ZERO STARS
My experience with Northeast Surveyors has been nothing short of shocking. The initial survey was carried out on the wrong section of the wall, which led to completely inaccurate calculations. Despite that fundamental mistake, I was still charged £600 for those calculations — calculations that recommended installing gallows brackets that were already there.
When I pointed this out, I was then told the existing brackets “weren’t sufficient,” and instead of taking responsibility for the situation, they asked for £200 to release updated calculations — the calculations I believe I should have received from the start had the survey been done correctly.
This entire ordeal caused serious delays to the sale of my house. The buyer was close to walking away, and the stress it created for us was huge. To make matters worse, when the council inspected the property, they passed the existing brackets with no problem at all and were visibly surprised when I explained what had happened.
In my opinion, the service was careless, unprofessional, and terrible value for money. Given the amount of stress, inconvenience, and extra work this caused, I would absolutely expect them to reach out to me after this review and offer some form of partial refund or goodwill gesture.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think very carefully before using Northeast Surveyors.
