Do not use these thieves. They are really good at stealing your money and blaming it on you. I was charged multiple times for the same amount, same transaction. Was refunded 50% of the money, saying it was never received. After confirming with my bank and sending screenshots of the extra charge bread pay refused to fix the problem. They stole money from me and I’m pissed. I told them I’m going to give them bad reviews and report them as fraudulent to my bank. They didn’t care but was happy to take my money.

Buyer beware. These people are a bunch of crooks. They refuse to and withold refunds, whilst claiming they are entitled to a portion. That was never mentioned to us, nor agreed upon. Do better.

Got a loan for scheels, then realized it was the wrong item so I canceled before the item was even shipped and bread pay is trying to charge me $10 leftover from the loan. No one at bread or scheels can tell my why and I've been sent to collections for money I don't owe. Avoid this loan company.

They approved a fraudulent loan application. It was a 100% total scam. I reported this to my police department. The officer called them and asked “where are you based out of?” Even though the officer ID himself, he was told that “due to security, they could not give out that information.”???? Really?
I was called by a “Bread representative notifying me that a package was delivered to my address in error and will be picked up by UPS. I never touched the package. Yet this all happened on the same day. . This happened again with two more of the same behavior. A total of 3 packages delivered to within one week. I had no idea who sent them. What the item was until later. It was for 3 Nikon cameras. I’m a retired widow with no need for cameras, not even a gift. Then I find it was ordered by an unknown person using my ID to apply for a LOAN from Bread. Now I’m being charged. It’s destroying my credit. I learned and reported to Police,GOOGLE EARTH THE LOCATION of UPS return to label.
It was a business?industrial area in Miami Florida. The police officer suspects that it was a bogus person intercepting those 3 items. . I’ve blocked Bread Pay after they received my complaint and said they were investigating it. Nothing happened except they referred it to their bank to collect.
I’ve since called every credit card I had and requested new cards. I’m still in the process of reporting this to various credit bureaus etc. it’s Bread Oays fault for not verifying properly the loan application! They can refer this to the FBI.

Bread Pay refused to cancel a loan I had for merchandise that was never shipped to me. Even after sending Bread Pay proof from the retailer that the order was canceled and refunded back to Bread Pay, Bread Pay still refused to cancel my loan. Which by the way was pending for weeks waiting for the retailer to ship the merchandise. I had to report my issue to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and I was finally able to have my pending loan cancelled. Disappointed with how Bread Pay handled my situation. Never again, they lost a customer

Well woop woop we bought a house and are renovating it. Absolutely love Home Depot but hate that they started going through bread pay. It’s a ONE time use! YOU do NOT get a card. It was a pain in the butt to pay. AND here’s the kicker. We bought flooring the vendor canceled (by accident) so we needed to return the product we never received and buy it again. Well lookie here we used this stupid thing and had to APPLY AGAIN! For a new loan to buy it again although the original funds went back on the loan. When I called customer service I kept getting hung up on because when I got a new approval I had a new number and IT WAS NOT WORKING. Stayed at the store an additional 2 hours trying to figure out how to use this dang card. It does not “easily” go to your Apple wallet and or will not.
Absolute trash.

I was buying a cold plunge and sauna (large purchase). I noted I could get 24-months 0% interest through Bread Payments--figured why not. I never apply for credit cards or loans. I prequalified and was approved. I then when through the process of making my purchase and finalizing the application with Bread Pay. I uploaded my ID and that was confirmed. I then was REJECTED the application. I have a credit score in the 800's and a low DTI ratio. I called to ask why, they said I had to wait 24-hrs for an email explaination-- FINE.

Well it has now been over 48-hrs and no email. I called again and the rep told me that my phone number and & email are not associated with my name and it was an verification failure. I now have an email inquiry to Bread Pay. This entire company feels scammy and they have all of my personal information. I am NOT pleased.

BEWARE!!!! You will get approved for a loan. Then they will cancel your loan and refuse to refund your money! STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!

Don’t waist your time if you trying to apply with ITIN numer it says they take it but they ask for pic of your ID or passport and they dont take foreign passport so there no way u get approved if only have itin and a foreign passport

AVOID using this company at all costs!!! Their app/web-site is constantly glitching. And when you call their customers service they:
a) Barely speak any English.
b) Can't help.
c) Steal your data and you start to get like a hundred spam text/calls a day.
Maybe the glitching is part of the scam to steal your data.

This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They outsource to other countries! You can't understand them. Their website is nothing but a data breach! I would never use this company again! It un American!

They have your total shown, your APR, and interest that you would pay overtime with "no prepayment pentalty" yet when I complete my order all of the sudden there is an extra $400 "finance charge". What an absolute joke. I had no idea about this and I will never be using this company again.

I was preapproved for a purchase loan. They made me upload my driver's license, fill out all my personal info and made me personally call to once again prove who I was. Fine, but then I was declined for possible fraud. Again, I uploaded personal documents, filled out personal info, called them personally from the same phone I applied on. I have, well had an excellent credit score 844 (thanks BreadPay). I will never use this BS credit company and I would stay the hell away from them.

terrible horrible I need to learn always check reviews before getting into something , also check out the reviews on trust pilot for breadfinancial.com. I will also say I filed a complaint on BBB it's so bad. I have been hung up on 3 times by this bank just trying to make a dang payment, but they don't want me to make a payment because then they can keep charging me interest and late fees. Okay here's the story.....

Just opened a AAA Travel Advantage Visa Signature Credit card 02/2025 which is through Comenity Bank on the Bread Financial App (First red flag) 1st Payment was due 03/16/2025 Tried adding my Ally Checking and Savings account multiples times the week prior with an error message saying “it’s us not you” as i will try to attach here. Once I realized It wasn’t going to be fixed I had to transfer he funds to another account which takes 3-5 business days in order to make my payment on an account that seemed to let me add it. Because of this, I accrued interest, late payment fee, and a check bounce fee since the payment didn’t transfer fast enough and I was getting anxious about the payment not being accepted through Comenity. I reached out to customer support to help me find some resolve to the situation and they told me there was nothing they could do, I politely asked to speak to a manager because I have never had an issue with a credit card company where it says it’s their fault but there is nothing they could do, so they “transferred” me but I just got hung up on. They also say I can’t use my card anymore until it is paid off to 0$ and untouched for 3 months. I tried to make a payment again on 03/30/2025 on the account it appeared I could use through Comenitys system but even with 3x the amount needed in my account it still says it bounced my payment and I have a message through their portal to check with my bank when it has had enough funds for 2 weeks since I made the initial transfer for the first payment.

EDIT: Since I have made this statement I am still getting extra late fees (IN THE SAME MONTH) the app won't accept any form of payment without erroneous fees and penalties. Once I can get this cleared I will never use this bank, or app again!

Hallman Industries closed and it seems that I will not be getting my order. I’m almost done paying my loan. I called Breadpay to tell them the situation with Hallman Industries. I explained them everything and that Hallman are not responding to emails nor calls. They opened a ticket for me and I sent them all the evidence to them that they requested. Their customer service is horrible and they did not resolved my problem after I told them I wanted to cancel my loan. Now, I have to wait 6-12 months for Hallman to refund the money to Bread pay in order for them to get my money back. Hallman is closed they have ditched their customers and possibly stole all this money. If any one has more info on a class A lawsuit for Hallman Industries please post here…

Bread partnered with Hallman Industries. I purchased an oven for $2500 on 12/25/2024. The company went out of business 2 months later and I never received the oven. I contacted the merchant several times with no response. Bread keeps transferring me to a call center in India with no customer support. Bread said that I still have to make my monthly payment of $204 and that I need to call the merchant. The merchant no longer exists. I am now on my 3rd payment for a product that I will never receive. Bread said that they do not have fraud protection like very other credit company in the world.

I will never ever try this again and will warn everyone I know that may use it. First of all the lady that answered the phone was real sick could barely talk and she kept COUGHING AND HACKING IN MY EAR!!!! Rude and nasty!!! I should have just hung up. I didn’t get approved anyway because I had “fraudulent activity” WTF. What a LOW CLASS company.

Pocketed my 64.00 only gave me 78.00 and Wayfair refunded there entire money and I got scammed I will never deal with bread pay
