The customer service is worse than the…

The customer service is worse than the delivery service I got a reply from someone called Kimberley who gave me the butcher Phone Number which is an absolute waste of time. Can this company do anything right? You have my phone number can you get a human to call me. Your drivers don’t seem to be able to find a postcode the picture the driver took is just down the road. I believe the hole system is au automated

VOA refuses to deal with group of business rates agents

The Valuation Office Agency (VOA) will no longer deal with an individual and 5 companies offering services to business rates customers.

Murtada Abady and the companies connected to him can no longer use our Check and Challenge service to manage business rates on behalf of customers.

Murtada Abady is also known as Jack Abady and Rico Banks.

The companies the VOA will no longer deal with are:

Metro World Limited (trading as ‘Optimise Business Rates’)

Overratted Rates Limited (trading as ‘Re-Rates UK’)

Rainbow Finance Limited (also trading as ‘Optimise Business Rates’)

Rateable Value Experts

Rate Masters Limited (trading as ‘My Rates’).

Mr Abady has previously used new company names and aliases to disguise his activities. The VOA’s decision applies to any aliases or companies Mr Abady is linked to now or in the future.

We have written to affected customers.

EXTREMELY POOR

My company Thorpe Leys Motor Co has paid for the business rates refund service, but since paying for the service, we have had NO RESPONSE from Metro World Ltd. Over the las t few weeks, I have sent several emails, left numerous messages and left messages through their portal, but NOTHING, NO RESPONSE, NOTHING.
They were quick to email us regarding legal action with 24 hours of sending us an invoice, but now we are querying why we have not had a rates refund - NOTHING.
Their customer service etc is extremely poor and suggest NO business uses this company.
If any one wants to see evidence of invoices from Metro World and any of my correspondence over the last few weeks, then do not hesitate to contact me.
Would you believe it they are now closed until Monday 5th January 2026!!!!!!

This company is nothing but a complete…

This company is nothing but a complete scam, we signed up with optimise rates approximately 11 months ago. This company told us that they would attempt to get a reduction in buisness rates for our premises. Forward to now after paying £1430 to get the ball rolling we now have been hit with a £2400 bill that we was told needs to be paid today otherwise they would add £200 per day , we was also threatened with winding up order and freezing our bank accounts .So we paid the second invoice to make sure our buisness doesn't receive a ccj or any unwanted problems with credit in the future. While we was on the phone we told them that we would be leaving our business premises on the 29th December 2025 to move to a larger premises, the response was well you will have a cancellation fee of £1200 plus vat. So this company managed to apparently save £6200 in buisness rates for us ( although we have nothing from the council to say this has happened)
But metro world ltd have charged us just over £5000. The company when looking online and searching the directors and talking to other companies that have been scammed in this way all say the same rip off, threatening and just a complete waste of time dealing with them
Avoid at all cost !!!

Warning - scam company - DO NOT PAY

I am not a customer. I am writing this review to warn people that this is a scam company, formerly known as Re-Rates, Rateable Value Experts, My Rates, Optimise Rates and Optimise Business Rates. This review will probably be flagged and deleted but I hope enough people see this before it gets taken down.

This company can improve it's business…

This company can improve it's business by not demanding payment before any savings have been made.

Our gift shop company struggles as it is, so a demand for payment without any savings is not great.

The positive reviews seem very dubious.
