book didn’t arrive, no response from emails, no refund

Bought a book from them using Amazon, did not arrive, they did not respond to any of my emails, they have not refunded my money! Avoid!!!

The worst.

Please read the reviews below before buying anything from the UK Paperback Shop. Unfortunately, I acted quickly and didn't look out for reviews and now I'm facing exactly the same situation with the rest. My order is already two days late after three weeks of waiting. There is no tracking information, no assistance from the seller to understand when I should be receiving the item and so on and so forth. The communication from their side is terrible and thank god that at least they are responding to the phone calls.

The Pits Horrible customer service

The Pits, worst customer service I have ever had. Never use them again. They can't even look into shipping problems. They keep sending the same USPS tracking link to look up which is not the issue, the order was lost. Emailed customer service twice explaining the book shipment was interrupted, kept sending me the USPS tracking link. Their shipper OSM was very helpful.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. They will charge you for books that you will never receive. Horrible experience. Will never order from them again.

I wish I could be positive about their delivery ...

I wish I could be positive about their delivery. Ordered 4 books last half year and none of them arrived. I got a full refund for all of them which is a good thing but I would have liked to receive the books.

The customer service is good. Had quick and clear answers on my questions, except the question why the orders placed with them are not being delivered (at different addresses) while orders at other sellers are all being received.

I ordered a book through Barnes and…

I ordered a book through Barnes and Noble Marketplace and they were the seller. Never got the book. Had to call Barnes and Noble to figure this out. They were a nightmare too. don't order from them or Barnes and Noble marketplace!

The Worst!

The Worst! Cannot Contact or track. Books take forever. Barnes and Noble uses this company, so I blame them. Pathetic. Will never order from Barnes and Noble again because they transferred my order to this terrible company

books2anywhere

This booksellers also use the name "books2anywhere" when receiving orders through the alibris platform. The socalled customer service is at paperbackshop, so they are behind books2anywhere.
They shouldn't have stars at all, zero stars or even negative stars.
It is a totally untrustworthy company, deceitful or even fraudulent.
Have tried to orders books from them on three occasions using the alibris platform, but none of these books have ever arrived, although they had of course received the payment charging my creditcard. And the company had on all three occasions informed both alibris and me that the books had been sent. On the first occasion they eventually claimed that the shipment must have been lost, issued a refund, and asked me to order the book again. Which i then did.
And then again with the next two orders (including reordering the first book) the same story, they received the payment and messaged both alibris and me that the books had been sent. But again they did not arrive.
This time i then went for the throat and finally they admitted that the books had never been sent, although they had in all three instances in messages to both me and alibris claimed to have sent them. And of course they also only took any intiative at all to even refund me after being contacted long time after the orders was placed and the items originally claimed to have been sent.
When they eventually issued the refund they did not even cover all the costs that i had incurred, including the 5 % surcharges that my credit card company had placed for the currency exchange.
This simply a totally untrustworthy, deceitful company.

Awful, awful company!

I ordered a book with them on November 27th. Didn't receive an acknowledgement from them until I contacted Amazon and said I would like to know when to expect this book as it was a gift. That same day I got a notice that the book had shipped and would be delivered between December 13th and December 23rd. Now it is December 28th. The book still hasn't arrived and all they do is stall - asking me to confirm the delivery address. Really??? After all this time. This is a scam and definitely not a reputable company.

most frustrating and horrible online…

most frustrating and horrible online shopping experience we have ever had. Purchased on Dec. 8th, received shipping notification on Dec. 14th (6 days later!!!!!) with the notice that tracking will take an additional 2 days until it is available. With the shipping knowledge that we have, that means the package was labeled but had not even reached the shipping company by the 16th (10 days later). The expected delivery was 4 to 13 days. Once the tracking number was acknowledged in the OSM system, it simply said in transit, no additional information. Now on day13, the tracking number no longer works and they have stopped responding to our inquiries after their first response that simply said the package was 'dispatched on the 9th'. Have received no updated information to try and track this package which was over $100!!!!!!!

How do you track your order

How do you track your order? I click on the tracking number and it tries to make a phone call. It takes me to a screen thinking I've entered a phone number. I Google PBshop US tracking but get nothing. Is this a scam? Did I just loose my money?.

DO NOT USE THEM! SHADY DECEPTIVE!!

DO NOT USE THEM!! I have credit dispute going because they REFUSE to refund me even though I cancelled within the two business day requirement. They change arrival dates at their lesiure. They say the offer priority shipping, but then when you pay for it, they don't. That's called bait and switch which is ILLEGAL. They represent themselves as being in IL, but you don't find out until you contact them that they are in the UK. Misrepresentation, gee that's ground for a lawsuit too. DON'T USE THESE SHADY PEOPLE!!

We requested our order to be packed in …

We requested our order to be packed in a carton (not in a mailing envelope), since the book was for resale. A customer service rep by the name of Kelly e-mailed us and stated "We expect every care to be taken when your order is packaged. . . " The new book arrived bumped and creased because it was packed in an envelope. Terrible. We lost money on this order, thanks to Paperback (nobody cares) Shop.co.UK.

Cleary not based in the UK DO NOT USE

Terrible time with one book. Ordered NYE, despatched on the 2nd from their 'UK warehouse.' Said would be here on the 9th, still not here, taking way to long to get here from any UK warehouse even 2nd class, and now can't get hold of them to cancel the order and just go and get it elsewhere. Have spent hours on amazon web chat trying to get to the bottom of it and only when I google the seller do all these terrible review come up.

Dishonest

Why?
1. I paid extra for 1st class postage (rather than free postage) to guarantee quick delivery but took five working days. It was not posted 1st class.
2. The book was in poor condition (ok, this can happen) and to get a refund I was advised to return without any postage as 'return to sender': this is incorrect/f possibly fraudulent as this is only allowed by the Post Office for items that have been sent to an incorrect address i.e. not just because you don't want it.
3. I ignored the advice in 2 and paid postage to ensure item was returned. No acknowledgement and no refund from WoB.
