A big fan of the product
I love Mud/wtr and have been drinking it for at least a year. I mix mine with half oat milk. There is always residue but I just add a little more hot water and milk and make a small shot to drink so as not to waste it. The only reason I have given it four stars and not five is that I have been slightly irritated by the mud wtr sale prices not being passed on when placing an order as it seems to automatically divert to the subscription on my account, frustrating! The loyalty of a subscription should mean the odd perk now and again with a cheaper price

This company has taken 40.00 in Nov and Dec from my bank , and no product arrived , I never enrolled in auto ship. BE CAREFULL , no way to contact them !!!!!!
A feeling of impending doom/passed out
I orderedMUD/WTR's sleep product, called :rest which contains organic rooibos tea extract, a spice blend (including turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, black pepper, nutmeg, and clove), and adaptogens like valerian root, passionflower, ashwagandha, and chamomile extracts, along with turkey tail and reishi mushrooms. This combination is designed to help promote calm and recovery.
I mixed the MUD/WTR REST concoction one hour before bedtime on the evening of December 23. About an hour later I began feeling a very strange and scary sensation throughout the core of my being – one that I never felt before. What happened next is a bit of a blur but I do remember feelings of disorientation, nausea, confusion, vertigo, almost complete lack of balance, and fright that I could pass out anytime.
I live alone and had no one to help me and even if I knew where my phone was, I could not have called an ambulance. The sensations began increasing exponentially so I somehow staggered to my bedroom and flopped onto my bed. Then I passed out afraid that I might be dying. Hours later, I woke up: rook spinning, nauseous, vomiting, but thankful I was still alive. I laid in my bed for hours until the symptoms began to subside. I still had lingering symptoms on Christmas Day.
The MUD/WTR, founder, and CEO, SHANE HEATH, should take the money he puts towards psychedelic research and put it towards extensive research on his own products.
On the MUD/WTR site there are articles about psychedelics. One is titled “talking to kids about psychedelics” and the other is, “healing traumatic brain injuries with psychedelics.” I’ve contacted an attorney and will be taking a telehealth psych evaluation to determine if I may be having any lasting psychological effects from this trauma.
When my mind was clear enough, I reported my experience to a “concierge“ at MUD/WTR.
I received a response stating that my purchase will be refunded, which was done quickly, and I was asked to take a photo of the lot number on the bottom of the can of powder.
The next day I got a message from another “concierge“ asking me to take a survey on how I feel about MUD/WTR. I couldn’t believe it. It was like nothing ever happened.
I suggest anyone interested to go on MUD/WTR’s site and read the shamelessly pretentious promotions. “We’re all family“. A kind of cult vernacular that should’ve been a warning to me. but I thought I would at least give it a try. What a mistake.
Mudwtr will flood you with unsolicited mail
This company won’t stop sending you messages after unsubscribing— it has become extremely annoying. I had cancelled my scheduled future delivery due to travel and had planned to establish it, but I won’t patronage a company that uses tus practices. AVOID them off you don’t wish your inbox full of junk mail
I’m on my 3rd month
I’m on my 3rd month. I was a chai tea drinker and this is even better. I fill my Contigo travel mug ⅓ and add Tbsp local honey, more Teylon cinnamon, 1 Tbsp Original and froth, add more water and tried various milk/creamer options (whole milk, almond unsweetened vanilla milk, oat milk, etc.). While at work I shake my leakproof Contigo travel mug often and never have a problem with sediment. I have more focus and better sleep since staring Mudwtr. I also like the Tumeric blend and was able to delay my 3rd month by a week with no problems. I want to try the Matcha and Rest formulas next…hoping there are some holiday sales for subscribers 😉
MUDWTR and Fraudulent Charges
Terrible consumer practices. Had a subscription years ago, recently went to the website to see what had changed and prices on new products.
Two days later, my bank alerted me to a fraudulent charge made by MudWtr early that morning while I slept (4am). They used my outdated account information/expired card to place an unauthorized order then were impossible to reach to remedy the situation.
Fortunately, the bank investigated the unauthorized charge, canceled it and issued a new card.
This company should not be trusted with any secure account details. They have proven they will use it to make unauthorized purchases.
Subscription orders don’t show up
I have a subscription, got charged for my latest order over a month ago, but it never showed. Messaged customer service who were lovely and supposedly replaced the order. 8 days later still no sign of it even dispatching. Not sure what’s going on, but would avoid. Shame as I really like the product.
Helps with focus, calm, tasty
I honestly really love MUDWTR. I was skeptical because so many people seemed to dislike the taste, but I desperately needed to find something to curb my caffeine cravings, and this was it and more:)
It helps improve my focus, and yet no crash. I was really surprised actually!
I found it was awesome with oatmilk and a sweetener like maple syrup (if you’re like me and like everything sweet). I have only had the original so far but I’m thinking the sleepy time one might be good too.
I wanted to try different adaptogenic…
I wanted to try different adaptogenic coffee and I'm sorry this taste horrible for me. I'll stick with Spacegoods love their chocolate flavour and yes great benefits from it.
I purchased this because the commercial…
I purchased this because the commercial said how amazing this product tastes like chocolate meets chai. I am so disappointed. It tastes like flavored water that’s not chocolate meets chai. And of course, I was signed up for the AutoShip without realizing it as many companies are doing this if you don’t watch when you check out. Don’t waste your hard earned money!!
Good stuff, despite cancellation not as easy as they said - but still do-able
While I was kind of put off that ordering the "sample" pack necessitated consenting to automatic re-order, I was assured (by reading what I was clicking on) that it would be easy to cancel/opt out of auto re-order. I didn't see it in my initial order confirmation (which was annoying, because the info on canceling SAID you can find a link on your order to do so), BUT I emailed them off of their website (using an actual email address), and the auto-response contained a link to manage the subscription. It was again annoying that you had to confirm cancel no less than 4 or 5 times, but I get it. They don't want to make it TOO easy.
As for the product. I filled a large mug 2/3 of water, nuked it for two minutes, and stirred in a heaping tablespoon (literal table spoon, not measuring spoon) and I thought the consistency/texture was great. The taste was good. I wanted to try it without the MCT oil, without butter, without my vanilla creamer - to see what it tastes like on its own, and it's good. I'm trying to replace a Starbucks Vanilla Doubleshot addiction, as well as a Black Rifle Coffee and 1/4 cup of vanilla creamer addiction.
I may re-sign-up for a subscription; I have the sample pack's-worth of days to figure that out.
auto signup for subscription, yucky spices
First, I never signed up for a subscription (lucky for me I checked this and canceled). Second, I was unhappy with the flavor: who puts pepper and cloves and tumeric into a cacao/mushroom drink? yuck. But then what really bothered me was; the website shows 60K positive reviews but I don't see anyway to post one! Who are these people posting? Why can't I post one? I suspect it's MUCH MUCH lower!
Great Focus and Calm
Mud Wtr has been a really special experience for me. From the first cup, I noticed how it helped me focus and feel calmer throughout the day—way better than my usual coffee.
The frother is awesome, too! It’s so powerful and makes the perfect drink every time. I even use it for other beverages because it works so well.
If you’re after something that keeps you focused and calm without the coffee jitters, Mud Wtr is worth a try!
Good flavor and customer service.
I really enjoy the flavor - reducing caffeine intake was important for me but I wanted to maintain my morning ritual. Customer service was great and helped me delay my subscription when I had too much on hand.
Good if you know what you're expecting
1 month in. If you know what you're expecting to recieve then the star rating shouldn't be low.
On the product screen you choose "1 time purchase, or subscription" so this clears that issue with other reviews.
With taste, it is a bit gritty at the end, which they do not shy away from in their description as "mud water", mushrooms and spices dont dissolve so its expected, and it tastes like masala chai. I add 1xsugar, and a good amount of milk to aim closer to a "chai latte".
I enjoy it and find it quite addictive. I dont have to force myself to drink it and look forward to it.
I'm currently waiting for a customer service reply, so we'll see how that goes.
Scammy subscription impossible to cancel
Ordered a starter pack with the milk frother. Taste wasn’t bad but didn’t realise the product was majority cacao so cancelled subscription. Got notification in March that my order was on the way and was charged. Emailed saying I cancelled my subscription and asked them to cancel my account immediately. They said I could refuse delivery but can’t get a refund as the order is on the way. I said I had cancelled and was abroad so couldn’t refuse delivery (live in a shared complex). Come June, I get ANOTHER charge to my bank account with email saying my order is on the way!!!!!! Even though I asked them to delete my account (I couldn’t do it online myself the link wasn’t working in March).
Got my bank on the case but luckily Mdwtr refunded me when showing my previous emails
Product tastes ok but expensive for what it is and an absolutely scammy broken ordering process with abysmal customer service
Great Problem Solving / Customer Service Experience
I think MudWtr must have read their negative reviews and changed their Customer Service SOPs.
I'm a customer and fan of the product. I just had two issues with them.
1. A broken mud whip
2. A screw up with my subscription
They solved both issues lightning fast!
Give it a try.
I was initially hesitant to try MUD\WTR, despite hearing positive feedback from a few people who had good results. I suffer from anxiety, brain fog, and high stress, which worsened after my concussion a few months ago. I used to love my coffee, typically drinking 2-3 cups a day, but recently, it became too much for me to handle.
Switching to MUD\WTR has transformed my morning routine. I've noticed a significant reduction in my stress levels and almost zero anxiety symptoms. Remarkably, my concussion symptoms have also disappeared. Now, I only drink 1-2 cups of coffee per week. MUD\WTR has truly made a positive difference in my life.
Bad customer service
I am greatly disappointed with how mud/wtr handled a return request due to having to avoid caffeine. Being unable to return the product due to health reasons is incredibly inconvenient. It's disheartening when companies fail to consider unexpected health issues and lack flexibility and understanding in their policies. Hopefully this will prompt mud/wtr to reevaluate their approach to customer care.
