We adopted two kittens from Protected Paws: Ash & Lorenzo. Our experience from start to finish was nothing but perfectly professional (considering that the entire operation is run by volunteers). It was our first experience adopting, and we had fantastic support and advice. The kittens came from different foster homes and had both been treated with such obvious love and care: it made the whole process super easy for us. These cats have improved our lives no end and we cannot recommend Protected Paws highly enough!

I cannot thank Protected Paws enough for helping me adopt my beautiful Luna (previously Dominique). She was found the day before giving birth to her gorgeous kittens, and I honestly feel like the luckiest cat mum in the world to now have her in my life. She is so well behaved, playful, and incredibly affectionate.
The whole adoption process was perfect — quick, clear, and very well organised. I filled in the adoption request form, had a couple of interviews (including a home check), and once everything was approved, I was put in touch with her fosterer straight away. Both Protected Paws and the fosterer provided all the information and support I needed.
As this was my first time adopting a cat, I was quite anxious, but I was guided every step of the way and given everything I needed to feel confident becoming a first-time cat mum to this beautiful lady.
A huge thank you to Rebecca and Celine for their kindness, care, and support throughout the process. I am forever grateful for everything you did for Luna and for all you do for the countless strays you help every day — you truly are angels. 🐾💛

We have recently adopted a cat called Jimmy from Protected Paws. He is a sweet little cat who needed a home after being fostered. Rebecca was so helpful, knowledgeable and reassuring and after a video call agreed that Jimmy would be well placed with us. He's been with us a month now and is settled, happy and a delight to have in our family. The whole process has been very straightforward and I know there is support from the team at Protected Paws if ever we need it, I would definitely recommend using this charity if you are thinking of giving a cat a home. I cannot thank Protected Paws enough for the incredible support I’ve received during my first fostering experience. As someone with no previous experience of owning a pet, I felt both excited and nervous about welcoming Albert into my home. The team at Protected Paws guided me every step of the way — from preparing my home, to feeding, litter training, health checks, and even helping me understand Albert’s behaviour.

Their care doesn’t stop at rescuing cats; they truly care about fosterers too. Every question I had, big or small, was answered with patience, kindness, and reassurance. It made all the difference in helping Albert settle in and helping me grow in confidence as a first-time fosterer.

Albert came from a difficult past, but with Protected Paws’ support and resources, I’ve been able to see him relax, play, bond and thrive. This has been such a rewarding and heart-warming journey, and I’m deeply grateful for the chance to be part of Albert’s story.

Protected Paws is doing life-changing work for cats and people alike. I wholeheartedly recommend supporting them, fostering through them or donating to their cause. They truly give cats — and their foster families — the second chance they deserve.

And now, the happiest ending of all — we’ve decided to adopt Albert and make him a permanent part of our family. 💙🐾

I’m full deaf and using British sign language, I also am autism. I cannot speak on the phone. I wrote about stray cats in my garden, two female cats pregnant. I send them on an email. They don’t respond. Shame, I’m going to get stray cats to Cat Protection.

We recently adopted three sibling kittens through Protected Paws who made the process so easy. It was obvious to see the compassion the foster carer had for the family and we are sure this helped the transition from their home to ours. Thank you.

Protected Paws made the adoption process very simple! It was a simple, quick process, and was warm and human throughout. We were able to meet the kittens before we adopted them, which was wonderful!

As they use fosterers, the kittens we now have were used to being in a home, around people and being handled. We love them & are so grateful for Protected Paws!

We had such a wonderful experience with Protected Paws! After we lost one of our beloved cats, we were looking for a new one to join our family. They listened to our circumstances and found us a perfect match. 🐈‍⬛ They also take care of all jabs and spaying/neutering, so they make it very easy.

It’s been almost three months since we’ve adopted our adorable little rescue cat, Lilo.
Rebecca, the lady from Protected Paws, recommended Lilo as she seemed a perfect match for our lifestyle. She has been very helpful, and responsive. She answered my many questions and did a throughout check of our situation before agreeing to the adoption. Although it happened very quickly. We met the foster parents, Hilde and her husband who did an amazing job with Lilo, giving her a great space, lots of love and attention. The second we met Lilo, during our first visit, we fell in love with her.
She has quickly warmed up to us and to the house and she is now the queen of the castle. We couldn’t be happier and I’m pretty sure Lilo would say the same. Very content and spoiled cat :)
I would 100% recommend going through Protected Paws to adopt. I will surely go back when we are ready to grow the little family :)

My two kittens have settled brilliantly within 4 days, are healthy, well socialised and loving life, and are now firm members of our family ❤️

I cannot recommend this charity enough. An absolutely amazing animal rescue who have vets and volunteers who go above and beyond to rescue animals in need. I never heard of them until my cat’s vet recommended that I foster. Fosterers and adopters get plenty of support. I have since adopted a kitten from them who was abandoned outside in a crate on a winter’s night.
