Prophecycricket Avis 

Had a call with a member of the team to discuss the bat I was after. Called me back 5-10 minutes later with 4/5 bats that match the specs I wanted. Prepared to pick up just a couple of days later (wanted to feel it myself). Also gave their professional opinion on the best option for me.

My 10 year old and I travelled from Wales to visit the Prophecy cricket store in Stockport and we loved it! We took advantage of their knock in service and they were delivered to us 5 days after picking them off the shelf!

My son chose a size 4 Mythic and I chose the SH Bushido. The balance and weight distribution in both bats is outstanding and the pick ups and excellent. We took them to the nets today to make sure they’re game ready and the ping off them is u like anything I’ve used before, absolutely outstanding. Players from my club were really impressed with mine and enjoyed having a swing.

I also bought myself a set of wicket keeping gloves and inners. The inners are the best I’ve ever used. The gloves will obviously take a bit of time to loosen but the catching area is excellent. The cushioning is excellent and is right up there with other gloves I’ve used from major cricket brands. I would be very interested in having them be slightly longer down the wrist.

I have also purchased some of their clothing to train in and I’ve really enjoyed wearing it. Comfortable, breathable and the hoodie is nice and warm too.

Can’t really compare my G1 Bushido bat to anything I’ve played with before! It’s fantastic. Great ping, great middle, unbelievable pick up. Really Really great bat. Great team behind the company, they’ve been really helpful and supportive with great communication.

I recently bought a bat from Prophecy Cricket and it has been absolutely brilliant. The pickup is fantastic, and the quality is top notch. Highly recommend them!

Having seen a couple of negative reviews I was reluctant to take the plunge however the discount offered though the sponsorship schemes made it appealing.

I ordered the full works and I have to say on first receiving everything I was disappointed, wrongly as it turns out. The softs just felt a bit cheap when compared with my existing kit and the bat had a lot of blemishes for a 'pro' grade. I spoke with Prophecy and they were excellent, working out a deal to suit us both.
Having now used the kit for a couple of months I feel able to write a review that I hope will help others make the right choice on what is a significant expense for most.

Pads and Gloves - Initially felt and looked a bit below top quality but I have to say they wear well, the pads are light and flexible whilst protective and the gloves are extremely comfortable. Value for money they are excellent, especially when compared to other companies £140+ pads.

Bag - I went with the larger bag and it is massive, very well thought out design, hasn't aged that well as the outer material is fairly thin and my spikes have made holes in the shoes compartment already.

Helmet - Comfortable and fairly light, comes with stem guard which adds to its value.

Bat - I went with the Mythic Pro, like I said initially I was disappointed, I'm a bat geek and collector (currently have 9) and I think in hindsight I put too much into the Pro grade labelling, this has a few blemishes on the face and the stickers/grip appeared lazily applied. Pro grade bats are £1000, this one isn't so there's your context. So practically speaking is it good value, god yes!. It took me a couple of games to have the confidence to ditch my no.1 bat but I'm so glad I did, the ping off the Mythic is fantastic!. It picks up nicely and goes well off the full face of the bat, longevity will be seen as we go but it has held up well so far.

If you've made it this far, well done!. In summary I suppose I can answer two questions.
1 - Is it top of the range kit
A - No, it isn't BUT it isn't far off
2 - Is it value for money
A - Yes , absolutely. At the sponsorship/ebay prices it is exceptional value for money and comes with very responsive and attentive customer service.

I would recommend Prophecy to all.
