refit nose pads

I dropped in to ask if they could refit some nose pads that had come off and Brad was obliging and fixed them for me on the spot and without charge. I hadn't bought them from this store neither. Good service

This is the second time I have had an awful experience at Browns Plains. I went into the store urgently for new glasses, as my puppy ruined mine. The young lady on 10th May had no interest. She kept looking in the mirror, fixing her hair. I asked her for more styles, and she opened bottom drawers with her foot and said, 'Here you go!' I found my glasses, and my subscription is with them. She refused to give me the glasses, as my last eye test was a few years ago. She didn't even want to book in a test. I said I am not interested, and they did not care. Even the manager was not interested. Terrible service. They lost a $800 sale.

Incompetent staff at OPSM Robina

I will not let the time pass not writing this review about your staff. I made mention this issue to your manager but I don't think he bothers to mind it.

This star is for the staff named Lisa at Robina OPSM. Although her tone of talking had changed after she seemed embarrassed, but my question how can she not know about computing customers charges. I even thought she was the manager but to my surprise she is ... anyway I just picked up my new multi focal transition Oroton prescription glasses yesterday. As i am still adjusting to it i would say at the moment I am 50% happy. I been there first week of April to enquire for new glasses after 4 yrs since my last visit. I was surprised by what this lady staff Lisa (big lady) said," you can go to spec savers or Burleigh bcuz they cater for pensioners. She had my record on the screen in front of her. I don't know if she read it. I had several multifocal quality glasses ( 3 Versace) from this OPSM but why would she belittle me. I kept arguing that i said yes I had veterans gold card and whatever this card benefit me I will add the remaining. Still she argued. You go somewhere that caters pensioners. Goodness. She talks BS. Yes I am one but I have house worth money. Is she well off? Why is she works at OPSM? just lucky that she asked other staff, a gentleman said yes she can pay the difference and taught her how to do the calculation. With her age I thought she knows about this. Why is this lady been hired? How many people she turned away?!Please lady better for you to work somewhere not dealt with people or work in woolies. Don't belittle people bcuz I'm sure you're not rich. I regret having my new eyeglasses here. Perhaps my last. My advice, if you find staff not competent but just talking BS, ask the supervisor to talk to you. I had big regret asking to her. Good luck to you Lisa. 👎🏿👎🏿

After Sale support

I recently purchased a new pair of frames with progressive lenses, but experienced some difficulty with reading. When I returned to the store, the team promptly reassessed my eyes and, without any hesitation, offered to replace the lenses.

A big thank you to the amazing store team, especially Seeun and Anu, for guiding me through the entire process with such ease and comfort. Your support made a real difference.

I’ve always been a loyal Luxottica customer and will definitely continue to be one. Thanks once again!

Rushed and rude

My husband and I had an appointment at Warwick Branch today and the optometrist was so rude and rushed. She told me I was taking too long to see which eye I felt was better and snatched the brochure off me and said, "It shouldn't take that long, just blink your eyes". I was rather shocked. She also told both myself and my husband individually that although our eyesight was 95% and that our prescription for glasses would be very very mild, that if we didn't buy glasses, then our eyesight would deteriorate and we would be back soon anyway to buy glasses. When I took my daughter to SpecSavers, the professionalism was much nicer and was not rushed at all. Would certainly NOT recommend OPSM and would go to SpecSavers from now on.

Three months and still no contact…

Three months and still no contact lenses!
Visited OPSM in December for updated cotact lenses.
It is now March and I still haven't received what I paid for.
I was told that my particular strength of lenses take longer to make and I should have them by the first week of April.
A bit hard to believe!

Left without glasses for 4 weeks...How am I supposed to see OPSM???

I had a recent eye test and advised lenses needed to be slightly stronger by the Optometrist. The staff member who then proceeded to order the stronger lenses(which were to be placed in my existing frames)told me I could keep the existing glasses so I was not without glasses while the new lenses were being made(I only have the one pair of glasses)They told me the lenses would take a week to be made...this later changed to 4 weeks!!...and my glasses subsequently would also need to be sent away, leaving me with no glasses for the 4 weeks. They were made aware,I only have one pair of glasses....but did'nt show any consideration for this....how do they expect me to be able to see over the 4 week period? The manager was contacted about the situation I am left in and was supposed to call me to discuss my concerns....did'nt bother!!...So much for customer satisfaction OPSM Castle Hill.
I have been a customer of OPSM Castle Hill for a number of years...having had a number of pairs of glasses from this Optometrist...at considerable expense over the years......Will not be continuing as a customer given this recent poor customer service....absolutely appalling!!....There are plenty of other Optometrists OPSM!!!!!

Wrong prescription 3 times

Had one set of glasses redone 3 times. Stupidly went in following year and script was shit again. So I threw glasses in a draw until the following year when I got a new rebate. Went to eyeconcepts in Southland, excellent!
Was told the that not only were my lenses from OPSM inferior quality but stronger than what I needed so that's why I couldn't use them. My new script one year later was almost 1 point less in each eye.
Contacted OPSM Karen Noble got back to me a rude liar! She said everything she could to deter me but I won't back down. I paid over $900 for a set of lenses i never used. I have them and they are brand new. Never was asked to bring them in. SHOCKING customer handling she was a disgrace.

I wish that I had read reviews beforehand

I wish that I had read reviews on OPSM South Yarra before so that I could have gone elsewhere. I went for a contact lens consultation and it was a waste of time. They bulk billed under Medicare and wanted me to pay on top, which they didn’t tell me in 2 text messages, an email or a phone call before I went in. Was made to feel like they were doing me a favour in the store.

Vision Plan rip off

I set up a 12 month vision plan for 2 pairs of glasses.
Checked my bank account & 4 extra payments have been deducted.
Explanation: ‘The plans are usually 3 pairs for 3 years.’
Very inefficient system. So, if I hadn’t been on the ball, my payments would have continued for 3 years.

Just go to Specsavers

My mum had gotten a few free glasses coupons from somewhere, and we went to OPSM for those free glasses instead of Specsavers since they only work there.

A week later after an appointment we got a message to come get them, and as soon as I put mine on. I was seeing red and blue edging around words, letters, objects, everything. Like shitty 3D glasses. But I ignored it, figuring I was overreacting.

Turns out, they ended up somehow accidentally giving me the expensive lenses, instead of the standard ones. The damn lenses made me feel off-balance, felt I somehow had a fish bowl on my head, almost drunk or high (unable to walk properly) and made my eyes and head hurt.

My mum ended up calling them, and they had the gall for me to continue wearing them, and “get used to it/them.” I’m not wearing them, spoiler alert. They’re apparently working on actually giving me the appropriate lenses, but so far I’ve heard of nothing.

If you value not maybe accidentally getting wrong lenses, and having access to cheaper and more affordable frames, just go to Specsavers, from my experience.

Edit (10/02): My mom got them, and there’s a disconnect between what the woman in the store, and what the one over the phone said.

Phone lady said: “These are expensive (400/500 AUD, iirc) lenses.” The in-store lady?: “Those are lenses for kids/children (around 0-22, maybe)” so there’s a disconnect.

And a gross and absolute lack of professionalism. I’m not planning on going back to that Parabanks store if I can help it.

Very recently visited the Southland store looking to order glasses.
Thought I’d give a different company to where I normally have my test and order my script. Spent at least 10mins in store without being approached - two store members having a great convo.
Left and went back to my store and placed my order there.
I’ll stick to where I’m actually served.
Quite disappointing considering they had a great range of glasses.
I work in customer service so I understand if everyone is busy serving however …

OPSM

OPSM
I purchased two pairs of glasses, both requiring prescriptions. Unfortunately, both pairs were made incorrectly and had to be returned. When they came back the second time, only one pair was correct; the driving glasses were still wrong.

Despite this, I was asked to undergo another eye test, even though the issue was not with the prescription itself. The new eye test confirmed the exact same prescription.

My driving glasses were then sent away again, and I was told they would take two weeks. Since then, I’ve had to follow up multiple times, and during my most recent visit, staff appeared unsure of the situation and were unable to provide any explanation, update, or solution.

I have now been waiting **two months** for a pair of glasses I have already paid for and still do not have — and have never been able to use.

Follow up from OPSM would have gone a long way.

$90 price increase in the last three weeks!!

I visited the OPSM Miranda store prior to Christmas and tried on a pair of Chanel frames priced at $830 (frames only). When I returned tonight to purchase the exact same pair, the price had increased to $920. A $90 increase within a three-week period feels unreasonable. I currently have a voucher to use, however I’m not paying such a significant increase in a short period of time… three weeks for the identical product.
OPSM I would like to exchange my gift card for cash!!!!

OPSM rebate refund

I ordered glasses on 2/11, claimed my health cover rebate of $255 but cancelled the order on 3/11 because decided to would wait for the Black Friday sales. A pair of multifocal sunglasses with 30% off lenses and 30% frames ($220) cost $880.00! I followed up with 3 visits to the Hawthorn branch, 6 phone calls, 2 emails to customer service (with no response) and 2 calls to customer service for my rebate refund. CS advised they would escalate my complaint to the regional manager (who I wont name) and he would call within 3 days. The regional manager called me 12 days later! He rambled on, could not even tell me why it took so long, care factor was zero, just in a hurry to tell me the rebate had been refunded today 17/12! Not only being dismissive, he did not even apologise for the delay in calling me but instead chose to handball the to blame Head Office and the accounts department. What a crap management team and poor customer service. All my precious time wasted dealing with that company. OPSM are not cheap and I expect a lot more from them. To top it off they are not even Australian owned! Even better reason not to use them again.

Terrible service and uneducated optometrists

I have been very underwhelmed by the service I have received from the Caloundra Opsm branch.
I have been given prescriptions that are too strong for my eyes which has caused issues with my vision. I ended up going to an independent optometrist who was able to work out what was actually wrong with my eyes and treat it with the right temporary prescription.
I have emailed OPSM, customer service responded saying they have forwarded my concerns to the Caloundra branch and that they'll be in touch, I'm still waiting and the deadline has passed. I'd like a refund for my lenses that I recently purchased from Opsm.

If I could give a zero star I would

If I could give a zero star I would. Returned to OPSM today with two pairs of glasses that have been unusable. The optometrist acknowledged they had been manufactured incorrectly but when it came time to discuss new lenses, the retail staff were adamant that I would need to pay an additional $500 per pair to replace the lenses. Their "generous offer" was to include the 50% off second pair promotion which should have applied anyway.

Do yourself and your community a favour and find an independent optometrist who actually gives a damn about service because their livelihood depends on it. Last time I will step through OPSM's doors.
