much as I do a lot of online shopping, I pop into Reigate store as much as I can just for the experience of shopping there. Very rare to get this level of service from a company.

Julie's service today was stand-out! My mother-in-law was shopping for jeans and Julie was extremely helpful in selecting a range of styles to try. Most impressive was the amount of time she gave us while placing us under no pressure to make a purchase. We eventually bought two items - thanks mainly to the standard of service. Erin was also fantastic, and another team member whose name we didn't catch was really friendly too. My first visit to Aberdeen Mint Velvet and I will definitely be back! Thanks to the team for making our afternoon.

Popped into Bath MV and all the staff had welcoming smiles. Just loved so many of this seasons range. Melinda was awesome, she knows her ‘stuff’, and gave me some helpful hints and tips.

I cannot praise this company highly enough in terms of their customer service. I made a last minute order for a 60th birthday party and Scott from the Customer Care Team went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfectly including separately sending a gift box and tissue paper with a gift receipt. He knew I was anxious that the gifts wouldn’t arrive in time so he kept me up to date with the delivery timescales and offered other options should my gifts not arrive in time. Everything arrived in time and beautifully packaged. Scott, thanks so much, Mint Velvet are lucky to have you!

I was totally delighted to visit the Mint Velvet store. I have ordered on-line but to be in the new branch at Aberdeen Union Square was great. Staff were so happy and smiling and the structure of the store was beautiful. It had a very warm and inviting presence. For me it was wonderful to see rails not overcrowded with lots of sizes and the clothes were positioned showing their best potential. To see them personally and not on-line was so much better. I can't praise Mint Velvet enought for the designs, styling and fit and will definately be shopping in-store at Aberdeen again.

Fabulous service from Molly & Cally in the Aberdeen branch. I visit Aberdeen regularly and was delighted when they opened a branch here……….I live 500 miles away but never get the time to visit my local branch 12 miles away. Loving the new collections, just a shame that some of the tops are about an inch to short for my liking. I like to hide my belly! Don’t let that stop you shopping as It didn’t stop me walking out with a bag full of new tops!

Cutting a very long story short regarding delayed items I cannot praise Sophie from customer service enough. She went above and beyond any previous experiences I have had with other companies. I even got a lovely message in my parcel from the Solihull branch that helped with my order.

I was looking for a dress which had sold out on line so I called Mint Velvet shop at Leamington. Laura was most helpful and having checked her stock she proceeded to locate the dress at your Chelmsford branch where Lee put it on one side for me. I called Lee to pay and she arranged for dress to be picked up and delivered to me. Excellent service from both stores. Both these girls deserve a mention as they were both so helpful with service over and above what we have come to expect from retailers. Keep up the good work Mint Velvet. So refreshing.
