ADOS VIRTUAL APPOINTMENT
I had an ADOS assessment virtual appointment with a lovely lady who made me feel at ease.
Lovely appointment
Had my ados assessment with a very lovely lady who was understanding and clear and concise throughout and ensured that I had all the relevant information I needed
Amazing
I went to the doctors not even 3 months ago after realising that I may potentially have adhd, i expected to wait a long time so when I got a letter with an appointment within a month I was shocked, I was even more shocked when my next appointment was the same again. Within 2-3 months of going to the doctors I now have a diagnosis and the hope of a better quality of life, the secretary team at the healthcare group where do good and there was a slight mix up at one point and they got back to me straight away and put my mind at ease, the whole process was quick, easy and the people doing my assessment made me feel at ease. I got my diagnosis on the NHS but I would encourage anyone to go ahead with them should they wish to go private. I’m so relieved I don’t have to live another two years waiting for clarity and answers and I can’t thank them enough because now I can get the support I need.

So pleased with the service provided at optimise I was referred under the NHS and was seen within a matter of months, the whole process was smooth. The clinicians were professional and lovely and have been so helpful with the diagnosis process! Can’t thank them enough!
Friendly, person-centred care with a high level of professionalism
I was directed to Optimise through BUPA and received a diagnosis of ADHD earlier this year. I was initially a little apprehensive about going through the diagnostic process, as my confidence in mental healthcare provision was low after marginally negative experiences with the NHS around 20 years ago. How different the experience has been with Optimise!
I was wary of starting the diagnosis process, initially trying to muddle through without medication, but I can now certainly say that it’s been worth it, and the team has made what could have been a stressful process much easier and less turbulent than I’d imagined it could be. I’ve felt totally supported from the outset. The service is a far cry from the horror stories bandied about in the press about private ADHD assessments – the offering has been thorough, professional and provided a high standard of care throughout. Both the diagnosis and resulting medication have made a huge difference to my general wellbeing and daily life.
At each step of the way, from my initial consultation to my assessment and titration period, I’ve felt that the service is totally person-centred and respectful, with a high level of professionalism. I’ve had a say in my treatment pathway throughout and always felt listened to. I initially felt uncomfortable talking about issues that I face with ADHD, but every staff member I’ve spoken with at Optimise quickly made me feel comfortable and at ease. Dr Nazir has been amazing from the outset. He takes time to listen, explains things clearly and is non-judgmental – talking to you like a person and treating you as an equal – making sure you are comfortable with the decisions and treatment offered. Anne has also been fantastic throughout diagnosis by clarifying the process and dealing with queries right away.
I also absolutely appreciate the efficiency and modern digital solutions that Optimise offer. It makes the regular check-ups and getting my medication so easy – especially as someone with ADHD who finds these things difficult and time-consuming. Much communication around booking appointments and asking questions can be done via email, meaning no long waits in call queues, no need to call within certain opening times, and the ability to check over messages before sending. Documents (from medication information leaflets to assessment reports) are securely stored in an online account, meaning I can access them easily from anywhere. Appointments can be conducted remotely online, so they are convenient and don’t disrupt your day, plus it’s easy to attend on time. Prescriptions are processed automatically each month, sent directly to the linked pharmacy, with the option to pay online without a fuss, and the medication is then posted to me – no need to visit a pharmacy and wait in queues. I do as much as I can online in all areas of life, and it was a relief to find such an efficient, no-nonsense service offering digital solutions to healthcare!
I’ve been so pleased with the service provided by Dr Nazir and Optimise as a whole, that I declined moving over to GP shared care and have chosen to continue with them. The simplified, friendly service they offer is worth paying for!
Excellent support and services.
The best of the best
10 OUT OF 10! Wouldn’t send anyone anywhere else.
In a nut shell optimise we’re Person-centred, flexible, patient and professional.
I have always felt somewhat out of place, at school, social situations, work and university. As a social work student at university I wanted answers about my difficulties because I want to be able to thrive the best I can. For me this isn’t like school anymore, this is a career path and I need support now more than ever. From the moment I met with the professionals I was made to feel comfortable and able to be myself.
As an adult looking for help with who I am and my identity which for so many years has been scrutinised, I couldn’t have been given better guidance. In honestly this assessment came with some uncomfortable questions and I felt I could answer them with confidence knowing I had 2 of the most genuine, professional, patient and calm people to work with.
From the start of my journey I was sent some questionnaires. This makes the process very thorough, which is what you need when looking for guidance and want a job done properly. In honestly I struggled with understanding the questionnaires and answering them (one of the reasons I came to this service) and from an email I’d sent, I had a conversation on the phone in a matter of days with support and help. For anyone that see’s those many questionnaires and might be like me, they can look daunting and procrastination takes over, it makes you regret ever asking for help.
But trust me, stick with it, and trust the professionals to help.
My first assessment with one of the nurses Lauren having someone so humble, genuine and patient was exactly what I needed and was looking for in a health setting. Honesty is important when working with people and that’s what I got.
Second assessment with a psychiatrist I really didn’t know what to expect but wow! Calm, supportive, genuine and most importantly non-judgmental. If there were questions I didn’t want to answer I didn’t feel pressured to do so. And even gave me more information about my diagnosis that I didn’t realise was related. Thank you Rashad!
If you want honesty, kindness and person centred Optimise is where you need to be.
Hearing from friends and family who have had assessments themselves, it doesn’t sound to me like the other clinics took their time with them as much as optimise do with their clients.
This is the second review for Optimise…
This is the second review for Optimise healthcare and i personally think its the most important one.
From the simple email conversations from the attentive and patient secretary who explained everything so well and answered my numerous emails all in one day without making me feel like i was a burden or wasting there time, this helped me even open the emails and reduced my anxiety levels.
My first assessment via video link was so easy to understand and i was made to feel very comfortable answering the questions for the nurse.
This lead to the second stage of meeting the doctor, which was approximately two weeks later, a fast easy to comprehend approach.
The doctors questions opened up a myriad of answers that i have never thought about, like a light shining into a prism. This all helps me understand my behaviour and anxieties in my everyday life and my personal life, it explains the fragmented parts of my life that i have questioned my position within my standing in my work and family life. This has explained the isolation and feelings of intense loneliness and rejection.
I found the way the doctor spoke was in a clear and easy manner without any judgment or trepidation for future conversations.
I look forward for the advice and future conversations and interactions with the Optimise group to help me achieve more than i thought i could ever achieve.

I was nervous about my ASD consultation but i felt at ease with the doctor. Thank you

The Lady I spoke with during my appointment was very easy to talk to, she was reassuring and calm throughout my appointment. I lovely team of people.
Really helpful and informative
Really helpful and informative. Didn't have to wait long from referral for the appointments
Nothing but perfect
Nothing but perfect, easy appointments, kinda caring staff and any Emails sent I’ve had a reply… wish we had these in the first place.. thank you to all the staff
Answers to my endless questions..
I recently had some assessments for the neurodivergent pathways.
GAD-7, PHQ 9, MADRS, BAARS- iv, ASRS, AQ 10, ADOS, ADIR questions for each was completed at home and submitted online a head of my 4 assessment appointments.
I had 4 assessment appointments altogether. Some an hour each some a upto 3 hours. These were done by a speech & language therapist, mental health nurse, Doctor and consultant psychiatrists. (Sophie, Dr Samon, Lauren, Dr Nazia)
They all asked lots of questions, took the completed questionnaires into account and where friendly and professional.
When I called to ask questions or enquire as to things in the reports the staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful. (Molly and Anne)
My whole experience with Optimise has been pleasant and informative. I had previously been referred on the NHS and was waiting on the list 7months before funding was pulled and then referred to Optimise and had the journey within a few months. I’d definitely Recommend them to others wishing to discover any curiosities they have about themselves.

I was surprised I was seen quickly as I had expected a longer wait. Whilst my first appointment was postponed by a few days, I received a very apologetic email and prompt, courteous responses to my replies. I was seen via a video link by a very kind and encouraging person named Sita. I felt very reassured and cared for.
Molly was extremely helpful with…
Molly was extremely helpful with setting up my first appointment following referral - nothing was too much trouble and she encouraged me to get back in touch if I had any questions about the process.
I hope it stays like this!
I spoke with Molly this morning, and she answered straight away with warmth and friendliness, addressing my questions without hesitation. I sincerely hope our interactions continue to be as pleasant as this one.
Useless, rude and still no help
Made out the appointment was a phone call. Came through it was a video conference. Didnt send a link to this and then wanted me to wait a further 2 months to get booked back in. Rude unhelpful staff that make out their trying to help and they really are not. Not like ive been on a waiting list for over 18 months already.
Need to Hire better staff
Cannot fault the prescribing dr’s and consultants however the reception staff have not got an idea what is going on regards to my prescription . They have poor communication with the pharmacy they use to prescribe and I have been left with no help and no medication for a week now
Disgusted with optimise.
Disgusted with optimise.
Got told by doctor that he would do house visit, then next thing I know been struck off and medication stopped after 17 years which is both pathetic and dangerous

Been placed under their care for a fortnight, they've lied to me about sending out my prescription and now expect me to wait a fortnight without medication before they'll do anything. Not fit for service, pathetic and unhelpful phone support and doctor's that quite simply lie to you. An absolute shower of ****
