Delay with Evri loosing parcel, Pro Plates replaced and sent them to us. Eventually it was sorted, would be nice if they had responded earlier but ultimately we got our parcel. Thanks for sorting.

Very good during the pandemic

Very good website especially during the pandemic when you can’t seem to buy weights anywhere they were honest in saying it would take 3-4 weeks due to the pandemic which it did only shame is that the plates did come a bit scratched but obviously as it was the bear metal option I can’t really expect it to be completely smooth. Highly recommend

I could not be happier with proplates

I could not be happier with proplates! Firstly a big well done for not ripping off the nation when the pandemic hit! Just amazing but what’s even better then the price! The service and quality of the equipment! I emails keeping me updated periodically I got care advice on my equipment, I got a personal email from the MD when I was clearly in the wrong misreading an email but even then the fact she had taken the time to email and was ever so nice about it just made me love them even more! If you aren’t a customer and are waiting to make a decision trust me dotn wait too long for these handmade gems and don’t be tight pay for the powder coat they look amazing

Collected my order within 2 weeks of placing my order wasn’t sure on my colour choice so Lauren advised me over the phone abs was really helpful. after ordering I was contacted with the nearest available collection slot, when I arrived my order was all ready and the friendly team helped me load all the items into my car very happy and will recommend

Great product and company, would recommend to anyone.

Recently purchased the powder coated standard 5ft bar for some 1” hole weights I already had. No issues and great product.

I then decided to purchase an additional 77.5kg premium weights and plate tree. Delivery took 4 weeks which was to be expected as stated on the website. Unfortunately there was some miscommunication with the delivery which was delayed by a week after receiving an email stated that my order was on its way. This is my only complaint as I had booked a day off from work when the order wasn’t even with the delivery provider.

Aside from that, I would absolutely recommend this company, excellent products for a fair price.

Extremely happy customer!

Best Customer Service! Due to demands for plates it was delivered in just over 2 weeks they kept me updated throughout! Well worth the price , couldn’t be more happier with them! Great quality , Great customer service will definitely be a returning customer!

Wouldn’t go anywhere else for plates…

Wouldn’t go anywhere else for plates now, have read some bad reviews on here regarding delivery times which are a little unfair given the current pandemic and demand for their products. I literally cannot fault Pro Plates and their team.
Product quality: Excellent
Delivery time: Longer than I would have liked of course but that’s completely out of their hands and should be expected when every one is wanting gym equipment...yesterday!
Customer service: Excellent
Will definitely be purchasing from Pro Plates in the very near future. Thanks guys and gals!

Great product, Great prices & great customer service!

I ordered a squat rack and adjustable dumbell set in December and it arrived late January. The prices are great, the quality is great and the website is very clear about the lead time on the equipment and delivery times.

The quality of the squat rack is superb. Its surpassed my expectations. It even arrives partly assembled so all you have to do is undo a handful of the bolts, slot it together and then tighten the bolts back up. Took me about 20 minutes to put it all together and tighten everything up.

I sent a couple of emails through to ask questions and despite getting an email to advise on how busy they were I got a response quickly each time. Lauren, the customer service rep who responded to me was professional but personable and always answered my questions.

If you're looking for well priced, great quality gym equipment I cannot recommend the ladies & gents at Pro Plates enough!

Great price, great communication & amazing product!

We happened upon Pro plates whilst searching for gym equipment online & was sceptical because the price was so reasonable and the product looked so impressive. We risked it and ordered an Olympic bar & 110kg in plates, received an email within a few minutes of our order informing us we'd receive a date for collection, which we did.
The collection was obviously well thought out and completely Covid safe.
Within a fortnight we had our stuff & I'm so chuffed!
Seriously, in these times of being cooped up in the house Proplates has breathed new life into lockdown!
Thanks & we'll see you next when we collect our next lot of plates!

Poor communication Excellent product

EDIT: The ONLY thing that let's Proplates down is the lack of communication, the equipment that I have received so far is top quality. My delivery came without the pulley system which I have now found out isn't being launched till March 1st and I can expect mine at some point after that date. If that had been communicated to me before delivery I'd have had no issue but to think you are getting a full delivery and some be missing when you open it is so disappointing. I can't stress enough though the equipment is very good. Will update the review accordingly once I have received the full order.

I really didn't want to leave a bad review of Proplates because I understand how hard running a small business can be especially when your as busy as what Proplates must be right now.

With that being said, I just feel like I'm getting nowhere with them at the moment. I placed an order with them in their black Friday sale and they made it more then clear that orders made in that sale would be dealt with in January. I messaged them on 5th January regarding my order and was told that my order would be fulfilled in January and I'd get an email once dispatched.
So I left it at that until 27th Jan, knowing that my order must be close to being sorted I asked for an update and I was told that my package was due to be dispatched on 3rd Feb.
That date came and went and I was slightly annoyed because I am obviously really looking forward to the new addition to my gym, but I also appreciate the difficulties that a small business can face so I was willing to wait for my shipping email till the end of that week.
4th Feb I got an email from Proplates to say they had some issues in their manufacturing process and to allow an additional 4-8 days for orders.
I then sent another message on 8th Feb to ask if they could give me any update on my order again. I got a reply back to say because of the recent delays my order would now be shipped on the 10th with priority.
Once again the 10th has been and gone so once again I was left annoyed but again I was happy to wait till the end of the week before messaging them for an update on my order again
So after again having no sign of a shipping email I sent an Instagram message this morning. I asked for an update on my order and explained I had an initial shipping date, then I received an email explaining the manufacturing problems, then I explained I was given an updated shipping date and I was sent back a generic reply to say they have had delays and I should have recieved an email last week (clearly showing that whoever replied to my message hasn't even done me the courtesy of reading the message I sent) and telling me I now had to email them to get an update.

I have spent over £1500 on this order which is now two weeks late (from the original promise when ordered that it would be fulfilled in January) and I still can't get any indication off them to give me any idea of when I will get my order.

Whilst we are a new company, we are dealing with thousands of customer orders as well as manufacturing products for our wholesale distributors. We have - and still are - expanding our workforce. Our warehouse/machines operate 24/7 to keep up with this relentless demand for our product. Whilst we are working tirelessly, delays do happen and can change our scheduled shipments which we always inform customers of and apologise for any inconvenience caused by this - we are doing all we can to meet the demands at this difficult time.

The delay email you have received was sent as an email campaign to inform all of our customers about this delay which has unfortunately had a knock on effect to your order. This message did not mention that the customer must message us for an update, but it rather welcomed them to get in touch with us if they had any concerns. This also advised that you will receive an update with shipping/tracking information once your order has been fulfilled and on its way to you. Whilst we can give an expected shipment date, we cannot promise this due to the uncertainty of this - any obstacle could arise which would delay this again - this is why we advise all customers that they will receive a shipping confirmation email once this has been booked onto the wagon and on its way to you.

As you did order on Black Friday, this was advised that orders would be processed in January. However, as you have ordered our power cage package complete with powder coating, this means you should allow the lead time advised for powder coated orders of this kind which is a minimum of 25 working days (Monday-Friday only). The power cage package is in high demands and it is advised to allow for a longer lead time as this product is manufactured to fulfil orders rather than there being a stock pile.

Whilst we understand the frustration here caused by this delay, - and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused, please be reassured we are doing all we can to fulfil your order as soon as possible whilst combatting unexpected machinery faults combined with unexpected levels of absences amongst our staff due to COVID.

I can see your order is rescheduled and expected to be shipped early next week. However, if you do not wish to wait any longer, please let us know and we can cancel this order and provide a full refund.
