Do not purchase anything from this company!! They lure you in with the warranty claim but if your engine is not installed within 10 days from receiving the engine, the warranty is void!! No one stated this to me when purchasing the engine. It is stated on one of the emails that I received from them but in the “fine print” down on the bottom of the email! After calling in to start the warranty period, they said it could not be activated. The mechanic did not start working on this engine replacement right away and that was fine with me because I had no idea about the 10 day period!! You can’t activate the warranty until the engine has been installed and you only have 10 days to do the installation!! If someone would have told me this when I spoke to them about purchasing this engine, that would have been fine, I would have gone to another mechanic to have the engine replaced!! When I said to the person that I was talking to about starting the warranty, he hung up on me when I said that I didn’t think it was right that they didn’t state this to me when I purchased the $3200.00 engine!! No way to do business!!!!

Tuesday November 5 at 10:10 am I received a phone call from Scott who identified himself as representing Quality Used Engines and SW used engines.
He asked me if I wanted a refund of my money associated with your invoice #341412.in the amount of $2395.
My refund demand is based on the cancellation notice of my order sent in to you writing by fax and email as well as the company not supplying a useable unit as was described either in good condition or in reasonable time.
This and other issues have caused me major financial damage that is actionable.
I said yes I want my money refunded. Scott said that my refund request will be honored.
The purpose of this note is to document that phone conversation for legal purposes.
This also constitutes a demand for my money to be refunded in full immediately.

SCAM!!!!SCAM!!!Do not purchase an engine from this company!! They refuse to give me a refund stating it’s been past 30 days when it took a month just to receive the first engine which was missing pieces damaged and broken but overall you guessed it the wrong engine!! Now After 67 days and finally receiving a 2nd engine it came with missing pieces and like someone had picked it up and slammed it 10ft into concrete. My mechanic shop refuses to touch the engine. Says it’s junk and should be trashed. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!! SCAM!!!

Stay away from this company!! We saved up to buy an engine and we regret in every way using Quality Used Engines. We’re now waiting on our third engine because the first two weren’t tested like they said they were. No one has apologized for this and they have in no way made it right. Instead we’ve now been waiting now 3 weeks for the third engine while they’ve ignored emails and calls from us. When we have talked to them they treated us horribly and like it’s our fault. Their products are junk and the words they describe their company being on their website are complete lies. We’re an honest family who worked hard to save up and in no way have we deserved the treatment we’ve received and mostly to have received two faulty engines!! I want to make sure no one has to go through what we have!!

The worst waste of time I ever got involved with first engine came no compression after paying $1000 installation second engine comes after waiting another 20 days for it to be delivered cracked Head was discovered before it was reinstalled into the vehicle was told by the company couldn’t get a cash refund cause I don’t want another engine from them because the original invoice was dated a month 30 day warranty please do yourself a favor and reconsider any business that you were thinking to do with this company

This Place is Horrible! I purchased a V6 engine for a Ford Flex 2010
After haggling with them for several months as to when it would be shipped, they shipped it on a pallet with straps, instead of a crate when it arrived to the mechanic shop it had shifted during being transported and had broken the air conditioning bracket on the front cover. When i called to tell the guy in the shipping and warranty dept, rudest guy ever and said it wasnt their problem. needless to say When I had previously inquired about all the delays, before it was shipped the guy in shipping was sooo rude. I will never ever do business with this place again they are nasty and mean people and very deceptive! they dont even deserve one star Gary Zapata,California

Verbally ordered an Engine was quoted a price shipped to me, and because the sales agent did not arrange for a liftgate truck delivery and because the truck driver refused me pulling the motor off of the truck by engine hoist, I am being charged an extra $225.00. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE ON YOUR ORDER.

How come the sales agent did not cover delivery logistics and requirements with me on the order. I am sure this is not the first time this has happened, and when it does how come Quality Engines has such poor customer service in handling this. I have been bounced around from one department to the next with no one capable of any customer service and not one of you has offered an apology or a proactive effort to resolving this except pass the buck and blame me, or say that is something I cannot help you with and you will have to talk to Dale the Shipping Manager. WELL DALE YOU HAVE BEEN AN EMPTY CHAIR WITH A VOICE MAIL unattended.

My customer specifically requested that I use you, and this is my first time as a professional shop to use Quality and so far no status updates on the order, except we took your money. No shipping notices till the order surprise here we are, but you'll have to pay a lot more for us to come back a week later. NO BUENO not happy and I am going to kick and scream till you make it right! You quoted a service and I expect you to hold up your side of the agreement.

terrible customer service. Sent the wrong engine wont take it back. Pretty much said you took to long to install it. Then hung up. Classy company avoid at all cost.

This Quality Engine company are a bunch of crooks and liars. I purchased an engine from them for an Audi 2010 A4 for over $3,600. I have jet to received an engine that works. I installed two of the three and have not worked. I am into this for thousands of dollars of installation labor cost. It was a big mistake in my part on not doing my homework in reviewing this company. I am still waiting for a third motor. This will be the last thing. I will have to get an attorney involved to see if I can get some of my money back. Also, to expose these crook for what they are. DO NOT PURCHASE an engine from this company.

This is the WORST experience that I have had in s very long time. They have terrible customer service, no one is professional and they don't answer the phone. I bought an engine for a 2012 Freightliner only to find out that the engine actually came from a 2008 truck and that is the reason that the truck will not start. I have tried calling and each time I am transferred before I can telling them everything hat they need to know. I have also been waiting over 3 weeks for the core to be picked up. This whole experience has been a NIGHTMARE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!

It’s been said if its sounds to good it probably is. Truly the case with QualityUsed Engines (QUE).
I needed an engine for a 2007 F-150 as many do these days I Googled used engines and QUE cane up with the engine I needed for my truck.

They said it was in stock for only $1,470.00 with “~66K miles.” and that I could request the VIN to run a background on the engine.

Upon doing the Carfax, I found the engine had "152,168" this is a discrepancy of 86,168 miles.

Their customer services was spotty at best and this was before I purchased anything from them.

Beawhere of the warranty as well this will cover “parts and labor” at any certify ASE shop up to $50.00 dollars labor. Most certify ASE shops charge $150.00 in my area of the US.

I was one of the lucky ones because I did my due diligence and did not get pulled in or traped by QUE’s scheme.

In three words “STAY AWAY!”

Terrible customer service, no shipping information and when I finally got a human in shipping I was advised to wait more as the engine was sitting waiting for a second shipping company. Nothing that deals with the fact that their delays make it impossible to meet my scheduled repair date and by needing a different set of days my warranty will be void. STAY AWAY regardless of price.

They will charge you a 25% cancelation fee. go figure thats $1000 off of $4000 they will keep even if you receive the item or not. That' how they make their money. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! Oh, and their receptionist hung up the phone on me and they even sent me an email that they would not charge my card because they needed a copy of my drivers license and credit card first. That seemed weird so I never sent them anything and they still charged me. Wow. Really low making money off of people by scamming them into a 25% fee for canceling. Really really low.

I wish I would have send this site before I bought an engine from them. All the 1 stars are true. This is a terrible organization. They are 100% scam artist. Rude. Unresponsive. Disrespectful.

Terrible company, don't buy from them. I did get an engine from them and got it right away (in a few days, came from a Denver salvage yard) and my mechanic installed it. It worked fine (did need a water pump), then, it needed a coolant valve replaced about 3 months later. Not a big deal, but, when I tried to get a warranty as it was in fine print to activate it, I had forgotten to do that. So, I'm out of luck on their warranty. I guess, shame on me for trusting an online ripoff company and not reading the reviews.

Order a used engine , no ship . emails / called several time ,no reply to my concern . Opened dispute my bank had my money back after few weeks . Terrible business

Lisa was very willing to take my order, told me the motor had 25k miles on it, told me 7 to 10 business days for delivery, scheduled the mechanic and placed the order, it took over two weeks just for the shipment to pick up, put less than 3k miles on it so far, used 6 quarts of oil and had to replace parts that shouldn't be worn out till over 125k miles...smokes bad, with no power...this motor is junk and cant get them to help, put on hold for an hour, they are hoping you will just hang up...finaly got facebook message from scott and he emailed me,...but he is also useless, no help and wont give me info on a claim, they refuse to give me the vin number on where this motor came from starting "they don't keep that info"...are the selling stolen parts then? you better know where your parts are coming from...this place is the worst..i wish I would have seen these reviews before I ordered...I would buy a sparkplug from these people!!!!!...they wont reply...I have given them my email, my cell and my work phone number...nothing....

I wish I could give less then a 1 star grade. My experience with this company has me wondering how they are still in business. Ordered a motor that was listed at $1200 with 67,000 miles on it + additional $200 because it delivered to residential area had the engine installed oil burned right out of the tailpipes because it was a bad motor. Reviewed my receipt that has no mileage on it they said they could not guarantee the mileage on the motor. Had to pay a $349 return fee plus had to pay to have it delivered back to them for a list of over $600 plus having it installed so I’m negative $1800 waiting on money back and just had to junk the car 🤦‍♂️

Worst company ever. Do not buy from them. Sent wrong engine. It was trashed by the way. Took several calls to get a bill of laden to return it. Was hung up on 3 times. Ordered in sept 18. Finally returned in nov 18 .it’s Apr 2019 and still now refund. Called again today was told by Scott or joe or somebody that didn’t hang up or was extra rude for once that they just got the engine back, BS! . I tracked it . Took 9 days once picked up. I was told that the refund is being processed now and that they didn’t need any info from me.

Do NOT trust this company!!!! their advertising sounds great!!!! They have zero work ethic, Customer service is a joke. They obviously DO NOT hire quality personnel, who are trained and know what they are doing. I bought a motor and even the Ford service department cant make it run. When you call the service manager who sounds like he is 12 only has the ability to question how the install was completed rather than offer any input that may help. DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY. Next engine I do will come from LKQ
