Proofread Anywhere Avis 

I am sorry, but I cannot rate the General Proofreading course at this time. It has been a very bad time for me in the last three months. I had too many interruptions by several events I do not wish to get into. If these events had not happened, I would be in another Proofreading course, but they did not. I am having to deal with the after-effects of last year and clear them up before I can continue with the General Proofreading course. I do not know how much longer this will take.

The course really gave everything I needed to know to feel confident in starting freelance proofreading, and it being on my own time gave me the peace of mind I needed to know I wouldn’t lose this opportunity when a family illness required me to pause my pursuit.

Great experience! So great, I signed up for the Proofreading Transcribes class. Great instruction, loved the written lecture as well as the audio lecture. This really helped me with study. Lots of great downloadable resources. Thanks!

This class was an excellent introduction into the freelance proofreading world and made me feel a lot more confident in my skills and ability to pursue freelance work

Short and sweet course modules that facilitate fast drill down for reference later. Good feedback on completions. Inclusion of a module on AI. Great amount of material for the money. Thanks for the advice on how to get the business up and running. Good links out of the course material. Links in transcripts need to be alive since that is how I will access them going forward.

Sorry still in Second Module after over a month. I'm an underemployed senior PT cat sitter (have nada this week) and holidays provide much of my meager income. I haven't figured out how to print the study worksheets to interact with them, and the FB group won't accept me as I do not know how to upload a pic to a site.

Be prepared to put in the work: forty essays to proofread, plus (optional) eighty Chicago Manual of Style quizzes of ten questions each. Buy or subscribe to the CMOS book and the punctuation book suggested. Take all the quizzes at the end of each section. You get out of this what you put into it.

Great course! I absolutely enjoyed it. I never knew there was so much to grammar and also proofreading. I learnt a lot and what I had already known was reinforced. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in this career field.

I like the amount of quizzes to check my knowledge. I thought the organization of topics was appropriate, and the workload was manageable. I appreciate the quick response time on grading the final exam.

This course is easy and challenging at the same time. It really makes you think and dive deeper into proofreading. The lessons are great. I learned so much. Thanks!

Enrolling in Proofread Anywhere was the best decision I could have made for myself after retiring. The course content was structured perfectly, and the practice I received on the essays really helped me hone my skills as a proofreader.
The private Facebook community was another huge benefit. It was great to be able to connect with fellow students for help and guidance throughout the course. It was nice to be able to rejoice with each other in our accomplishments and to help each other with our difficulties.
After completing the course work and gaining my certification, I still had questions about setting up my website, how to set my pricing, etc. Every question I asked was responded to in a timely manner. That is what really impressed me.

The ad says ''NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY'' but I would like to know WHAT experience each reviewer has, as well as their AGE. Someone "just out of school" or who has a little or a lot of experience can add "weight" to their review. I'm also interested in the "1 and 2 Star" reviews. and whether the ''positive'' comments by the company has been enacted or not. Maybe the tremendous Discount reflects this. What is the Follow-up to the "criticism"? Has the company addressed the issue in its most recent pronouncements?

I thought my knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling was rather solid. I suddenly discovered I had so much more to learn. The comprehensive Modules build well upon each other, supplemented by the informative supporting material. Currently working on Module 7, Practice Sets, learning about the various proofreading methods from Module 6 and how to utilize them: Adobe PDF, Word Tracking Changes, Google Docs, and i Annotate. My, how the exciting journey continues!

Taking the General Proofreading Theory and Practice course by Proofread Anywhere has been a wonderful experience. I enjoyed being part of a community that was there for me every step of the way. If I had questions, I always had someone I could reach out to with my questions or concerns. The course material was very thorough and I'm thankful that I could complete it at my own pace. It gave me direction to develop the skills necessary to pass the final exam. I'm excited to see where this journey takes me.

When I first started, I thought to myself what have I signed up for? Then shortly after, I fell ill with the flu for over a week and could not get out of bed. I was very curious, as I wanted to start the course but just wasn't able to. However, after a few more days I was back to normal, thank God.

When I finally started, I was extremely enthralled at how engaging this course content was. At first I felt like deja vu was setting in as it took me back to my childhood in grades 5 and 6. All the memories of what a verb, noun, pronoun, adjective and adverb had me thrilled at how much this course was unlocking my memories of over 55 years ago in a similar setting in school! Wow! I'm loving it. I'm so happy that I took this leap of faith and I can't wait to see where this will eventually take me. Thanks for the opportunity. I feel so blessed.

This training is very comprehensive. It covered the basics, recommended resources, and shared lessons learned. I have enjoyed being part of this group and will continue to interact with them.

There is too much info to only be covered with bullet points and one or two sentences. I plan on continuing the course but am disappointed in course content. Many things have changed in the dissemination of grammatical information and it has been a long time since high school English class. I do appreciate the $100 discount however.

This course has been a very good investment, for sure. I have learned everything to do with our awesome English language in such tremendous detail. Thank you so much for all your research and knowledge. The only thing I do NOT like is having to build a webpage. I just cannot relate or adjust to doing that. Showit was completely useless for me. I wish there could have been a little more help with that. I chose WordPress and their AI assistance (for a price). I know it's better, for me, than Showit. Showit-Showhat?

This was the best course I have ever done. It beats anything I have studied online or in person. They are very thorough and teach you about all the aspects of proofreading as well as starting a business. I would recommend Proofread Anywhere to anyone!
