Great organization for students to join. Helpful in building leadership qualities.

In a short time I have been able to use the experience I have received from NSLS. The speakers that I was able to see gave me a few tidbits that really inspired me. The SNTs has helped in my confidence. So far my experience has been great. I appreciate the chance to grow with like minded people as support.

The NSLS membership has been a motivational component for building my leadership skills. As well as, providing me with opportunities to build a network of like minded individuals within the NSLS community. It also provides opportunities for future growth through events and scholarships.

What made my experience great is the success networking teams, because I actually kind of liked being able to discuss my S.M.A.R.T. goal with someone, so I can come up with a plan to achieve it. Also, what the company is doing well is how much they strive to get anyone who is eligible to what to join and be inducted, because it really convinced me.

The ethics tied to this organization are completely sound and there services are exceptional.

Overall experience and expectations of our mentees, mentors, and board members.

NSLS has been a powerful chapter in my growth. From leadership lessons to real self‑reflection, this experience reminded me that I’m capable of more than I realized. Proud of this milestone and excited for the future.

I am really enjoying the NSLS Association, the website for networking and participating in the certification process/activities. The website is user-friendly and has lots of great information along with other advanced leadership workshops to support my academic and professional goals. The achievements for my final certification and induction have been humbling and exciting in accomplishing my success with NSLS at the University of Kentucky.

My time with the NSLS has honestly been one of the most meaningful parts of my growth. The community, the speaker events, and the leadership work all pushed me in ways I didn’t expect. The NSLS has been an experience worth a lifetime; I would not have changed it whatsoever.

What I appreciated most was how real the development felt. It wasn’t just checking boxes — it made me reflect, set goals, and actually follow through. The conversations with other members and the guidance from the program helped me see myself as a leader in a more grounded, practical way.

My experience with NSLS has been really positive! I really enjoyed going through the induction process and completing the different steps because it gave me the opportunity to reflect on my goals, leadership skills, and personal growth. I especially liked the SNT meetings because they helped me stay accountable and actually track the progress I was making toward my goals. The process was very organized, and whenever I had a question or needed assistance, the support I received was helpful and friendly. Overall, I’m really happy I joined NSLS and officially became an inducted member. I’m looking forward to continuing to be involved and taking advantage of the opportunities and resources NSLS offers!
