Got the job done very well and are very professional, make sure their works done to the best standards

It could have been a disaster - I have been warned away from trusting cold callers and have certainly met some that I would not trust with my name. But I live in an old property and the windows and doors were in need of urgent attention as we were dealing with drafts and leaks were common. I knew something needed done, but I was overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. When Raise and Glaze knocked on the door I decided it couldn't hurt to get a quote. This was the start of my excellent experience with them.

Their sales person came to our property and gave us plenty of time to explore options, listen to what was important to us, and to offer advice where we needed help. From our interactions I was convinced these were the right people for the job.

When time came for the two joiners to start work in Aug/Sep I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived on time and on the days they said they would! They worked with me over the next few days so there was minimum disruption while they replaced 13+ windows over three floors and changed the front door. Because each part of the house is a different age there were a variety of factors for each room, but they took it in their stride.

I had a ton of dumb questions about windows, and they were always happy to show me how things worked. It was a pleasure having them round.

If you are doing similar expect some dust - so you may want to move and cover electrical equipment, clothing, beds on the days they are working in a given room, but otherwise we just had to move bulky furniture away from the windows. No need for any full room clear outs and such.

A mistake I made was I hadn't specified what kind of lock I wanted on the inside of the front door, and wasn't happy with the one provided. A stress free chat later and they came and swapped out the lock for one I love.

Another thing that I had been very nervous about was that the bathroom really, really needed an extractor fan installed. However I had nightmare visions of a plumber smashing through tiles to get to the electrics etc. Raise and Glaze were able to bring in their own electrician who connected the fan's power to the light fitting, so no restructuring was needed, while they installed the window. It's a night-and-day difference in the bathroom now!

When the work was done I was impressed with how it looked and the standard it appeared to be carried out to.

I gave it some time and then, earlier this year we were hit by Storm Éowyn, the "Storm of the Century". And for us it was a non-event the usual drafts that would have been blowing through the house were gone, no more rattling windows and no rainwater leaking in. Everything was solid.

I'm super happy with Raise and Glaze and so, so relieved that I placed my trust in them. Something that sets them apart from larger fitting companies is that the owners are the workers and have a long history in regular Joinery and put this experience into fitting windows. It's clear they take pride in their work and that they can tackle the more intricate jobs that businesses that only fit widows can struggle with.

When I need more work done, I won't hesitate to reach back out to Raise and Glaze.

Raise and Glaze installed 2 new windows for us recently. Not an easy job in an old cottage where nothing is straight, however our windows were installed and finished to a high standard both internally and externally- we are very pleased with them! Chris and Jordan are fantastic craftsmen and worked hard and cheerfully - nothing was too difficult for them! I would recommend Raise & Glaze to anyone looking for a great job at a reasonable cost.

Amazing experience throughout. We had our old kitchen and conservatory completely refurbed with the wall knocked down in between both as well. Massive job but Angela was great with all of the conversations before the work started. Jordan and Chris were so hard working and professional throughout. Perfectionists when it came to the small details. They were able to make our vision for our home come to life. Could not have asked for better!

Everything was very simple from start to finish. I made contact and Angela explained that they were a family company and the joiners were skilled finishing joiners which made all the difference as I knew that this being an old stone property taking out the old windows they might find problems. Claire came to see me, talked me through what they sold and what to expect. She then took initial measurements and we talked in detail about what I wanted.

Chris came out to take definite measurements and talk over any queries I had. Within a couple of days I received the price and as soon as my money came through I paid a deposit. Within a short few weeks the men started the work which I’d been told would take three days to complete my new windows and door.

The men arrived and got started right away. Very nice lads just got on with the work even though the weather was a challenge.

They finished in two and a half days and I am so pleased with the finish as it is exactly what I asked for and looks fantastic. They were very detailed about the finish and each night before they left they cleaned up after themselves. I couldn’t be happier.

Had windows fitted from raise & glaze in August and the whole experience from start to finish was excellent. Clare visited and talked us through the product and gave us a quote there was no pressure or hard sell. On the day of the work the guys arrived and worked hard through the day to get the job done. The finish on the windows is excellent and they look great. When they were finished and left you wouldn't even know they had been here the guys cleaned up inside and out and left no mess at all.
