More than a Backpack Avis 101

I was so disappointed that the sling bag is not genuine leather! Some kind of “pleather”. And watch closely for a “return”. The process of just FINDING out HOW to return it, is exhausting. With their “our story” on their initial page is deceiving, they are NOT in the USA. You need to send your “sales receipt” inside, a photo of your “receipt” of mailing it (then email that photo to them) of course in same packaging, to either the United Kingdom (for a partial refund) OR China for a full refund! But I was MOST disappointed that it wasn’t real leather!

Within 3 months of buying a vintage backpack, a buckle had fallen off in use, an email to customer service had a response that they are only warrantied for 1 mth, offered me a 30% discount on replacement buckle 3 weeks ago to which I responded to with a "tes-pls provide details on how i progress" - nothing since after 2 followups. AVOID

Poor quality. Zip broke after 15 uses for school. Extremely disappointing when offered a partial refund but no follow up. DO NOT BUY from this company.

Well...well...well! This company is a major fraud! Scam company! They will take your money /never sending the order.

Attempted purchase Christmas gifts placed order , provided confirmation of credit card payment. But never ' ever got anything!

I made attempts to contact this bullshit company 10 or more times via emails! Never got a response! I will never utilize a Chinese purchase again! I decided to file a complaint with the BBB. Only to see many other complaints identical to my own!

My experience remains as noted above ! Company is a front for deception ' and theft of your money! I called , emailed and texted , never did hear back from anyone! It's been 4 months since theft by conversion ' never ever utilizing a Chinese company online! I wish I had read the many complaints here before I attempted to complete my order! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Backpack says it was delivered but I never received it. Tried numerous ways and times to reach More Than a Backpack. Never able to reach anyone and never received a response. So disappointing.

SCAM and don't use this company. Lost backpack in mail (why is it up to me to chase your courier) and I'm having to chase a refund now. No follow up. I actually did want the back pack. No one will order from them again.

It's a f**king scam! I ordered a bag a while ago and I got no confirmatory email or SMS, still my PayPal was deducted. I waited like a fool for it to arrive but nope, don't order from that website :)

It's a scam! I now know to read reviews of a website when buying from a new one. I haven't gotten my backpack that I bought for my son and I have not received a response from them, still trying. I bet all the positive responses are fake.im so angry!

The bag arrived badly damaged, but the seller was evasive and refused to provide return instructions or issue a refund. After multiple emails, they eventually claimed to have refunded me, but it never arrived. If you're in a similar situation, please request a chargeback through your bank and don't give up.

The bag arrived directly from China, rolled tightly in a grey bag like a Vinted purchase. They advertise themselves as a family business, but it's just dropshipping. When I did a reverse image search of the bag, I found it for £5.99 online - when I paid almost six times that.

I purchased a backpack and it never arrived. I checked the tracking number and it said it was already delivered. I emailed them to follow it up since the delivery company doesn't provide any details - I didn't get a response. I think this company is a scam. That's 60 euros down the drain.

Avoid this company like the plague. Although looking like a UK family company they just order from China to be delivered directly. They state not Ali express but the products are similar - cheap and nasty. Returned backpack to what is a residential address but no hint of refund. Wish I had read other reviews. Avoid

I wish I'd read these reviews first! I just received my backpack after almost 3 weeks. I was putting stuff into it, and the zipper broke. One of the back pockets is not sewn in. It's cute, but it's junk! And after reading all of these reviews, I know it's no need to try to return. This is a PayPal pay in 4. Maybe they can help, but I doubt it. Don't waste your money!!!!
Update: I have to come back and give this update because I may have been wrong. I contacted the company about the zipper and the pocket. They replied, asking for pictures. I sent pictures. They asked if I wanted a refund or replacement. I told them I would like a replacement because the backpack really is very cute. They just emailed me again with an order confirmation for another backpack. I did not have to do anything. Very very positive! Thank you More than a Backpack!

This company is trash-DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! I ordered a backpack as a Christmas gift a full month ahead of time- their shipping window said at latest it would be delivered a week before Christmas. It did not get delivered until a week and a half AFTER Christmas. When I asked if I could return the backpack because I had had to buy a different option as it hadn't come in time to be given on Christmas, they basically said "sorry but not our problem". They have been very difficult with trying to return it ( I have to take it to the post office and send it using my own money to england, including filling out a whole customs form, and they are unwilling to create a return label) or they offered 30 dollars back if I don't want to send it back- the backpack was over 100 dollars. I have been going back and forth with them for months and still have not had the issue resolved. STAY AWAY!

So this is this not a family owned company it just another front for a warehouse in China. Placed an order on Feb 24th. Didn’t hear anything from them for nearly two weeks. Sent customer service an email on Mar 7th telling them to cancel my order. Mar 8th I received a notification that they shipped the package.

Bought an overnight bag and the strap broke on 1st use, very poor quality unfortunately. Contacted the company who were quick to respond initially saying I could post it back for a refund/replacement (at my cost), alternatively they would offer a part refund and I could keep the bag. Asked for more information on the part refund twice now and it’s been complete radio silence for nearly 2 weeks. Very disappointed in the product quality but the poor customer service is inexcusable in my book. I would recommend others look elsewhere as my experience has been dreadful.

I just received a beautiful packpack from this company that for once, is actually much much nicer in reality than shown on the photos ! Photos usually look amazing then the product arrives and its not at all what you expected, in this case the product is much nicer than anticipated and I love it. I would highlly recommend this company !

First of all if I had realised that they were based in China I would never have ordered from them because returns tend to be problematic. I received a shipping notification from Evri saying that they couldn’t deliver. I have followed up with more than a backpack (who take an eternity to respond) they came back gave me the tracking number and told me to sort it out with Evri. I messaged them and said that this wasn’t acceptable and I wanted a refund as we had now bought one elsewhere for my son to start school. They haven’t responded to this I ordered on 23/08/24 and as of 17 September I haven’t received the item and there’s been no refund.

US Buyer beware... Returns have to be sent to the UK or to China. The cost is in excess of $40, which is about the same price as the merchandise.

Additionally the items are made for the chinese market, not for the western market, which means the packaging is in chinese.

A cat back pack came misshapen and broken. Box is was sent in wasn't big enough to hold it. Looks banged and stepped on. Says I have to pay for return shipping. Waiting on response from their email, but the outlook doesn't look promising.
Looks like a cheap Chinese drop shipping company. Quality is terrible.
