Worthless warranty
Bought a £599 outback stainless meteor 6 bbq. On first use the stand collapsed under the weight of the unit. Poor quality mild steel. Outback blamed transit damage and claimed they no longer made this unit. Despite being on their website. Refused to do anything under warranty. Won't replace base. What's the point in a warranty?! Rude and no customer service.

Appalling quality, appalling customer service
Bought a genuine Outback cover for my Outback BBQ in Oct 2013. After 2 1/2 years use the cover has cracked so badly that it is nothing better than a sieve. Copious leaks have rendered the wooden side tables rotten beyond repair and metallic elements of the (not cheap in the 1st place) BBQ itself strewn with rust. Maybe an indication that all Outback items are nothing better than overpriced rubbish
I complained to Outback who advised that the covers are "only for rain protection so if permanently left out exposed to the British weather will deteriorate over a period of time"
If they are no use for the UK - why sell them here ?
If anyone is interested I'm happy to share images of the product and the damage its use has resulted in - my advice - avoid, avoid, avoid.
Use a plastic bag instead. Far cheaper and you know what you're getting !
