New cctv installation
This is the first time I have used Prime Security Installations Ltd after being recommended to me. And I must say I have been really impressed by the service from the engineer who installed the product to all the staff I have spoken to on the phone, every one was knowledgeable and ever so polite unlike some companies I have used in the past.
I am in early stages of vascular dementia but coping very well at the moment and after trying to acquaint myself with the recorder and the settings unfortunately came across a problem neither myself or my wife could sort out I contacted the company explained the problem and nothing was to much trouble for them .
They are sending out an engineer out to rectify the problem which I was expecting to try and sort out over the phone. As far as I am concerned I would most highly recommend this company by far the best I have used.

Maintenance contract
I called to get details of the maintenance packages available for my CCTV system.
Dan explained clearly and thoroughly the options available and set-up my direct debit within a few minutes.

Got security system installed there is a huge difference between when you go for sales quotes to after service.
Had issues with cameras within warranty period and spoken to engineer Darragh twice and he confirmed that as he tried to help remotely and it didn’t work there would be £85 labour charges and all parts will be covered as under warranty.
I tried to call and spoke to receptionist and extremely poor service, I asked to book an appointment first with engineer for inspection at property and she said I have to speak to an engineer and when enquirer why can’t she just simply book an appointment as I have already spoken to engineer and she said no I can’t book the appointment and I have to speak to engineer again pointless and exercise as the beginner already told me that if remote support doesn’t work then call and book appointment.
Spoken r engineer again and he confirmed again £85 charge and nothing else as in warranty for all parts.
This information was also confirmed on 12/12/2024 by another person when I spoke to someone else.
Now the receptionist very poor manner I had to say, she said appointment is booked but the charge is £85 an hour which is extortion for a product in warranty.
She was adamant and when I said let me speak to engineer as I have confirmed with him no other hidden charges and have been confirmed before by other.
She said I AM THE RECEPTIONIST AND I KNOW THE CHARGES I WONT JUST PUT YOU THROUGH ENGINEER, I HAVE BEEN GIVEN WRONG INFORMATION 3 times and what she is saying is correct.
Asked to log a compliant and her response was you can but that is the charge and I can’t promise that you get a call back at your preferred callback time as he is the manager so manager will call when they want.
Extremely poor service, I would not use them again, when they want us to install the cameras they were nice and said everything be covered, you are going for top of the range cameras and they last forever, we support you even if you want to move all these cameras to new house, if you move for £300.
For full installation £300 and for repair in warranty £85 an hour and that too when you agreed with me no other hidden charges, good job I kept asking charges on every call or I would have been charged ridiculous amount.
Cancelled the appointment and take the business elsewhere lots of better and cheaper options out there.
Company owner did tried to contact to resolve the situation and also agreed as a one off to pay £85 charge for fixing the problem rather than hourly rate and on a condition that if wiring is the issue then I will I’ll have to pay.
Waited for the appointment entire evening and then called the office to checking if the engineer is still coming and they said, yes we come till 18:00 evening and then got a call from the engineer who said he can’t attend because he has another job before me and he will be late.
I am not bothered anymore, will get a local engineer to fix. Had a real poor experience.

CCTV
We have had our CCTV through Prime Security since 2017. I reported a fault with it and within 24hrs I had a call back to fix it. Dylan was extremally helpful and solved the problem in less than 15 mins.
I would recommend Prime Security.

Used Prime security few years back for cctv camera installation at home. Their prices were cheaper and gave a good professional service...after appx 5 years my cameras stopped working...called them...they promptly arranged an engineers call...Darragh took me through the settings on a new app and my cameras are working again...very pleased with their professionalism and quick response and courtesy...will definitely recommend them to anyone needing cctv and will use their services again.

I couldn’t access camera view on 4g
I couldn’t access camera view on 4g, only on home wifi, so phoned for Tech support. The first time they rang, I had to go out, so Dylan said he would phone the next day, and true to his word, he did. He was so lovely - endlessly patient, but after an hour, he was unable to resolve the issue, and as he had another appointment said he would ring the following day, which he did. Issue resolved this time, and it was really pleasant to deal with someone who was so clear in his instructions, as many technicians assume a level of computer speak far above what an elderly person understands! Excellent service, thank you.
Would recommend Prime Installations
Used Prime Installations to repair, service and add a camera to my CCTV system. Resolved all issues, serviced system - everything up and running again. Day after, experienced a minor issue (could only be seen during hours of darkness) - great aftersales service - technical team telephoned to see if the problem could be fixed over phone - needed visit to adjust camera angle - return booked. Very happy with this excellent service.

Dylan talked me through on the phone how to sort this problem. He was very patient and explained everything very clearly. He also made sure that everything was working properly again.
