Galway Repromed

The nurses and lab staff in Galway are honestly amazing these are the people you have the most contact with. They made a hard process a bit easier with a friendly smile and always took the time to explain anything I was unsure of. They were always friendly, professional and knew your story so you really felt they wanted the best for you.

Such a bad clinic

Such a bad clinic. You literally feel like you are on a conveyor belt, being on assed from person to person over a message portal. No co- ordination, no information or guidance, no empathetic or humane element. Starting to severely doubt the “expertise” of the experts who work there- they don’t seem to be in line with other fertility clinics in Ireland, quite concerning.

DO NOT use this clinic

DO NOT use this clinic . Worst most stressful clinic I have ever had two deal with . No support . Got transferred and then seen two doctors outside of this clinic that said shouldn’t of been transferred at that time . Run as far away from this clinic . The lies we were told was unreal . Never ever ever use this place . Save your money and go to a better clinic then this place they only like the cash .

Appointment was cancelled by clinical…

Appointment was cancelled by clinical after waiting 6 weeks, then another 3 weeks before I got rescheduled. It was a zoom call but link was not sent till after calling a few time past the appointment time. It was unorganised. Consultation was good.

Worst experience of my life

My experience here was an absolute nightmare, they started a procedure without doing all the test required then canceled the procedure after I ha done the injections, wanted money when I had already payed, on the day of the iui I was told they forgot to do bloods and it might be cancelled again, the lack of competency was astonishing, I was left bewildered at the amount of mistakes made and the sheer lack of compassion after they made these mistakes, during the procedure that I did eventually have done a nurse walked in, removed my mask and hat and began rubbing my head and face(during a pandemic) there was absolutely no reason why she was there, the stress alone had my in tears for weeks over what I endured here, I also had a specialist for 2 years whom I never met, I was charged 80 to speak to him on the phone but never met him, from the very beginning when I saw the lack of competency I should have walked away but instead I decided to ride it out and it was the sorryest thing I ever did, trying for a child is hard enough without haveing the people who are supposed to help and support u making so many mistakes that actually hinderd they entire process

Impersonal service

I understand due to Covid alot of changes had to be made but the portal messaging and lack of phonecalls or no phonecalls in our case has made the experience impersonal.

We had nothing but 5* treatment

We had nothing but 5* treatment with ReproMed Drogheda and Dundrum.
The consultant and admin staff in Drogheda always went above and beyond for us and kept us comfortable and were so welcoming.
Dr Salma was down to earth, approachable and always patient focused.
In Dundrum the treatment and care was amazing, the whole process from egg collection to transfer was smooth and we were kept informed throughout via our portal & regular telephone calls and check ins. Even after egg collection the embryologist provided excellent support and communication and at every opportunity took time to ask had I any questions.
This all happened during a global pandemic and national lockdown, restrictions were at the highest level which meant only female patients allowed into the clinic but the clinic really kept in touch and organised for my Husband to collect me after the procedure. I didn’t feel alone at all.
We would like to thank ReproMed for everything they did for us and thank you for making our dreams come true as we enter week 24 of our healthy pregnancy thanks to your help and assistance .

Still on our journey.

Even though we have not got a good outcome yet , the service we have gotten to date as been great. From the receptionist to the nurses,doctors and embryologist. They have been able to make us feel at ease.theyre always on hand to answer questions and are there to listen and reassure us.🥰

They listen to you ! You know your body best. I had a positve ending with my journey with this clinic. I'd recommend.

Excellent

Our experience with this clinic was fantastic. Everything was very well coordinated and all staff members were super kind and professional. Additionally, the results were better than expected, probably due to the expert handling, as we had had much worse results in another clinic before. A big thank you to the doctors, nurses, embryologists and receptionists!

Poor Communication

I found the use of the portal for communication very tiresome and it lacked the human element that is so often needed when dealing with fertility.

Good experience but some suggestions

Overall,I had a great experience in Repromed .Communication portal is very helpful as the replies are prompt .Staff is very kind ,especially the nurses .However ,I would like to mention that the doctors should discuss the scan results in detail with their patients. Also,I am not sure about the frequency of blood works in an ivf process ,but I would love to know in detail .This is because my blood tests were not done that frequently .

With regards to blood works our Medical Director Dr Hans is keen to ensure that our processes are comprehensive but also that they have no unnecessary add-on's. I signed up with Repromed and had my…

I signed up with Repromed and had my first consultation. The Dr was lovely and made me feel very at ease however no one at this stage had gone through costs / structure at this point. After my first meeting I got a call from The Pharmacy to tell me my medication was in even when I thought I had only had an initial consultation and had not yet officially been given the go ahead. The patient portal is very efficient but I would suggest at least one face to face meeting after the initial consultation so that things were outlined clearly. Also I was not aware the scan was an internal one so again more communication maybe by phone or zoom would be helpful other than that so far so good

My own personal journey has…

My own personal journey has unfortunately not been a positive one so far. Going through treatment like this is an exceptionally difficult process both emotionally and physically and the personal human touch is just missing. Communications is via a portal and often unclear or incomplete information is shared and often mo communication is shared which is even harder. Hopefully the future will look a little brighter.
