Very competitive price and excellent communication. Easy company to do business with and delivery was well organised. The oak is of good quality and the order was completed without any issues. Will definitely use them again when I need oak.

Service was good product wasn’t
Service was good. Product wasn’t.
Every board was different widths and thickness…150mm wide boards were ranging from 135 -175 in places and 5-6 mill deviation in thickness.
On a 3meter board , the bend was 25 mm out. Absolute nightmare when trying to build outdoor furniture/ kitchens.
Had to spend 2 extra days on the job straightening them out. Not ideal.
2 tables saw blades later. Ended up with 125mm wide boards.
I wouldn’t recommend…regardless of the cheap price

What concerns us most is that we didn't get the opportunity to help you resolve this before you invested additional time and effort. When issues like this arise, we have solutions in place, whether replacements or adjustments. That's exactly what we're here for.
From what you've described, those boards are clearly outside our tolerance range, and that shouldn't happen. Fresh-sawn oak naturally varies due to the rough nature of the cut, but our tolerances are usually only in addition, so you can trim and adjust on-site to fit your specific needs. In this case, we fell short of that standard, and we apologise.

Good product at a good price
Good product at a good price , courier let me down (based near edinburgh) but it made it there a working day late which was a problem for me as I paid wages out to staff to be there to receive and start to process the delivery that never came! Anyway, no fault of oakmax but could be worth considering alternative transport. Would still reccomend.

Oak was good for the price
Oak was good for the price. A bit rough and bowed, but for the price absolutely no complaints there. Delivery was a nightmare. The delivery service you use are terrible. Good customer service on phone, but communication between the companies staff was awful. I lost a day and a half of work waiting at home for delivery as I was told to by your company.

Thank you for your feedback.
I understand your comments regarding the delivery, especially around communication and the time spent waiting. This is not the level of service we want to be associated with.
As you know, to deliver nationwide we rely on third-party hauliers. While situations like this can happen from time to time, we have not had similar issues with this particular haulier in the past. That said, we are now paying closer attention to deliveries in that area and will take the necessary steps, including working with alternative hauliers where needed, to improve the overall quality of the delivery service.
I also appreciate your comments about our customer service, good to hear that part worked as expected, and I will pass this on to the team.

Great service great price…
I have used Oakmax twice and on each occasion service, price and quality excellent. It is green oak with some splits and looks a bit rough and ready. Spend a few minutes sanding and it comes to life, quality wood at a very reasonable price, even with delivery 👍
