DON'T BUY ANYTHING from Quality Used Engines.
Quality doesn't even come close to describing the junk they shipped me. I received the engine with a visibly broken intake manifold. Mechanic removed the manifold to find metal chunks in 3 cylinders. After 3 weeks of back and forth with them, they finally sent a "replacement" engine. The 2nd one showed up looking like a completely rusted chunk of bare identifiable piece of metal. I finally got them to pick up the engine 4 weeks ago and am still waiting for my refund. Customer service is Rep yelled at me for asking where my refund is!!!

Let me start with I purchased the engine in January to start the timeline. They wanted a review before I even had the motor. I finally got the motor and they sent me a core. It was full of sludge, metal shavings and the number 5 cylinder wouldn’t fire. Found all this out after paying $1700 for removal and installation. Warranty department(Scott) did absolutely nothing, so I left a bad review. Bryan called me and got me a good motor. Another $1700 fee for removal and installation I finally have my truck back. This is end of March now. Sent Scott emails since 3/25 asking about refund of labor. Nothing, no response. As of today 4/11 I have decided to give until Friday and then proceed with legal action. Outside of Bryan I could not recommend this company to anyone. Do not want to honor their policy. I could have easily put the motor in myself but followed the rules now I’m out $3400. All I asked was for them to pay the removal and installation on the first motor. I understand me paying for one. No problem with that but don’t expect me to pay for both when you sent me a piece of garbage the first time. They even admitted that the first engine never should have been sent to a customer. So just a heads up be wary with this company

SCAM!!! Bait and switch!!! Beware!
I purchased an engine with 65K miles on it. It took about 1 month to receive it . The truck driver demanded $50 cash to get it off the truck! What we got was a worn out engine with a worn out aftermarket timing belt, rusted, painted over rust, water came out of the oil pan, after an oil flush, metal shavings came out. Many ODB II codes from the metal shavings on sensors. NO RESPONSE FROM QUE!!!! NO WARRANTY!!! HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!

This company has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The one star is a true reflection of their attitudes. The sales guy was nice, they have nice emails and phone system was easy, but after I got my money it WENT TO HELL. I took a leap during this COVID place to spend money to fix a car that isn't a priority, but I figured I would buy an engine and keep the economy going. As soon as I asked for the VIN to confirm maintenance history with my master mechanic in the national database...THEY STOPPED SUPPORTING ME. They wouldn't give me the VIN number of the engine I PAID FOR...they took my money, removed from my account....AND STILL WOULDN'T GIVE ME THE VIN NUMBER.

This means either they are using stolen parts, the person was just being a jerk, they are hiding something OR they have a bad process....EITHER WAY BUYER BE WARNED!!!

After a week of three emails and three phone calls, they don't do their jobs at all. Specifically their customer server manager/main person (I'll keep his name out of it) who answers the phone in that department is an impatient, anti-customer, rude, temper-mental and arrogant person.

THEY need to consider having a frank conversation with him, don't let him be on the phone or fire him. They took my $1,100 and I'm already getting legal on this....what ever it needs to be. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

I am currently in a dispute with my credit card carrier over a refund from these crooks. They are truly a dishonest company . They should be avoided or you will be abused by their policies and practices. Just unbelievable that they are allowed to be in business.

They sent me the wrong engine and stole my money ! they sent a truck and got there engine back and refuse to refund any money back to me , They Stole $2400 from me !!!!!!

Please do not order from this company, they had to send me two engines and they state all parts and labor. On over $3000.00 worth of work they offered a refund of $600.00. Anyone knows you can’t not replace an engine for that price. Their customer service is terrible and they do not honor what they state when ordering please stay away from this company. Currently filing a law suit

Worst mistake I've done was deal with this company, been told a date itll arrive multplie ti.es of being nice and don't see anything for confirmation, after 3rd time calling in and being mad I get a email the next saying it's been shipped. After finally getting engine week and half late. I get installed and want to register for warranty. Have issues so i call in for 3 weeks, leave voicemails etc no call back finally get a hold of someone a month later and oh you do qualify for warranty except 6 month parts... cool wish I didn't have to give one star

I'm convinced this company is a Scam! They did not send me my engine for 2 months so I had to get another and I called and cancelled. They kept 25% as a "restock fee". Even though they never shipped it or took it out of stock. Never returned my emails or phone calls. I think they make more profit this way than on shipping engines.And if you read their fine print for warranty it is rediculous with so many restrictions installation must be complete within 10 days of delivery, and 100 other things that void it every time and another customer said hers was voided bcause she didn't click on a link.

Terrible customer service shipping time lost engine 1000 miles away cost thousands in ship time waiting on the engine

I bought a engine clearly listed as a 2016 Ford Explorer with 18,000 miles. My mechanic advised me the motor was tagged 2013 Ford Taurus...paid 1995.00 but got a motor 3 years older with absolutely no guarantee of mileage. It did look clean but seems like false advertising to me. Have only had it for 3 days...hopefully I don’t become a horror story..

Do not trust Quality to stand behind their warranty! I bought a transmission from them in August 2019. In January 2020 the transmission began to have issues. Less than 500 miles were put on the vehicle between August and January. My invoice clearly states the transmission was warranted for 1 yr or 12,000 miles and nowhere on the invoice does it say anything about activating the warranty. I have a hard printed copy of the invoice that was taken directly from my computer screen showing this information. When I called they said my warranty was void after 3 months because I did not click on a link to activate the warranty! I went back through every communication I received from them and none of the communications contained any sort of link. The only reason I can see for this is so they do not have to cover the items they sell. IF YOU ARE GOING TO ADVERTISE A WARRANTY IT SHOULD BE AUTOMATICALLY PUT IN PLACE AT THE TIME OF SALE, NOT SOMETHING THAT THE CUSTOMER HAS TO ACTIVATE. I wonder how many other customers have been ripped off by this unethical business practice. This is very deceptive at best and criminal at worst. Also the transmission was stated to have less than 30K on it, yet when the shop received it, it had a tag on it that said it was a "B" grade transmission? I should have questioned that right then and there, but I needed the car back in service at the time so I didn't say anything. My bad! So now I have a $2000. {$1370 for the trans and $600. for R&R) piece of junk metal. Thanks a lot Quality! Do not trust these guys they are crooks!

To quote my dad these guys are as crooked as a barrel of snakes!!! Do not do ANY business with them what so ever!! Sold me an engine and it failed after one month. Received a second engine from them under warranty and were supposed to pay to have it installed under warranty and they would only pay a fraction of the original cost to have it installed!!! The second engine which in fact was not even the correct year motor for my car lasted one damn day!!! They are selling untested JUNK and are now informing me that THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY FURTHER SERVICE OR EVEN WARRANTY THE SECOND ENGINE!!!! I will be contacting an attorney to get my money back!

Very bad people , they will rob you with those garbage engines they have . Also theres a sale on their website , thats cause they ran out of people to steal from , the warranty is a scam and a lie . They look for any reason to not warranty your engine , be ware!!!! They are thieves

If you want an engine with inaccurate miles that's randomly sent from a salvage yard somewhere in the US with no testing, this the company to go with. Who knows you may get lucky and get a good one, personally I think you have better odds betting on football. This is their proven track record with many many financially compromised customers. As a sign of the deceptive nature of this company look at the positive reviews on this page, THEY ARE ALL THE SAME DATE. They clearly wrote themselves some 5/4 star reviews in order to trick customers to see some good outcomes (thay are false, fabricated and do not exist). Research SW / Southwest engine. They are one in the same. DO NOT SUPPORT this company. They need to be financially starved in order to allow them to DIE!!! Remanufactured engines is green friendly and financially the only option for many, this is an industry that can thrive when the evil, malevolent ones do not exist.

Do not buy anything from them all other reviews are telling the truth. These people are crooks and a scam. Please go to their yelp to see a pic of the trash motor they sent me. And they have not returned my money I paid $1400 for a 70k mile engine... took over a month to arrive (because they were cleaning it and processing it) and the engine looked like it came from the ocean. The mechabic did not even want to touch it and felt so bad for wasting my money. SCAM SCAM SCAM they sell TRASH ENGINES.

This business needs to close down and the people managing it need to go to jail for STEALING from honest people.

Payment of invoice was made Dec 05. Informed on web page engine was in stock and ready to ship in 7-10 days. Today is Dec 24 and still no word on shipping. Very disappointed. QUE has had full payment for 19 days. Where is my engine?

FRAUDS, CHEATS, CROOKS!!! The state of Wisconsin has filed a lawsuit against this company!!!

I Purchased a used motor from them. It took forever to receive the motor. Upon receipt of the motor it looked like it was in a junk yard forever, Rusted and Water damage. They claim they test the engines, LIE!!! Upon receipt of the engine my mechanic tried to spin the engine by hand. He could not and he's a really big guy. So he pulled the heads off and found it was rusted in the cylinders along with major carbon build up. The claimed low mileage engine I bought was a LIE, the testing of the motor was a LIE. Because my mechanic pulled the heads they denied my warranty! I'm out 100% of the money I paid them. Stay away from this FRAUDULENT company. Unless you wish to donate money to them.

Ordering process was simple enough however i was sent not one bad engine but 2 bad engines. Very poor customer service difficult to communicate with and very slow to refund money. I would avoid like the plague

I am one of the truly lucky ones not to fall for these scammers. I am looking for an engine for my 1992 Honda Accord so I ran into this website a few days ago, it caught my attention the 50K Mile/5 year warranty so I requested a Quote. They sent me one for $975 dollars, then they dropped the price for $945. I called them to ask some questions and from the get go the representative was rude. They stated on their website that this engine had 88K miles. I asked for proof (pictures of the odometer and when exactly was the engine removed and reason why) guy in a rude way stated they don't have proof, "it was just the reading on the odometer when it was removed" IT IS A SCAM. Stay away! I saved myself lots of stress, time and money. I hope this helps others.
