Hi all,
I am so sad to say that like you guys I have also been a victim of this scam I received a call and was told I would be helping poorly and dying children if I donated £298.80 in return they said that I would have my advert in a magazine.
Thank you to all the people who have already commented on here I did not give any money. I never agreed to pay the money and was told I would receive information in the post, instead I got an invoice. I have contacted Action Fraud as one of you suggested and they have been great I highly recommend it. PLEASE BE CAREFUL X I have definitely learnt my lesson :-(

Cold call received from 07537 149219. I asked them to email some info to me but they seemed more interested in writing only after something was agreed. I would be more interested in advertising my CIC and told them I would not agree to anything over the phone since I had been stung by the police magazine scam. He said he would leave it with me and hung up.

scouring the internet and they found my number where they were asking to donate money to childrns charity. They are cold calling you, marketing and phoning you with your permission to scam money from you.
I called their HQ who wasnt helpful at all. Like the caller, the other guy claims they were not marketing. Phone random business numbers asking for money is marketing.

In 2021 I was contacted regarding advertising in a magazine for a children’s charity which helps ill and dying children I ended up paying £134 ,I still owed £100 but never paid it as I never received the magazine I was promised … 2 years later 19th oct I received a text from DRC Debt collection asking for the £100 and £150 DRC charge which I ignored as it stated best solutions on the text and not raising smiles so I had no idea what it was , I then received the exact same text on the 27th oct asking for £399 ,£100 owed and £299 DRC CHARGE again I ignored . Then received a 3rd text on Friday the 3rd November asking for the £100 owed £390 DRC charge and £85 court costs total £575 . Ignored again then Monday 6th received a letter through the post asking for the full amount for the advert which was £234 , £390 DRC charge and £85 court fees and if this wasn’t paid a CCJ would be against me . Got some legal advice and contacted the debt collection company DRC-SERVICES and asked if I could get hard copies of their companies house number and FCA number which they couldn’t tell me and the lady completely changed on the phone knowing she had been rumbled she then put the phone down .

Please stay away from Raising smiles and if you do owe them any money do not pay it and if you receive any threats from DRC DEBT PLEASE IGNORE !!! Look

i was wondering if anyone could help a few years ago my husband had a phone call from this company about being in a magazin3 for his company he didn't signed up to anything then got a invoice through from them which we never paid qe have started to receive emails f4oma company called drc stating they are taking him to court he has 7 days to pay and a ccj will be applied to his company what would you do is this matter a spoke to drc and there testing to say they have a signed signature of us receiving a catalogue which is lies

SCAM, JUST PUT THE PHONE DOWN...WE HAD TO NOW PAY DEBT FEES. ABSOLUTLY SHOCKING THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS

I was called by a local number, & spoke to a guy from a company called Total Solutions, he told me they were supporting the Childrens Hospis charity Raising Smiles & that he wanted my business to feature in the back, he also told me it was local. After doing some research I later found out the company was in fact in Cheshire. 4 hours away from where I do business! I never received the magazine that they told me I would be in? Then a few weeks later I get an invoice for £179, which of course I refused to pay due to never receiving the magazine, being miss sold & falsely mislead.! This is false advertising! I never signed up to any contract either. I heard nothing more for years! Now 5 years on I am receiving threatening phone calls & emails from their debt collection & solicitors, threatening me with Legal action! THESE CRETINS ARE DISCUSTING SCUMBAGS!!! Pretending to help Ill & dying children. With advertising that does not exist. The companies in their testimonials on their website, 1 being dissolved since 2012… SCAM SCAM SCAM!

Scam advertising business on magazine that i never saw! tried to make me pay for artwork I never gave the go ahead. said it was too late and everything was already printed but wen I mentioned "scam" they said order was cancelled. stay away from them! Trying to take advantage of small business.

Recieved a call asking if I wanted to appear in their magazine at £399 full page or £199 business card sized. The guy was quite smooth so I googled Raising Smiles an the Trust Pilot reviews came up. He did not give his name

I tried to phone the chap back on the number that came up on the phone when he called me and I got a Not in Service Reply. All feels a little bit suspect to me

Had a phone call from raising smiles yesterday (11/09/2023)
They got our business number from yell, and actually did seem genuine during the phone call. When I got off the phone I then got another phone call from someone else from raising smiles. That's when I thought something was strange.
Luckily enough I looked into them before paying any money!

Scammed my husband of nearly £300 currently trying to get back through the bank, don’t be fooled like us!

I have parted with £300 for a years advertisement, total scam. I now have my bank trying to investigate the scam and help with recouping my money. They use children to play on peoples kindness and that is the lowest form of pond life. I am a small business, only been trading for 3 years, £300 is a lot of money to me.

Please do not do business with them, as the previous reviews will point out they are not a trustworthy organisation and also they do not take anything into consideration when talking to you. They change the offer constantly and do not care about your needs when it comes to working with them. Definitely avoid.

Cold called my personal mobile number claiming to be "running a project in my area" with local business owners and I had been recommended as a business owner. Asked what area I was in, they didn't know, said they were working in my local hospital and needed my business donation urgently to help sick children. I asked what hospital and the guy said he was "working closely with" Great Ormond St. I am nowhere near that hospital. He couldn't tell me what work they do or how any donation would be used. I hung up.

scam artists trying to get me to sign on to their magazine as a business to which they had my address and details from my company profile , said they will send me an invoice and get everything underway i said hold up im not paying for anything to be told they have limited space and cant wait for me to decide so they have to do it now and set me up a payment plan if i preffer i said no thanks ... so looking at the reviews im expecting an "invoice" which i will not be paying either as i never agreed to it!
