Absolute GARBAGE APP!!!!

Trying to verify my license and the app camera won't adjust the zoom so I can't get a clear picture to upload.
Absolute trash app.

I wish we weren’t forced to use this. Idky all these apps are deciding to have people connect to their banks through plaid. If im not mistaken, I started to notice it by 2019/20. There was legit a time where you were able to connect your bank manually with certain things, and they verified your account by doing a little cent check. Now these apps have made it mandatory you’re connecting through plaid, I don’t want to use them!!! My cu clearly doesn’t trust them, &/are very firm on their member’s security. Plaid was at a time only using mega banks to connect with, then just recently (i presume) they’ve updated for more banks and credit unions because I’ve finally been able to connect my CU after at least 3yrs of not being able to. HOWEVER, my cu made changes and decided to disconnect from plaid again, and honestly i have no problem with that, I’m not happy about being forced to using plaid anyway. These investment apps and etc need to go back to letting you connect your banking info manually. I haven’t had issues when I was able to do that. They don’t even allow any other options other than connecting through plaid and it’s very frustrating.

If any online banks are using this service, please stop using because they are scammers. Once i tried to go through verification process with a reputable bank, they accessed my bank with credentials and tried to empty my bank account. This is the biggest scam and FRAUD! If you see this name PLAID while setting up your online banking, RUN!!!!!!!!!!

The company literally pulls you through all of the steps warning you the information they give to the other financial institutions can be used for whatever reason they want to and they are not responsible… After you hit submit. They will share that information then access deny you. WTH.

I was trying to do something with my bank. And it wouldn't work. As said by many other reviews. I wish i could not have to right this. I hope they drop whomever or whatever their using for bank stuff. Couldn't find my bank or something like that.

Freshbooks uses Plaid for my account. It has been down for six weeks, with multiple unresolved tickets. Complete garbage.

This company is really getting on my nerves and I've never spoken to anybody. I've been attepting to use them, since it's required for fiannacial verification. Their system keeps telling me I'm inputing the wrong information, despite me knowing full well, it's correct. The institutions that use this company keep up with the "problem is on your end, not ours attitude". There's no way to clear your information. I was just on their website and it's nothing but screen refresh and pop-ups, stopping you from what you're trying to do. This is utter nonsense and garbage

For the last 3 years I've been trying to claim my royalties from SongTradr who make me repeat the same Plaid verification process every quarter which inevitably fails but each time I notice they squeeze more and more info out of me which is concerning. they made me take a selfie then do different facial expressions...

This review really belongs to IdentityGuard which insists I put all my info into Plaid in order to get them to monitor my account. There is not even an option for me to put in my data myself. I am glad I came here because I have not done anything yet with them. Was thinking I could just use them and dispense with IdentityGuard. Going to ditch them both. Thanks to the other reviewers!

Dangerous and Invasive

My college-age son's landlord wants everyone to use Plaid to pay for rent. I have multiple issues with using Plaid. First they want your login credentials (username and password) for your bank which will give them total access to your account. If Plaid ever gets hacked you have the potential to lose everything in your account. Second, if you accept their terms and conditions you grant them the right to all of the information related to your account: balances, loans, payments to other parties, etc. Plaid is a total invasion of privacy and dangerous to your bank account's security. I will never use Plaid.

If you still have to put in account and routing number, how is it superior to an ACH transaction? Just another scam.

Practically never works, almost never accepts my bank which is a pretty well known bank. They just suck, i don’t know why everyone started using them

This service is a complete piece of trash that never works. Basically you give them thier data for convenience of linking your bank account but it NEVER works. Another trash tech company.

Impossible to link your bank account to almost any crypto exchange. I don't know what Plaid is selling to crypto exchanges but this app is complete garbage. The help desk for Plaid is terrible because they will put the fault on the exchange for not being able to properly implement their solution which is trash

Sleezy company -- way too much personal data.
I tried using them to verify a bank account, it didn't work, but yet I'd given them a pile of very sensitive information. I tried to get in touch with them to have them remove my data (Which they say they'll do, and which California Privacy act requires them to do...)... But it's impossible to get anybody on the phone. The agents over email wanted to collect MORE personal information to "find my record". I gave them my email, phone number, and name - that should be plenty. I find it very sleezy that they're trying to collect even more sensitive data. I will never ever try using plaid again. For future readers - you can almost always skip past the plaid option, and enter your ACH details the old fashioned way with a routing number and account number. It takes a few more days, but that's worthwhile to me.

Has anyone experienced check fraud on their bank account after setting up with PLAID?

finnicky app, pretty explanatory

Absolutely the worst. Anytime I’ve tried to use it to log in with my bank info it says it’s wrong. But I know it’s right.

T. ROWE PRICE will only let you transfer $$ to your bank using Plaid. Worst piece of software I have ever attempted to use. It fails EVERY time I initiate a transfer. I don't understand how this software can survive when there are plenty of apps that can accomplish this easily. And T. Rowe Price gives you no option to use anything else!

Soon as I connect my bank account to PLAID by loging in using my username and password to connect the third party which is PLAID with my bank account" easily" I'm unable to access my email address already and it always says error everytime i login. Unable to complete also my financial info input to the marketplace it just closed without me doing it.
