THIEVES!

THIEVES!! I got a secured credit card with them to help be build credit since I am a newcomer in Canada. I quickly found out they don't report positive behavior to the credit bureaus, but do report bad behavior if it occurs. So completely useless!!
I decided to close my account with them 3 months ago and have not received my security deposit back!
THIEVES!!!

Fb group “plastk stole from me”

I STARTED A FACEBOOK GROUP called
“Plastk stole from me” let’s share our stories folks. We’ve all been scammed.

RCMP ANTI FRAUD PHONE NUMBER IS 1888 495 8501. I’ve reported them to BBB And wanting to start a class action lawsuit.

There’s thousands of us that all had money stolen by plastk, same scam, same lies. Canadians being ripped off by the hundreds of thousands every day. We need to shut them down immediately.
I never received a card. Cancelled my account and had to wait 60 days for my $500 security deposit. It’s been over 60 days and the same old “we’re looking into it, escalating and contacting departments and managers to resolve the issue. Same story as everyone else. Even in the review responses, plastk “customer service” says the exact same things but still do nothing. Plastk are thieves. They steal money and use that money to pay customer service workers to blurt out lies and keep customers from getting their money. Even after this review, they’ll respond with the same lies they tell me in email. Can’t talk to an actual person on the phone either. More lies. Backlogs, issues with their card distributors, issues with their banking platforms, and personally looking into the matter for me.

Which, are all lies. They’re paid to say this, that’s their job. To lie and hope people stop trying to get their money all together.

DO NOT TRUST PLASTK. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.

Update January 25th - plastk customer service is still lying. People are still
Waiting since august last year for their security deposit refund. That’s going on 7 months.

Plastk is broke. The Vancouver Canucks dropped them, credit karma dropped them and they’ve deleted their social media’s. One remains but over 40 is us got blocked for telling new victims the truth about plastk.

This company is broke, it’s why they can’t even send your own security deposit back.

They’re a disgusting company. Thieves, scammers and liars.

Wont refund security depost

Been almost 4 months since closing my account and should have recieved my deposit back after 60 days of closing. they are a scam company. putting a consumer complaint in through alberta. and possibly taking them to small claims court since they dont bother to help give the same response everytime.

this company doesn't even deserve to…

this company doesn't even deserve to get one star. The customer service is garbage and they don't do anything for you. I closed my account and was told I would get my deposit back in 60 day's. 5 months later and they didn't send the full amount either. they are full of BS. People are better off going to Capital one

I signed up for this card with the…

I signed up for this card with the understanding and promise they would help with credit building. In the last six months nothing has been documented and they will not close my account and refund me "MY $534.69". No one seems to want ot assist and they continue to give the same response. This is unacceptable and I hope noone else gets scammed like this in the future. Presently I am posting on all social media and with national TV news channels to get assistance.

Scam company

It's been more than 2 months and I'm getting no response from these people on getting my 700 dollars in secured funds back. They are also not accepting my payments and charging me 35 dollar late fees on their monthly fee because of this. The app is broken so it's not possible to use. This is a giant scam. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

This is the worse company I've ever…

This is the worse company I've ever dealt with, And I'm a former Consumer fraud agent for A unnamed Mastercard company. I closed my account and paid in full, and for the past two months have been giving the same story saying "they are backlogged" or "it's been escalated," and refusing many direct requests for managers, even having agents end the chat with me. Why chat? You say that because they don't have a contact center, you can call and speak with a human. Point and case, if you deal with them, kiss your hard-earned money goodbye.

FRAUD

I signed up almost 4 months ago. I gave them a $500 security deposit, and waited weeks for a card to arrive. After endless excuses from them I asked to cancel my account and get my money back. I was told I had to wait a 60 day period to receive my refund. It has been 65 days now, and support says they have to get in touch with the manager. Do not get involved with this company!! Seems like some sort of Ponzi scheme, I’m not sure why Visa let’s this fly, it’s a form of credit card fraud.

All these five star reviews on Google…suspicious!

All these five star reviews on Google seem very suspicious. I have submitted an application in November and sent the deposit the same day. Sill no card. Lots of excuse about the card printing issues or whatever.

If you cannot promise an actual time of when the card is coming or proof that it's actually coming, give us our money back!

I would like my money returned or I am going to the cops and reporting you guys. Also will be submitting this story to the news outlets as so many reviews in trust pilot and Google from real people experiencing VERY VERY disappointing customer service. Even the Canucks is now nowhere to be seen as a "partner" on your website. That says a lot.

You guys suck and are taking advantage of people just trying to build their credit. Jeez.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever, gave them $1500 and no card. Same BS excuses. Also recently just discovered the CEO of this company had a previous Auto Dealership and scammed people out of cars and never gave the money to the owners of the used cars.

Worst company in Canada

Can’t believe the Canucks are partnered with them and websites can legally suggest them. If anyone wants to help get these scam Fog Duckers out of business. Contact the BBB, and report their company there. I like most have been waiting months for my card. And their immigrant phone “support” staff seem to be laughing at you when you tell them you want your hard earned money back with a fee of course.

I wish I could give zero stars

I wish I could give zero stars. I gave them my money in October and it is almost Christmas still with no credit card. They won’t give me my money back and just keep telling me next week. Absolutely horrible that they do this to people and their money. They robbed me close to Christmas disgusting. When I call in now they just hang up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I have filed complaints with BBB no response. Now am trying to find other government ways of getting my money.

This company is a scam

*Update: After filling Complaint no. 18620782 with the Better Business Bureau, they finally refunded my initial prepaid deposit of only $300 after 5 months. Their awful response was not different from their emails. Stay away.
"MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:

We're sorry to know that your refund has been delayed this much. We have since confirmed that the account is closed and the refund has been processed accordingly. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Thanks."

Original complaint:
Account closed Sep 6th. Dec 20th, initial deposit of the prepaid card ($300) never returned.
This company is a scam. I never had an experience with a scam company in my life prior to Plastk. I wanted to improve my credit score and after many months I decided to cancel it. They asked me to wait 60 days. It has been 80 days and they never returned my money. In all their emails they say it is going to be refunded but nothing happens. I am going to seek legal action against them.

This company is a SCAM!! DO NOT SEND THEM $$

Plastk took $500 of my hard-earned money on Sep 30 and never issued me a card. I followed up 6 different times with their "customer service" people via email with no resolution or card issued. Essentially they stole my money and have not/will not issue me a refund. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

UPDATE: It is now February 15, 2023 and I have still not received the refund I requested December 13, 2022.

Do not recommend

So frusterating! I closed my account in October 7 2022, Not one agent will tell me any process times. I asked on December 9th when my funds will be returned. I was told they will send an email but refused to tell me a date on when id get my money back. it has now been 10 weeks, The say the dont start the process the refund for 2 months! Terrbile service on chats. I will say they at least tell you they cant tell you anything. LOL.

Plastk works for me! No serious issues!

I'm a Plastk card holder and have been for some time. They are a newer company so still some issues to work out I think. At 1st when I got my card their credit bureau reporting wasn't in place. It has since been resolved and I now benefit from the credit bureau reporting. From my perspective the only issue that I have at present is the verified by Visa when buying online doesn't work and the card gets declined and some purchases just don't work and the card gets declined regardless of the available credit balance. I have backup card for those occasions so overall I've had a good experience with Plastk.

Do not trust this company

I made payment for a Plastk secured card on July 28th. A month later, I contacted them to see where my card was as I hadn’t received it. I was told that it hadn’t even been processed. I then requested my money back and no longer wanted to proceed with getting a card.

On august 29th I was told that they would close the account (which I never got a card for) and send me a refund after 60 days. I had to wait for an account that never got opened!

60 days from that time was October 28th and I STILL have not received my money back! It is now December 7th and it has been 100 days!
