Great service
I didn’t have to wait long and the recovery driver was brilliant, my car is a classic and he took great care in handling it when pulling it onto the truck. Gem kept me informed throughout the recovery and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Superb company in every way
Superb company in every way. Calls answered quickly. Recovery vehicle swiftly dispatched and kept constantly updated on where they were and estimated time of arrival. Then today I was helped out over the phone by a kind lady called Pauline.
Even though my vehicle is 38 years old she’s covered by my personal breakdown cover because she’s not over the maximum size/weight 😃 Most other companies have a age restriction also or charge an extra £25 if called out. With GEM it’s all included in the low yearly membership fee. Very happy. Thank you.

Successful rescue
GEM managed to execute a recovery for me and my car on what was a very busy day for them.
I had to wait longer than normal but they were able to present 3 solutions for me to choose from and then enabled a complete recovery while maintaining my comfort and safety.

They're all as bad as each other?
They're all as bad as each other? Gem motor assist have proven to me that in some cases that just isn't true. Assistance within 15 minutes. Recovery 15 minutes later. 2nd relay meeting 1st relay within a minute of first relay arriving. Human telephone response from start to finish. Constant calls from HQ checking all was OK. I cannot speak highly enough about the way Gem Motor Assist responded and I would urge anyone out there wondering who to go with to try this company as my experience of others has been absolutely dire by comparison.

First Class Service
I called GEM when my car refused to start; within a couple of minutes I received a message saying the recovery unit would be with me in 9 minutes along with a map showing live where he was.
He got the car going but said if it stopped it would not restart; he diagnosed the problem which needed garage attention. He followed me to the garage (about a mile away) in case I broke down again which was very reassuring. I was delighted with the service and especially the speed! Also GEM told me I could call them at any time if I had any concerns. This really is a first class service and I always recommend GEM when the opportunity arises.

Consistent good service
I have had to use Gem twice so far this year, once for a broken ignition key and more recently for a puncture. Both times I used the Gem app to get help. I was very pleased with the time it took for assistance to arrive (even though one of them was Bank Holiday Sunday!) Both times they were helpful, patient and efficient.

Absolutely brilliant company
Absolutely brilliant company. No speaking to robots, no lectures about behaving correctly, no 5 minute wait while some monotonous voice and stupid music play. I really couldn't believe it. I rang a number and within a few secs and actual human woman with clear English answered and gave me the information I needed. I was done in about 30 seconds. Took me a few moments to come to my senses after this absolutely mind blowing experience.
