Knowledge are next level

List of products are endless and nothing is to much even while I was on night shift on break they were still able to help and reply to my messages and give me advice on other questions I had

AVOID! Luckily I was in trial stage. My 0203 number they provided wasn't working. I emailed in, they asked for some details which I wasn't sure about and asked them to call me instead, to receive an email back saying "Following a thorough review, we are unable to offer you service at this time." I called up and the support team said they couldn't help me!

Just to add I'm an established recruitment agency with excellent credit history etc. I think they had a faulty number or something and easier for them to simply fob me off than deal with it!

Wouldn't trust these guys as far as can throw them - avoid like the plague. Just relieved this happened now before I got materials printed with their number on!!

We'd like to look into what happened here, as this isn't the experience we want anyone to have. A number not functioning during trial and a lack of clarity around next steps falls short of the standard we hold ourselves to.
We do occasionally have to make difficult decisions around onboarding due to OFCOM guidance, and we recognise that when those aren't communicated clearly, it leaves customers without the explanation they deserve.

been with number people for over a year…

been with number people for over a year now for my voip services. If ever i have an issue to resolve, the on line help functions have always resolved the issue with clear help instructions. was sceptical as i can find a way to speak to a person, but need not have worried. would highly recommend to anyone considering this service

They will cut you off and loose you customers

Do not trust this company, they block your account and stop your number working and don’t care. Luckily I was testing this number before getting business stationary printed, so glad I did as you can’t rely on this company not to simply cut you off.
Before they argue in their reply, I was in credit, I had provided all information they asked to verify my business and there was nothing suspicious.

Excellent customer service

After initial confusion on how the service and pricing worked I managed to speak to a team member who has excellent patience and clearly explained what I had misunderstood and how to remedy the situation. Took me from very disgruntled customer to really really pleased customer. Would note recommend

Honestly its the best virtual landline…

Honestly its the best virtual landline number operator we’ve dealt with, prices are reasonable, service is brilliant and easy to use and top up, continuous updates we receive on our email about any blocked-suspicious numbers, the fact that they are too easy to use and very easy to subscribe and top up makes life way much easier. Highly recommended

Broken form, hidden restrictions, and non-functional SMS

Signed up for the 30-day free trial to test inbound SMS and call verification. The signup form is broken, address lookup doesn't work, and the contact number field isn't marked as mandatory but blocks submission. Worse, the form accepts incomplete address data and creates the account anyway, which raises questions about their Ofcom 999 registration compliance.

SMS to the number didn't work at all during testing. The cancellation flow then reveals that verification calls are blocked until you add credit, something not mentioned anywhere during signup. The free trial is effectively useless for the most common use case.

The cancellation page also suggests three alternative providers which turn out to be the same company under different brand names.

The service may work fine for basic call forwarding but the misleading trial, broken form, incomplete address validation, and non-functional SMS make it impossible to recommend.

Amazing Customer Service

I have been with number people for just over a year now and the service is excellent. My account was cancelled due to a long period of inactivity (totally my fault). I managed to speak to a real person via email who had my account up and running again within one working day, highly reccommed!

The service is fine but the payment portal sucks

The service is fine, but payment is painful. Their provider is badly wired up meaning I couldn't pay online with any of my cards. Then, trying using my mobile phone instead of my laptop I eventually managed to make a payment on the 3rd attempt.

Phone system is Great but Topping up keeps failing

We have been with NumberPeople for years , the service works but for months now the auto top fails and I have to go in an manually pay , I have tried different cards , I am concerned one month I'll miss it and not only will the service fail but I might lose the number , if they dont fix this I will be moving to Voipfone - my mother in her 80's uses that and has no issues with payments

I've had an NP account for a few months…

I've had an NP account for a few months now, and during that time, I've needed to make changes to my account. When I contacted support, Alexei couldn't have been more helpful. There was no back and forth, having to explain over and over what I required. One request and the job was done.

Price quadrupled overnight

I ported my landline to Number People. Reasonable value at £1.50 per month (actually £5 a quarter to keep up with their credit robbery scheme). All of a sudden it is £6 a month. Same service. I'm deeply unhappy about their tactics and have just ported elsewhere. Beware.
