Consistently great coffee and just proved to be great at Customer Service too

I've been ordering coffee from Rave since 2019 since I was first introduced to them by my brother in law. Since then I've placed around 40 orders, all without any kind of hitch and always great coffee so one very happy customer.

I just wanted to highlight an incident today that really does show Rave in a great light. I opened my latest order to find that (for the first time this has ever happened) I've been sent the wrong coffee. I logged a contact form on their website and within 5 minutes of submitting the form an order had been created for the coffee I should have been sent and an email sent advising of same, no questions asked.

I think that's extraordinary service in the current climate and should be highlighted as such. I look forward to receiving my replacement and to placing many more orders with Rave in future.

Phenomenal

Just ordered my second batch of coffee beans from rave and suffice to say it will not be my last! Ridiculously fast delivery (I only ordered them yesterday!) and the quality of the coffee is incredible - both the caffinated and decaff. I've always drunk decaf begrudgingly before but both the Swiss water decaf and the Columbia el Carmen decaff are impeccable, makes for an absolutely delightful evening drink. The Guatemala Bosques de San Francisco is My favourite to date, such complex flavours I just adore it. Pricier than supermarket beans but unquestionably worth it!

Reputational damage

I (did) consider Rave one of the best roasteries in the UK. I write this as someone who wants Rave to be a continued success.

Alas, despite a shiny new hipster location the quality of their roasting is not reflected by the coffee they serve. A cup of coffee is one of the cheapest luxuries people can buy and first impressions are made via the coffee served. Ever since the change of location from Sterling Works, the Phoenix Way site consistently serves scoldingly hot coffee or coffee that tastes of little more than water, often both. Many, unlike me, may not complain, but they'll simply not return. Reputational damage.

A facilities manager may be required. There are two toilets on this site. One has had a broken toilet seat for over a month. Regularly, there are no towels to dry your hands.

I want to remain a fan of Rave thus would hope these relatively small details can be addressed.

Great coffee and customer service

Have used Rave a few times and enjoyed the coffee and the reasonable price. Had a problem last week with some pods and wrote to ask advice. There was still a problem but I was given an immediate refund, which I hadn't requested or expected, Excellent and prompt customer service - and coffee!

Best compostable capsules yet!!

I've been shopping around for compostable coffee capsules that are compatible with my nespresso machine for years now, and the ones from Rave Coffee are the best I've tried. I ordered for the first time the other day and they were roasted and delivered in record time. The value for money was excellent- Rave Coffee is possibly the cheapest I've tried, but their coffee is the freshest and nicest. A lot of the types were sold out, but the ones I ordered were incredible (especially the christmas one- fruity and delicious!!!). They clearly picked up that it was the first order on my account as they also sent along a handy little brew guide with tips for getting the best coffee. I've been drinking coffee with this machine and found out some tips I never knew, so thank you for this info! They also included a welcome leaflet giving some deets about the business, which was a cool touch. Looking forward to bulldozing my way through 100 capsules and ordering the varieties I haven't tried yet!! They're a sick little business and I'm buzzed to have found them!

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. Even I am a Rave customer for a year now, I had the worst experience. I’ve placed an order with a discount, and by some reason didn’t show up and I place another one to come next day. They charge me twice, once full price and another with the discount. I send them
Email to check what is happening, because my money was taken 2 times from account, and after few days they respond to me that I ve place the order. Instead to offer me a discount, they put me to pay the return and send it back, even if was not my fault with the duplicate order. Whatever, now I have to find another coffee supplier after all this terrible experience with their customer service. I am so disappointed.

Great coffee, excellent customer service

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Rave. The quality and selection of coffees are great, the subscription is easily flexible with handy emails going out several days ahead of the delivery which offer to reschedule/skip your order with literally 2 clicks, the beans are well-priced but best of all is their customer service. I've had a few issues now with my delivery disappearing after being delivered to the wrong address due to the postman reading the address incorrectly and each time I've contacted Rave they've sorted it out by resending the order (sometimes within minutes of my email).

Great coffee, top quality customer service.

Highly recommend gorgeous coffee

I found this website after a recommend and we are really pleased we did, the coffee is amazing great choice to choose from, we are enjoying trying them all as we go,
Delivery is quick and painless,
And their customer service is 10/10 shout out to Hayley who a credit to them,

My only recommendation would be to have plain boxes at Christmas or as an option so partners etc don't know what your ordering :)

Recurring order was set by default, beware!

Rave Coffee Beans bought as gift for Christmas as a one of, I never wilfully agreed to any recurring order but one was set up so instead of spending £17 on a gift I have now had £51 taken out of my PayPal account for coffee I didn't want. I ordered with out a Rave website account so the only way to disable this set up was via PayPal itself. This to me is divisive and a successful greedy attempt to sell more beans than customers actually want/need, don't buy from Rave until their default order settings have "recurring order" set to disabled!!! They need to refund me and come and collect there coffee beans from my work which is my delivery address so over Christmas I've been unaware they've been delivered.

Since my review Rave have corrected there ordering system so it no longer defaults to recurring order and they have apologised and refunded me for some of the coffee they've sent me so they've been very responsive to my comments and have sorted the issue out.

Decaffalissimo!! ♥️♥️

I've moved over to decaf as I was getting a bit jittery. They do lovely Colombian and Swiss Water numbers that mostly hit the spot as long as you get the brew right. When you do the coffee really sings. For me toffee, malt and some subtle dark chocolate notes. Just divine.

From a logistical perspective quick dispatch and good comms.

Highly recommended!

Poor customer service.

I have been with Rave for a few years and there coffee is pretty good. Unfortunately the customer service is not. They keep say that my payment car needs to be updated ,even though it's the same card I have had all year and never been a problem. Tried contacting them but to no avail, never answer my questions. Spoke to my bank they say there is no problem with my payment. Tried to update my card , but there site will not allow to put all my details in Once again tried to contact them and no reply. Now cancelled my subscription. There are other coffee sites out there

Great coffee but gift subscription glitchy

Rave came recommended and their coffee is delicious, but my experience has been patchy. They have some big glitches in their gift subscription set up. Firstly, any other items you or purchase at the same time as the gift subscription get delivered when the subscription starts. E.g. order someone some items (emg. Xmas day coffee pack and a airscape container) to open on Christmas day plus a subscription booked to start first week of January, and all the items will be delivered first week of January at the same time the subscription starts, rather than being sent straight away. Secondly, the gift subscription comes with no voucher or anything for you to give on Christmas Day/birthday etc. The best I can do is make my own or print out an email (and I don't have a printer so this is a pain). Customer services are very good when they reply but they are slow to do so. I'm still waiting for a reply 6 days later. Shame because I've had their coffee before and it's amazing, but the sales infrastructure around it seems to still need work. I am unlikely to buy a gift coffee subscription from Rave again.

Not impressed

Ordered Nespresso pods to try the coffee and none of them worked….. shame as I heard it was great coffee. To add insult to injury I have to pay to return the pods that they have changed and don’t work! Really? Not impressed.
