My experience with this company has been terrible. The information on their website is inaccurate, the product took far too long to arrive, and when it finally arrived, they sent the wrong item. Worst of all, they have not responded to my requests for an exchange or refund. Very disappointing and unprofessional. I do not recommend this company.

NOWHERE on the bottle, or the box or on any included instructions does it say to apply shampoo on dry hair. I wasted a lot of this expensive product.
If you are to create lather on your hands,HOW do you go about applying the palms of your hands to the roots?
I want a refund or a replacement to see if this product works.
It is difficult to pump straight into your hand as it seeps down an unnecessary edge.

I really wanted to like this product, but unfortunately it did not work for my hair. The color simply did not deposit as expected, so I was left with essentially no noticeable color change. The product also arrived leaking.

To be fair, the customer service representatives I dealt with were always pleasant and polite. However, actually getting the refund that their website advertises was an entirely different story. What should have been a simple return and refund turned into a long back-and-forth saga. I repeatedly explained the issue, provided the requested information and even sent a video, yet instead of simply processing the refund, I was continually told that the issue was being reviewed or forwarded to another team.

The experience left me feeling like the process was being dragged out in the hopes that the 30-day refund window would expire. Eventually, after multiple follow-ups, they did proceed with the refund.

My biggest takeaway is that if you purchase this product and it doesn’t work for your hair, be prepared to put in considerably more effort than their advertised refund policy would lead you to believe. Pleasant customer service is appreciated, but a straightforward refund should actually be straightforward.

The product may work well for some people, but unfortunately it didn’t work for me, and the refund experience was far more difficult than it needed to be.

I just Spencer bottle did not work correctly. In other words the color wouldn't come out I tried to clear it but it didn't work. I did accelerate hair to fall out after coloring.

This shampoo may deposit some color, but I am very disappointed with it. I ordered dark brown, and I don’t even consider the coverage medium brown. Don’t waste your money! There is not an option to add photos, or I would do that.

This is one of the best products I have tried in a long time. It was like a 15 minute miracle that not only looked good but smelled good and didn’t stain my clothes or sheets. I am so pleased that I took a chance on this.

Only the clear gel pumps out!! Once or twice I've gotten any color out! Yes twisted the top left 2 or 3 times. Very disappointed after such expense

As soon as I put this on my head, it started to burn my skin so I immediately shampooed it out with cool water. The company sent me an email to see how I liked it and I told them what happened. They said I would get a refund but then I got another email saying before they could refund me, which I NEVER asked for, said they need a picture to verify. How insulting! I told them it’s been a week since I used it and if they think I’m trying to fraud their company, shame on them and that I’d just be making an honest to gawd review. Beware.

I just tracked my order from Pearwood and can see its shipping from Hong Kong. I try very hard to avoid products made in China. Especially ones consumed or absorbed. I should have done a deeper dive into this product but got swept up by the advertisement. I feel foolish and duped.

The shampoo was easy to use and the packaging was unique. My hair color turned out nicely revived. My only negative is the scent is not the most delightful. I did use my favorite conditioner after the 15 minutes to mask the shampoo smell. Overall I would say I am pleased.

The reason the product takes so long to receive is because it ships from Hong Kong, unlike their website says it ships from Lawrence, MA. Don't like when a company lies on their site!

I am so impressed with this product! And have used it twice so far. Easy and quick… color has blended nicely to cover the grey...no offensive smell. Will absolutely buy again. (I will say that after first use I use gloves now. The product doesn’t stain my hands but it does darken any dry cuticles around my nails and makes my fingers look kind of dirty.)

Great shampoo. The product took almost 4 weeks to arrive.

Chloe was very quick to respond to my questions and to remedy a wrong order.

Your service has been great I am in love with the product. My hair is a bit longer than shoulder length and my natural color is dirty blond. I have been getting it highlighted for a few years and the grow out looks horrid. The highlights go brassy and the grow-in is a mousy, dull dark blond with a touch of grey. Back to the salon.....3 hours later and $350 less (without a haircut)....my hair looks great but I have endured the highlight-foil process, a base color, and a toner. The Pearwood blended all of the brassy highlights and the mousy brown in a fraction of the time and cost. I am so glad I found it.

My bottle of shampoo unfortunately leaked during shipment. Sent an e-mail and Chloe responded immediately and sent a new bottle for replacement. Appreciate the quick and nice response to make sure the client is happy. Thank you!

Also, cool packaging!

I was disappointed with the PearWood hair color product. It claims to cover gray hair in minutes, I left product in my hair for 20 minutes, but it did not provide adequate coverage for me. I have light gray areas.

I also, found the dispenser frustrating. It seems to release much more of the shampoo product than the actual tint, which made the mixture feel unbalanced and may have affected the results.

Overall, the product did not perform as advertised.

It's been 3 weeks since I placed my order and got an email confimation. It has not arrived, and I don't know if it's even been shipped. Two emails to their customer service support address have gone unanswered. I am not impressed.

First - definitely wear gloves - my nail beds and cuticles are stained even after using nail brush and cuticle stick. I needed 20 pumps to saturate my roots and that wasn’t enough to saturate the rest of my hair (my hair is just below my collarbone and average thickness). I applied on clean dry hair, massaged into the roots and left it on 25 minutes. After rinsing until water was clear my hair felt rough so used my regular conditioner and rinsed again after one minute. After unwrapping my hair from my towel, the towel was stained brown. My gray hair is still very visible although slightly less bright. Not the solution I was hoping for.

I want to warn people that there is a very toxic ingredient in this product called Toluene 2,5 Diamine Sulfate. While Pearwood denies it is toxic, EWG.org rates it to be an 8/10 toxicity. Think about the fact that you need to keep this product on your hair for 15 minutes allowing its ingredients to soak into your scalp. I’m returning the sealed bottle to Pearwood.
