Failed to complete a deletion
Although I cannot fault the effort put in to do a deletion on my car the company failed to complete the deletion and have not refunded the £199 I paid for the work. They had four attempts to do the deletion that all failed. The car is a Kia Sportage diesel so I would avoid this company if you have that car.

As you mentioned, our technician visited you on four separate occasions. After completing full diagnostics and making multiple attempts, it became clear that the issue lies with the vehicle itself rather than with the service we provided. Unfortunately, this meant the deletion could not be completed.
Regarding a refund, as the problem is due to a fault with the vehicle and not our work, we are unable to issue a refund, particularly as all of the return visits were carried out free of charge.
We have successfully remapped Kia Sportage diesel models many times in the past and have never encountered this issue before, which further indicates that the fault is specific to your vehicle.
While we take your feedback on board, we have done our best to assist by offering multiple free return visits. A member of our team has also attempted to contact you to discuss the matter further but has been unable to reach you.
We remain more than happy to speak with you should you wish to get in touch. Our dedicated Customer Care team can be reached on 01280 816781.

I have had 3 cars done now by Remap Kings. And I am always happy with the results. Michael was great, very helpful and knowledgeable. I had my wife's mini done a couple of years ago and it felt great, had an Audi A3 done a few years back, again great. And just had my Volvo XC60 2.4D done, so far so good! The engine is way more responsive, gearbox feels much smoother. I do appreciate that with Diesels they tend to see bigger gains in Torque then BHP, especially with standard maps, but they are very good and I've never had any issues! So thanks again!

James is truly amazing
James is truly amazing. He came to remap my ECU on time. Very friendly service, I am happy with the service I received. The car feels totally different and James is sorting out a refund for the gearbox remap as it was not possible to carry out. I will definitely use their services again.

Waking up my s3
I would like too thank Dyral from remapkings for waking up my audi s3 ... the experience was so easy from the booking ,cost and the time keeping was on point ! Ashly arrived 10 minutes early & completed the work in 25 minutes. my only negative was, the work was carried out and I was presented with a disclaimer form with the phrase "A member of SGL holdings has advised me not to install this upgrade" at NO TIME did this occur, sadly Wasn't wearing my glasses, did not read the form &have apparently waived my rights under the consumer rights act 2015 I consider this unethical and sharp practice!
The product however has successfully removed the flat spots in the drivability of the car... more enjoyable & more what we expected of a cooper S!

Mercedes sprinter campavan.
Had my Mercedes sprinter based campavan remapped by Ashley yesterday and away for weekend today. Van runs very smoothly with plenty power when needed. Also informed my insurance company about remap and completely ok with it. No extra charge

Had Micheal come and do a remap on my Tiguan. He did a diagnostic test which showed no problems and then got straight on with job. No problems and car note has more power and pull. Very happy. Would recommend👍

They were supposed to do a full remap…
They were supposed to do a full remap of my van. After they were done I sent two emails asking if they could do extra work. I received no reply so I took my van to my local garage to have the speed limiter taken off which they were supposed to have done and was told the van hadn’t been remapped anyway!

Thank you for your review. We have reviewed your case internally and can confirm that the modified file was successfully loaded to your ECU on 24th June 2024, some 16 months ago, and the remap was completed.
You did not book or pay for a speed limiter removal which is why this service was not carried out.
Regarding your claim that you sent two emails requesting additional work, our records show only one email from you, received on 24th June 2024, the day of the remap, simply requesting paperwork. We have no record of any further emails or requests for additional work.
We do find it surprising that you have chosen to leave this review so long after the job was completed. Nonetheless, we have attempted to contact you twice by phone and left two voicemails asking you to call us so we can discuss your concerns but you have not responded.
Had my cooper S remapped to 260 bhp
Had my cooper S remapped to 260 bhp. After it was done, It had a deadspot in sport mode, it threw you back in the seat, then it was like there was no fuel. The technician came back out and checked it, and despite him agreeing it wasn’t right, he couldn’t find a fault. A week later He came back and reset it to the original map. Now the car seems like it has no turbo, before the remap if you floored it at 70, it roared and went like a mini rocket, now it has zero grunt and it about as quick as my old mini 1.6 td. So although a refund was given, minus their “admin fee”. I’ve been left with a very average car, it’s definitely NOT back to 189 bhp, seems more like a 140 minus the turbo. Not very happy. Only scored the 2 stars because the technician seemed like a good guy. Would never use them again after this, very very disappointed.
Follow up.
2 things. I returned your call 15 minutes after you rang, with no reply.
When your technician came to check the original fault, he agreed with me that is was not right, but could not find any fault codes either.
And the 2nd technician had not been in the car before it was mapped, therefore what he may think was ok, is definitely not as it was before the map.
So we’ll have to agree to disagree.

After your initial concerns were raised, we returned to remove the remap at your request and issued a refund (minus the standard processing fee, as outlined in our terms and conditions).
Following this, we received no further communication from you until we saw your review on Trustpilot. In response, we contacted you by telephone to discuss the situation and offered to return free of charge for a further visit to carry out full diagnostics and a visual inspection. We completed this visit earlier this week, found no fault codes, and during the test drive with our technician, your vehicle performed as expected.
We believe we have gone above and beyond to assist you, including multiple free of charge revisits, maintaining ongoing communication and issuing a refund.
We have also made every effort to stay in touch throughout the process, most recently just yesterday, when we called to check whether you were satisfied with the outcome, but unfortunately, there was no answer.
While we appreciate all feedback, we are confident that everything reasonably possible has been done to support you and resolve the matter fairly. We wish you all the best moving forward.
