Took a long time to be processed emails…
Took a long time to be processed emails backwards and forwards took over a week to get funds transferred even though everything was in place. But I suppose it’s essential really to make sure affordability

I have one bank account
I have one bank account - my credit report confirms this.
Obviously, Direct Debits can only be linked to one bank account. My partner has 90% of our household Direct Debits leaving her bank account
I send a monthly payment, same day each month to my partner, to cover my half.
I would suggest this is a 'standard' arrangement.
This 'standard arrangement' destroys Plends entire business model as their tech/algorithm cannot compute.
Instead, their automated process demands you link your 'other' accounts.....which they already have confirmed do not exist.
Quite unbelievable that the entire foundation that the business has been built upon is so 'fragile'

We acknowledge that it may be disappointing if we cannot assess your application, however - our policies require that there is sufficient financial data from any applicant's direct account to meet our criteria, for us to be able to complete a full, safe and accurate assessment.
The reason that this may differ to other lenders, is that we do not assess with the same methods as many traditional or "standard" lenders. We use Open Banking to be able to underwrite applications without the sole use of credit-scoring data, as we believe this can often be outdated and incorrect.
Our business model and foundation of our company is built upon this principle.
As a result of this, as a responsible lender and under FCA regulation, we need to ensure that we can see enough data to fulfil our criteria for assessment in order to be able to review responsibly.
