Questionable quality

Mis-sold on their site where for the specific hoverkart bundle they state 2 hours run time for a 2 hour charge. This is not correct!

Every time I ask the question of true run time they avoid it. A clear mis sell of this product in my personal view so beware if you feel £269 warrants 30 minutes of fun each time.

3rd purchase of these boards now and one remains in good working order. The second went wrong after a year rendering the guaranty useless and the 3rd purchased only a week ago runs for around 30 minutes before stopping which is useless.

Massively disappointed for the price and with a very upset kid to boot.
Buy with caution!

Faulty item, bad communication, wrong item sent back

Ordered a hoverboard from this company for my son. He opened it on Xmas day to find it faulty, one of the wheels didn't turn. Emailed them, received a return label and shipped it back.

Received the replacement item, which was a completely different unit. Wrong type and wrong colour. Since emailing back to attempt to rectify this there has been no response.

Absolute waste of time and money, with my son still asking every day where his hoverboard is.

We have your hoverboard and it is repaired and waiting to be sent out to you. All you need to do is let us know when the hoverboard you received by mistake has been dropped off with the return label we provided.

A great toy

A very well made product which my son loves. The hoverboard did develop a fault but this was repaired and returned quickly.

Do NOT buy from the Australian website…

Do NOT buy from the Australian version of Official Hoverboard. Bought hoverboard with express shipping on Dec 11, given a fake aramex tracking number on the 12th, no phone number listed and no response to several emails.
Now have a dispute in with the bank because it didn’t arrive for Christmas.
Looked up the address, it’s a shoddy warehouse with a caravan parked outside, multiple “business” addresses listed for this address.

Horrible company, beware!

Horrible company to deal with, we are now getting our credit card company involved so we can get our money back.
The hoverboard sent out to us was faulty so we contacted their customer service straight away and were told to take the unit apart and see if we could see what the issue was. I refused to do this and asked for a refund or a new replacement hoverboard… i explained that the hoverboard had not been used and faulty straight out of the box, this is when their customer service started to become difficult to deal with and ignored us at times. I managed to send the hoverboard back to them and again stated i wanted a refund or a replaced new hoverboard, they eventually replied stating they had repaired the hoverboard and had sent it back to us.
Beware of this company!

I was nervous about ordering after…

I was nervous about ordering after reading a few reviews especially as I have 7 children and would be ordering hoverkart bundles for 5 of them so a big order, I started off with emailing Official Hoverboard, and spoke with Alex as I needed to know how long it would if I place an order, he checked and reassured me I should have it within a day or two, well I can honestly say I am absolutely amazed from start to finish it was about 24hrs literally after ordering I had my order the following day all 5 kart bundles!! (That's 10 boxes!!) Just before Christmas! If you are skeptical about ordering or nervous well don't be as they really do go above and beyond to make their customers happy! A Massive Thankyou Alex and all at Official Hoverboard! Merry Christmas X

Absolutely top tier customer service

Absolutely top tier customer service! Definitely the best experience I have ever had regarding customer service! I cannot thank this company enough. My son had additional needs and without a question of a doubt they where able to give me what I had asked for with the upmost respect 😍 will definitely recommend and will most definitely use official hoverboard again in the near future. Excellent customer service

I'm re writing a review,

Ordered a hoverboard which arrived literallybthe next day and had a couple of issues with it. The first being that the app would not load on my new phone.

First shout goes to Gyroor the asian maker, they were great, correspondance was in good English and was personal not automated they not only fixed their app but made sure I got to test it all within 2 days.

I had a second fault where the bluetooth on the main board was not talking (it took a little while to get comms with official hiverboard, however I have learned there was illness involved and Alex was most apologetic) Since contact though .... excellent service and again personal not automated. Return was easy and a new and tested board on its way bad. I should also say that repair and return was expedited as it was needed for a shortly happening birthday present.

Power off issue / stopped working

I purchased this Galaxy hoverboard for my daughter for her birthday. She has mobility issues so this was a blessing ( she can finally keep up with her sister!).

We had to wait for a dry day ( as we didn't want any risk of damage) and she loved it. Bluetooth speaker is really good, the build is solid etc.

However...

On the second day of use (inside the house) the status continued to flash blue and it wouldn't power off! I had to remove the back plate and disconnect the battery.

The telephone number is inactive (reading reviews, it has been for a number of years). I emailed the company today (28/9) so it would only be fair to give them time to respond/ send a replacement. I have, however, read a number of reviews stating this company are a 'scam' etc., so I am hoping a review here might help expedite things.

The website looks 100% legitimate, and their claims to being the 'UK's best seller' reassured me. I did, however, have a similar situation a couple of years ago with a drone company so I will be GUTTED if this happens again.

I will definitely come back and upgrade this review if the customer service is good.

Pleased to say I managed to get through to Alex by asking for someone to call me. He was very apologetic and very helpful.
I posted the hoverboard back 2 days ago, today I received a follow up call and now have an email to say the hoverboard is being delivered. Very happy little lady (and parents too).

It was frustrating not to be able to contact directly but once this was achieved, it was handled very well.

The board had a faulty switch and I've been told it has been repaired.

I read a number of negative reviews and was having cold sweats over the whole thing, but felt really reassured today.

I've never left a review before, so hoping this will reassure others in a similar position. If the board makes it through the year, I'll upgrade to 5*.

Total scam

Don’t buy anything from them if you have already purchased if anything goes wrong repair it locally even if you have warranty for the smallest things they ask you to send back to them and that is the trick once they receive it back you will receive an email that your motor has gone and your battery also is damaged and you have to pay for repair even when you send them fully functional and if you ask them this was fully functional then they come back with another story that Thais has been damaged in transit and they are not liable for that so may the charger issue will cost you £200 when you could buy it in £20 I have sent them an email with video explaining that they only issue was with charging and the charger wasn’t working but they insist that I need to send them back charging me £20 and I received back total broken

I am sorry that you had a negative experience with us.

As explained in our emails, when your scooter arrived back with us it was damaged. We clearly state that when sending products back to us that they should be securely packaged to avoid damage being caused during transit. We cannot take liability for any damage caused during transit back to us; as we did not package the product ourselves.

The issue you sent your scooter back for was a charging issue which we repaired under the terms of warranty. This was a free repair. We could not repair your motor for free as the reasons it was damaged fell outside of the scope of warranty. We informed you of the price of the repair for the motor which was £100, not the £200 you have stated in your review. At no point was a price of £200 given to you.

You were provided all photos and videos that our team took of your scooter during inspection which showed the damage and the faults, however, whilst stating that you had images of how it was packaged before sending to us, you have declined to provide these to us. If these had been provided to us, then the outcome could have possibly been different. These were not provided, so we could only base our results on the evidence presented to us upon inspection.

Great product great servicd

I ordered the wrong product, customer service was super fast and super helpful which ensured we received the correct seat in time for our boys birthday. They were great, product was great. Would definitely recommend.

I’m still mad with these cowboys

I’m still mad with these cowboys. Wasted £300 on cheap tat and even worse customer service. I’ve been left with a completely unusable hoverboard that I don’t know why I keep it in my garage as it makes me mad every time I see it.
Stay away……

I would give a minus if it were possible

I’d give this company a zero if I could
I ordered my grandson a hoverboard/kart bundle £290
It did not work, no working business phone line set the alarms ringing, only contact was via email.
Replies were super slow from Alex sometimes over 24 hours, recalibrate he said, we have, send a video of yourself doing it, we did, send a video of the light flashes, we did, eventually he supplied a pre paid label to return hoverboard to repair or possibly replace, I asked for another for the kart, why do you want to return the kart I was asked, because the board doesn’t work and after all this hassle I’m not accepting a replacement and I’m definitely not taking a repair on a brand new item
I found his emails a bit of a veiled threat, do this do that or we won’t accept the return, the return will be sent back.
I opened a PayPal case and even with that he left everything to the last possible moment to respond, I eventually received a full refund via PayPal, it took around 6 weeks from ordering to getting my money back
I received an email after PayPal had refunded me from the company informing me that yes the item was faulty, yep I know, and how because it hadn’t been returned in the original box they were within their rights to reduce the refund but as a gesture of goodwill and customer satisfaction they wouldn’t, I really did laugh at the fact they think they’ve shown any sort of customer service at all. Alex you did not refund, PayPal enforced the refund!
I cannot believe the utterly appalling service from this company, I’d promised this to my grandson for the summer holidays, my money was tied up in this company for weeks and weeks so he had to go without because I wasn’t in a position to rebuy it elsewhere
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I wish I’d seen the reviews before buying, I made the mistake of trusting the OFFICIAL bit

I am sorry you have had a bad experience with us. It is never our intention to upset a customer.

Just to clear some things up. Each of your emails was answered within 24 hours. This is stated on our website that you will receive a response within 24 hours.

In regards to your refund; you had opened a case with PayPal regarding your order at the start of August. However, we only received your product back on the 23rd August. As such, we were unable to provide a refund until at least this date. We had to inspect the product before we could take any action.

Once it was inspected, we attempted to provide a refund, but as you had opened a case with PayPal, we were unable to process a refund. If the case had not been opened, then a refund would have been processed as normal.

Once again, we are very sorry that you have had a negative experience with us. It is never our intention to cause any distress or upset to our customers.

Shocking company

Shocking company totally avoid at all costs. Purchased an electric scooter for my son at Christmas he has used it a handful of times and it cut out i repeatedly emailed tried to phone with no response then eventually got email back to send item back at my expense of £20 for postage.
Item got inspected then I was told it was water damage ( how convenient) and warranty didn't cover it so it was costing me £170 to get this fixed. The repairs were made we recieved the scooter back for it not to be working again and worse than that the LED screen was damaged when delivered back and the packaging was absolutely horrific when it got delivered as the box was open at the top. I am now upholding a dispute with the company and am awaiting a response.

Avoid like the plague would never recommend the company at all.

Scooter cut out and wouldn't turn on for hours from 1st use sent it back at cost 2 me was returned to me 3 week later packaged in exalt way I returned it had same fault now doesn't even stay on more than a second
