Best online plant sales by some way and reasonable prices

The plants arrived quickly , very healty and very well pack , will order from them again. Only tiny issue 2 of the plants were not labelled and as they are Agapanthus they look the same , so who knows.

I was so pleased to find Proctors nursery and made a number of purchases that arrived in tip top condition. However my last order arrived in a very damaged condition. Proctors arranged a duplicate order/delivery. This arrived in a totally smashed condition. I contacted Proctors twice and sent photos. I have not had any response and am feeling totally let down and out of pocket. Customer care zero.

Plants were shipped on 22nd May - over £100 worth. As of 2nd June, they have not arrived. I have phoned and emailed twice to make enquiries as to where they are, with no response. I can only assume that Proctors Nursery simply doesn’t care about its customers. I guess I’ll now have to raise a complaint with them and dispute with my credit card company - what a hassle. Avoid.

Bought some plants from here before. Go back to buy again and their website has saved the last four digits on my credit card. Not happy.

Received my first ever order from Proctors about 2 weeks ago. 2 of the 3 plants were fine, but one distinctly scruffy and more dead than alive. 21 plants were available according to the website and I think I got the worst one. I have emailed once and called twice but so far no response. I will not order from them again.

Proctors are by far superior to all the other nurseries that sell plants online. The packaging is great, the postage is quick, the plants are a cut above what all of the other nurseries have to offer. I've had multiple plants from proctors. I don't think will bother with anyone other than proctors in the future. Their plants are healthy and thrive upon planting.

Great range of plants and exceptional service. I ordered 7 actaea on Thursday morning and they were delivered on Friday lunchtime! The roots were quite compacted in the pots, but teased them out and added a little mychorrizal and I'm sure they'll be just fine. A week after planting now, and they're looking very happy out in the bed.

Ordered three delphiniums. Three big plants arrived. Fantastic condition. Expect flowers this year. Good value for money.

I am extremely disappointed with Proctors Nursery.
I purchased 3 skimmer japonica finchy plants from Proctors nursery at the end of March 2025. Days previously I purchased several identical plants from a local nursery but found i needed 3 more which I could not source locally and so bought them online from Proctors.
All plants co-habited in the same bed. Whilst the locally sourced plants continue to thrive the 3 plants from Proctors have died and I expressed disappointment and sent pictures to Proctors.
The leaves of the plants were very yellow and the root system was crumbly and very small on examination. I did repot them in the hope that they might recover. I am an experienced gardeners and kept them well watered in the drought.
Proctors accepted the plants were of an unacceptable quality and refunded the cost of the plants. What they refuse to do is refund the postage which although just £7.95. As a matter of principle I cannot fathom why they insist on charging me postage for worthless product? I will not be using this nursery again and warn others.

My plants arrived completely scattered within the box.
I retrieved them from underneath the compost and repotted. In my judgement, from a lifetime of gardening, the plants are of poor quality . I found the response to my complaint, casual and unhelpful.

I was looking for particular plants to add to my garden this November. Based on high rating plus they are more or less local I’ve decided to order from this nursery.
The plants were carefully packed, they are healthy with good established roots, and notes were added. Been sent via Royal Mail and reached me in two days.
Ordered on 10/11, sent 11/11, received 13/11

Also they gave me an extra plant as a Christmas present! Wow! Totally unexpected so thanks a lot!

I wasn't asked to provide a Trustpilot rating but I felt motivated to leave a review somewhere because I was so impressed. Plants were very competitively priced compared to other online nurseries, particularly taking into account their size. I was also taken aback by the speed of delivery, as less than 48 hours elapsed between me placing the order and the plants arriving at my door (possibly it may well take longer during 'peak' months; nonetheless I thought this was very impressive). It also feels nice to support a smaller nursery rather than one of the more obvious 'names'.
