Best coffee I have had in ages

This sounds like an exaggeration but this coffee is possibly one of the best coffees I have ever had. I got the aeropress gift set as been wanting one for a while. The bag smells delicious and makes an amazing coffee. It arrived quickly and came with a good quality guide to make it. Think I wil be going for the subscription next.

Consistent high quality for the past 12…

Consistent high quality for the past 12 months. Rave Coffee is always fresh, roasted to order, and excellent value. The packaging is secure and the aroma upon delivery is incredible.
However, I do feel a loyalty scheme or points system for returning customers is missing, especially when compared to other coffee providers. Aside from that lack of incentive, the product itself is outstanding

Best coffee!

This is my favourite place to get coffee from, it's always amazing. I particularly love their swiss water decaf. Whenever I've had any issues at all they've been super helpful. Thank you for wonderful coffee:)

5 star customer service

I give Rave 5 stars for their prompt customer service. I enjoyed the first 1kg bag and then decided to try the Italian blend. When it arrived it was 250g and I emailed received a reply and was sorted within about 10 minutes. No demands for proof and the right size bag is on its way. This is the way to keep customers coming back- thank you

A long time coming

I have put my date of experience as the date of my last order but I first ordered coffee from them almost three years ago in December 2022 and they have been a part of my morning routine very nearly every day since!
In those three years I've settled with the Columbian El Carmen as a monthly subscription and its incredibly consistent and flavourful, but I also like to get a small bag of something different to try every now and then and with the huge range they have (whether a staple like the Italian job blend or a limited edition rare coffee) I'm never left wanting!
Every type of coffee they offer tastes unique, and every morning made better!

I've also only had to contact customer services due to error once in these three years (accidentally sent a smaller bag then i ordered) but they were kind and resolved the issue quickly with me getting the 1kg I ordered and the small bag they sent by accident so I was happy!

TL:DR
Brilliant coffee with lots of choice, fast delivery and reliable customer service!

They auto delete bad reviews!

I've been a customer of Rave Coffee for years. Recently I ordered their Fudge blend after reading the fantastic reviews on their website. But no matter how I dialed in the grind, the coffee left a nasty bitter taste. I decided to give a review on their website but it didn't appear. After emailing them, they proudly told me that they auto delete bad reviews! They did ask me for grind settings and extraction times etc but when I criticized their review process they didn't reply. I guess they just don't like criticism! Anyway they just lost another customer. Very unprofessional and they clearly don't value regular repeat customers.

Rude young staff

Rude young staff. No time for you, even after patiently queuing.
Got told to "move along" after querying the 30% black friday discount today.. as no visible till screen to see, no printed receipt privided- they just expect you to swipe and bugger off.
Last time I went they told me they didn't do Soya milk as "nobody wants it."
No available seating inside, nowhere to park. Talk about over hyped. Needs some local competion..

Excellent customer service

I made a mistake with my order and sent it to the wrong address, a sent them a message on their WhatsApp soon after saying about my mistake and they fixed it quickly, no questions asked! Also the coffee tastes great 👌👌

Failed to deliver the item several days…

Failed to deliver the item several days in a row. Blamed RoyalMail and suggested I "find a safe place", despite explaining not once, but twice, that RoyalMail had delivered a parcel to me a few minutes before I received the notification that they "couldn't deliver" Rave's.

Tried to patronise me in the responses and communicated in a jarring manner, "Postie", "pickle", "Best Millie" - I get you're trying to be an edgy brand but don't add informal communication to the mix, it doesn't suit you.

Also tried to pretend that I would have to wait for my order to be returned to refund me but failed in their knowledge of consumer law, when a company breaches the delivery times, it is a breach of contract which the customer can end. This was not a change of mind refund, this was a contract breach. Refunding immediately is a right within the consumer rights act.

I will never find out if Rave coffee is good or not, the beans simply never arrived and the weak customer support I received with insincere attempts to resolve the issue did nothing more than alienate me further.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I’m really sorry for the frustration you experienced. We completely understand how disappointing it is when a delivery doesn’t arrive on time, and we agree that this can be incredibly frustrating.

We asked about setting up a safe place as an extra precaution to help ensure your order could be delivered safely, and I apologise if this came across the wrong way. Our intention was never to patronise, and I’m sorry if our tone or wording felt that way.

Normally our policy is to issue a refund once the item is returned to us, however due to the frustration caused we agreed to process this immediately. We also didn’t intend to give the impression that we were misunderstanding consumer rights.

As mentioned previously, we offer next working day dispatch rather than next working day delivery, so we were still within our time frames, however we processed the refund straight away for you.

I’m sorry that your experience with us wasn’t a positive one, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

Just received our order. The packaging is great, really good quality. A guide on how to brew with a mokka, cafetière etc. What a lovely package to open! You can smell the coffee through the box. Can’t wait to try. Thank you.

Brilliant in every way!!

Great coffee and nice touches like brewing guide leaflets and coffee tasting cards, which come free with subscription orders. I get two bags every month on subscription and they're very reasonably priced and also they're different every month so I get to try a range of coffees which is really great!! All without having to do anything. Even better is the flexibility - you can rearrange the monthly order to whenever. For eg. yesterday I realised we're nearly out of coffee and asked for the order today. Did not expect it would be shipped out this morning but it was and the shipping is always v quick and smooth. Amazing coffee, great prices, brilliant flexibility (also v helpful and quick customer service), nice personal touches - what more could you ask for?

The customer is always right

My wife and I used to visit their cafe regularly, because of the decent coffee and reasonable prices.

Yesterday, after having made a joke to two fellow customers regarding the current obsession with Latte Art; we were approached at our table by a gentleman (I use the term loosely here).
Without introducing himself , he very seriously asked if I had just had a conversation with the Barrista. Apparently on hearing my flippant joke about the Latte Art, she had been deeply offended. I had to ask him who he was , and he explained he was one of the bosses.
He than said he wanted me to go over and apologise to her, despite the fact my comments were not made to her directly. I did go over and apologise but only after pointing out that his attitude was to say the least , over the top.

His astounding lack of customer communication skills were completely to blame for the loss of two customers. I do not blame the Barrista in the slightest for this. If she took my comments to heart , I am truly sorry for the misunderstanding.

The boss handled the issue in completely the wrong way, acting as though I had insulted the lady’s appearance, race , or family. I understand Rave take their coffee quite seriously, but if this is an example of how seriously they take customer loyalty; they may eventually find themselves sitting alone atop a mountain of beans( sustainably sourced of course).

Amazing

Last two orders I’ve left late and not ordered till Thursday/Friday but been on my last cup of beans. Customer service had both orders sent out the same day for me which was so helpful! Have now subscribed so I can find which flavour I like best. Managed to use two bags in a week it’s so good. Also really like the stickers you get, who doesn’t love a sticker!

What an amazing company

What an amazing company! This is our second order ( will be placing another for my son’s birthday later). I ordered yesterday, was slightly worried I had ordered the correct grind. Within minutes I received a reply. My order came today! The coffee is delicious. I will be ordering my second subscription later. Thanks so much!

Great coffee, excellent customer service and easy to pause subscription

Great coffee. I have a subscription which gives a different whole bean every month. Nearly all of them (2 1/2 years ) have been excellent and I was particularly surprised at how great the Swiss Water Decaff blend was ( I order this as an extra from time to time. I normally hate subscriptions where you accidentally end up with a lifetime supply of toilet roll or two huge bags of dog food for a small jack russell. But Rave email every month and say ‘Ready to Roast’ Just a reply to the email can pause or delay the subscription or add more. Response time about 20 minutes . Super easy. The coffee itself is delicious. I use a hand grinder when I’m feeling fancy ( or want a decaff) and a normal electric grinder otherwise. Coffee grinds really well and evenly. I occasionally try other beans but haven’t found anything I like better.

Fantastic Customer Service

I absolutely love the selection of coffees from Rave. I am currently working through them to find my favourite. On my second order I mistakenly ordered whole bean instead of grounds. I contacted the lovely Millie who not only handled the return but also sent out what I should have ordered in the first place at no extra cost. All coffees are delivered next day as well. Not often you come across such a customer focused business nowadays. Thanks again to Rave and Millie!!

Fantastic

Really quick delivery! I ordered a coffee bean container and bag of coffee to sample. They were with me the following day - excellent!

The vacuum container is really nice and plenty big for 1kg of beans.

Now, the coffee....you can definitely taste the difference between it and a cheaper bean. They are a bit more expensive, but if you appreciate good coffee, why not spend a little more?
