Good customer service response

After a couple scathing reviews, I heard from the company's customer service and the advisor. He was home and pretty sick. Issue was resolved and I was pleased with my result.

Try to solve it yourself first!

Worked with Money Solvers regarding my 2018 taxes. Once you give them your money, all contact ceases with them. They will not answer phone calls or emails. During the process, I kept providing information that was already given to them. No attention to detail whatsoever! There was no reduction in my tax payment and I seriously and honestly feel that they did not work on my behalf to get one. Now I'm stuck paying them along with my tax bill. If you can, please try to negotiate with the IRS or any agency on your own. Hindsight is 20/20 and if I can save anyone money by not hiring them, then my working with them was well worth it.

I have to give this company a mixed…

Ok. Things have been better these past few months. Responsiveness has been very prompt and professional. The last 'tax advisor' left and my case was reassigned to another person and the difference is remarkable. This has been my experience over time. If you are not satisfied ask for a different person. It can make all the difference in your case.......

I have to give this company a mixed review. At first I thought they were going to be great. The person who called me was very reassuring and kind and seemed to want to help, even adjusting my service payment plan initially. I came to realize that she was a marketing Rep. Ok. That's just business. But I have to say that I have had varying degrees of service from this company overall. (They changed their name from Tax Defense Network to Moneysolver a couple of years ago - I don't know why).
So I would say that the biggest issue has been numerous times being switched to a new person to represent me. The organization is hard to understand. They have real lawyers and they have a relationship with the IRS. The individual states not so much. They have been successful in getting my payment status with the IRS downgraded to a hardship status. I am grateful for that. Overall though I have found dealing with all of the various people in the company confusing. This last time I started receiving emails and calls from someone I didn't recognize. When I finally realized that she was yet another new person I asked her what happened to my previous 'tax specialist'. She said that she had left the company. This has happened numerous times, and this time I was not even informed. I never, by the way, get to know any real lawyers on my case. They also rotate and it seems do not talk to clients.
So I am trying to get something done with my state tax situation and am finding it very difficult and cumbersome. The relationship they seem to have with the IRS does not seem to translate to the state tax department. So I have to start all over again with a new person who doesn't seem to understand my case. She just wants me to fill out forms that do not represent my circumstances, and she doesn't want to discuss it. I would say that they are ok on the federal side of things, but be aware that you will have to schedule new contracts for anything beyond basic federal representation. State taxes, filings, ongoing representation... Everything is a new contract and they don't combine them. Sometimes they even seem to loose track of all the details of my overall case. Probably they are about as good as anyone else and probably better than most. It's still a confusing game. Is it better than dealing with the IRS yourself? I'd say yes. At the state level I'm not sure.

Do not use MoneySolver!!!

Do not use MoneySolver!!!! Scott Brightman smooth-talked me into believing the company would help me with my tax situation. Months later and all I have to show for their “help” is a lien on my home and a bill for $4,840.50 for their sham/farce. Do not use this company. I have currently sent Scott more than a dozen emails with not one response. How do they sleep at night???????

The lady that helped me with my student…

The lady that helped me with my student loan was very helpful! But the down side of this company they kept messing up my paper work, they failed to continue making my payments for me on my student loan I had to sign several documents and they some how even got my name wrong! I find this company to be very unprofessional and would Advise people to not trust them when it comes to student loans! if I could give them a negative star review I would
