I am writing this formal letter to provide you with a final opportunity to resolve the ongoing withholding of my wages. This matter has reached a critical stage, and I am now prepared to escalate this to legal proceedings without further notice.
Background of Dispute: Despite providing comprehensive proof of my wages (wage slips and employer details) on 16th January 2026 , OhentPay has failed to process my transfers or release my funds. I have already filed an official complaint and notified the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Impact and Hardship: Your continued failure to release my funds has caused severe financial and mental distress. I am currently unable to meet basic living costs, including rent, utilities, and food for my children. Be advised that in any future legal action, I will be seeking damages for the foreseeable financial losses and emotional distress caused by your negligence.
Formal Demand: I require that the full balance of my withheld wages be transferred to my nominated account within 24 hours of this email.
Next Steps: If the funds are not released by 4pm on 22nd January 2026 , I will take the following actions:
File a claim in the County Court (Small Claims) to recover the funds, plus interest and court fees.
Provide a formal update to the Financial Ombudsman Service regarding your lack of response to a vulnerable customer in hardship.
This letter is sent in accordance with the Pre-Action Protocol. I look forward to your immediate confirmation that the transfer has been processed.

It been over 2months when I got an update regarding my account getting restricted, I was also informed that my account will be closed and my remaining funds in my account will be released to me when decision is decided.
Firstly, any financial institution closing your bank account in the uk should be ready to give you the balance in your account before or after closure of your account.
In my case it been over 6months when they made the first decision and also over 2months since they gave me a proper response regarding my money. Anytime I write them I get the same response “Our team is working on it and decision regarding your remaining balance in your account will be communicated with you soon, we don’t have a specific time frame” for over 2 months in total 6-8months now. Still no update, or any chance of my money being returned to me.
Please I kind ask you release my money from my closed bank account, I don’t want any to do with your financial institution anymore. It’s absolutely disgusting and frustrating.

Anything that glitter is not gold, at first that are good, fast and efficient, later they start showing you their colors, April 2025 my account was restricted and later went into closure after giving them everything they ask for they went ahead and close it on the 1st of August, up until now I'm still waiting for my refund, the money in my account have not been refunded, they keep telling me that they are still working on it, today is 5th of January 2026, I need my money back , someone should do something, you guys can keep my money and it taking too much time for response.

This is one of the worst services I have ever come across in my years of banking online. There have been restrictions on me for more than 5 months now, without any valid reason, which is unfair to me, and I hate this because I have provided every information asked of me. Please customers or people out there don't waste your precious time banking with these people they are thieves. Bro, there’s nothing to review, and please advise them to peacefully refund my money back to its original source which also carries the same name because this is just a means of extortion, and I am completely disappointed with your service. I am extremely disappointed with OhentPay. This is hands down the worst online payment app I've ever encountered. The biggest issue is their refusal to return your money when things go wrong. I had a transaction error, and despite providing all the necessary information, they simply wouldn't give my money back.
Their customer service is also shockingly bad. It's nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone who can actually help, and when you do, they're unhelpful and seem disinterested in resolving your issues. The app itself is clunky and unreliable, often freezing or displaying error messages.
Overall, OhentPay is a completely useless app that will only cause you frustration and financial loss. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this app at all costs and choose a more reputable and reliable payment platform."

The worst experience you will ever get is using OhentPay for international money transfer. Most transfers I have made with this poor company has been laden with pathetic delays spanning more than 16 hours after the transfer has been initiated! This is the worst customer service the UK did not bargain for. They should be subject to review by the UK money watchdog, FCA. Their services are deplorable and will leave you perplexed if you ever become so unlucky to fall into their nest of money transfer delay, if there is anything worse than 1 star I will give to them. Their services are poor and that is me being even modest. The worst part is before initiating the transfer they write that it will take 15 minutes and you get deceived into making the transfer only for you to face delays over several hours. This is unfair this guys should just close shop or face UK sanctions! They are bad and poor, they are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my lifetime, there is no mincing words.
