Agreed on courrier express to then ship via Royal Air Mail, charged for 100 GBP for a 20 GBP service and they denied it, despite WhatsApp messages.

To then finally received everything late, after delaying site works with one item missing out of four.

We ordered replacement shower door wheels seemingly at a good price from My Toilet Spares on Monday. The order was confirmed by email, but then the next day out of the blue we got a refund email, effectively cancelling our order. When I checked their website, they were still showing this item in stock, but the price had increased significantly.

I know exactly what happened. Many spares like this aren't actually kept in stock by such companies, there are too many; when they receive an order they in turn order from the manufacturer, in this case Ideal Standard. Ideal had obviously put the price up, but MTS due to their incompetence hadn't increased the price the item was being sold for on their website.

And so not wanting to make a loss, the uncaring jokers simply cancelled the order! They didn't even send me an email to tell me they were cancelling the order and to apologise; I only knew because their systems had generated the refund email.

I called them, explaining that they had entered into a legal contract with me to sell me these items at an agreed price - and by cancelling my order, they were in breach of contract. Did the idiots care? Of course they couldn't give a toss. They tried to make out that the item was out of stock at Ideal Standard. I already knew from calling the company - sadly Ideal wouldn't sell me the item direct - that a lot of their spares aren't always on the shelf, but they will still happily take orders from suppliers to the public; the item then goes on back order, and they told me is usually then fulfilled in 2-3 weeks time.

I pointed out to the person at MTS that they were still listing the item as in stock (i.e. able to be purchased), they had simply massively increased the price overnight when they discovered their error. He kept trying to argue no, it was out of stock so they couldn't supply me! And while I was on the phone, just to try to get rid of me he 'flicked a switch' so that the item then showed up as out of stock on their website - just to get rid of me (after the call lo and behold, it had been put back in stock again, of course at the higher price).

When this didn't work and I insisted that they were in breach of contract and needed to do something about that, the guy then just hung up on me!

What utter uncaring, greedy clowns - in their eyes they don't have customers, just innocent members of the public they think they can exploit whenever they want to, with impunity!

AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE would be my advice...

Spoke to Callum in the sales department who was professional, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the products I needed (Vitra toilet cistern parts).
The parts were delivered the following day using Parcelforce/Royal Mail.
I will definitely be using MTS again and can recommend them unreservedly.

This company supplied three toilet flush washers against my order which was based on an internet sourced part number. It was the wrong size of washer.
Their Customer Helpline was responsive, the conversation was pretty much in real time. Given the washer dimensions, they quickly identified the correct washer and gave a price, agreed to accept back and refund the mis-ordered washers. The difference in price was pence (in their favour) and as soon as the mis-ordered washers were received back, the correct washers were dispatched (and Royal Mail delivered on time!). They sorted all the paperwork for the exchange, no further admin required from me. My Toilet Spares couldn't have been more helpful and made the exchange very simple. I am happy to strongly recommend them.

My Ideal Standard Toilet was leaking and I ordered a replacement QT washer on the Monday morning. The correct part to fix my toilet was surplied but was not delivered until the Saturday 5 days after ordering! Fortunately I ordered the same part from a different company who delivered the part required within 24hrs on the Tuesday meaning I was able to repair my toilet and stop the leak. I am keeping the part surplied by MyToiletSpares as a spare as I have four toilets! I am happy with the part surplied and the price but the delivery was very slow! So if you need a part urgently maybe best to shop elsewhere.

I would have liked to have given this company 5 stars but sadly due to issues I could not. I ordered a toilet seat hinge shown on there website, the exact one I needed. Unfortunately the hinge sent was slightly more expensive and didn’t include the plastic fittings which the one on their website did. I was also sent a pack of parts that I didn’t order and didn’t fit. I did mention this that I would have been 100% happy if the could have sent me the plastic fittings as the main hinge fitted. I was sent a link to purchase them. If they had just sent what they advertised it would have been perfect.
Since then the part I was told to get,the plastic sleeves for the hinge I got from someone else- exact same part number and guess what they didn’t fit😂

I dealt with Richard who was very helpful from getting the correct toilet seat (which was discontinued 7 years ago) to the advice of fitting it. Great service. Thanks

My experience of buying a replacement toilet seat from My Toilet Spares Ltd was of a swift and easy purchase system.
The company were able to assist on the basis of a photo and measurements of existing toilet seat,
They provided exactly the model required to replace a Waverley mahogany toilet seat. Delivery was within days of purchase..

My toilet spares were able to tell me what replacement toilet seat I required from a few photos. I paid for the seat it was despatched the following day and received a couple of days later, that to me is excellent service.

Happy to take an order for in stock product and charge for it. Weeks later order cancelled and refund delayed. Do not order here

After reading a number of reviews, I was concerned after making my purchase. However, I have found the service to be exemplary and my product arrived in one week of ordering.

Argumentative. Refusal to provide refund under distance selling regulations for item which does not fit.

No issues whatsoever…..by far the cheapest place around! I only caught the reviews yesterday so was a little dubious, however, I had already placed my order so thought I’d see what happens! Sunday I placed my order, email confirmation received. Monday I received an email stating items have been dispatched. Tuesday (today), item received. I have already installed my items and have no complaints whatsoever! So in my opinion, good seller, good product and works crass it should. Very happy

I ordered a part, they sent me the wrong one, I am flabbergasted by the lack of customer service, they even make you pay for the returns. I am beside myself, having to deal with this company again is unfathomable!

The company then replied to me, calling me James, talking about god knows what order! What is the world of plumbing coming to!?

This seat just slammed shut. When I contacted this company their reply 'its the installation, nothing wrong with the seat'. Informed them that the instructions were followed step by step on 3 x occasions. Their reply "the seat was damaged on installation". The plumber (was installing in another bathroom) installed the seat.. his verdict .....'this seat is knackered!'. Very long story summarised....tried to return for a refund, Mts made many excuses why they would not accept this 'its unhygienic, not faulty etc etc '... They tried to get the manufacturer in the UK involved for installation guides and assistance. The final result was that the seat was not purchased from the UK but the Netherlands and the UK (arm) manufacture were not prepared to provide assistance. Numerous 'what's app' messages and emails later, Mts still not accepting responsibility, the seat is not faulty its the installation ! They then send replacement hinges in an attempt to fix the problem .....but its not faulty !!!!??? 2 Letters sent to Mts informing of intended court action.....response from them.... the seat is not faulty....!!!??? Its now September...I've just had a family bereavement ....I've got more important priorities that chasing Mr Richard King (customer admin) or is it Mr Richard King -Davis (MD) and his disingenuous company...My advise... stay clear ......

I ordered an actuating flushing mechanism from this company last month but instead of the product I wanted, they sent me an entire cistern system that was a different make and model and did not fit my toilet. When I asked for them to send me the correct product, I was told to return the wrong product to them (I had to pay £5 for return postage) and then they would send the correct product to me. However this company did not do this, instead they refunded me (£10 less than what I originally paid) and told me I would have to reorder the original item. When I went to reorder the product, it had increased in price since my initial order. So to correct an error that this company made, I was expected to pay an extra £28 just to receive the same product I should have received originally. I have so far already lost £15 and refuse to spend any more on this company. They are refusing to accept payment of the original product at the original price (which is actually illegal under the Consumer Rights Act 2015) and they just ignored my latest email complaining about this. Richard King was initially very helpful with resolving the issue with the wrong delivery but I now feel I have been scammed by this company. Nobody should ever order from here.

Came here to check if this company is legit, after reading dozens of reviews I've decided I can't deal with this company. This company maybe right in each one of these disagreements but the way they respond to customer complaints is disgusting, they clearly have no customer service skills, how they're still in operation is beyond me.

Do not buy from this company. The hose I needed showed on their website as "in stock": this was a lie. They acknowledged the order with a shipping note: again a lie as the part was not shipped. After about two months of being strung along by them I was told that the part had arrived and would be shipped. The next day I learnt that they did not have the part after all and it would be yet another couple of weeks before they could deliver. They refunded my money.

A company has to be really, really bad before I’ll leave a bad review – only a handful over several years. These are people’s livelihoods after all. I’d much rather complain in person and give them a chance to put their point of view while listening to mine. However, when a company won’t allow you to do that and makes no effort to understand your query then this is the result. I regularly use and rely on reviews and believe it’s important for others to know what they’re dealing with so they can make an informed choice.
The customer service in question is terrible. While acceptable to begin with, when challenged on a particular matter, it descended into being rude and unhelpful with a curt ending of the call. It was quite shocking. Honestly, the worst company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. After that phone call. I was not convinced that they would deal with any issues that may arise if I ordered through them. I’d lost all confidence – even in actually getting the product, when I read other reviews.
I have ordered from companies with bad reviews before, usually after calling in to their customer service. If it’s good, I’ll take a chance; also if it’s local and I can go round if there’s a problem. I would not risk it with this company. It may go well for you but I suspect, especially after reading all these other reviews that’s it’s very hit and miss. After my own experience, I believe that if there’s a problem, you’ll be dealt with summarily and incredibly rudely. That was my experience before I’d even bought from them! If you value good customer service and fairness and decency, buy elsewhere.
