I had a pleasant experience working with Todd, and I wanted to make sure his hard work is recognized. He made the process of cancelling and adding a new policy to my account very smooth, acknowledged my questions, and listened to my long spiel about my reasons to cancel a policy.

There was a small system glitch when first attempting to update my policies, so Todd said he would reach back out the following morning, and he did! My policy updates were time-sensitive, so I greatly appreciate his efficient fulfillment of his promise—thank you, Todd!!

Some companies cannot uphold their end of an agreement, but I was not worried about Homebody. I feel this proves that Homebody is committed to ensuring customer satisfaction. I will for sure be a returning customer, as I have been happy with Homebody for the last 2 years.

Automatically signing u up for rent reporting. I never signed up for this subscription. I got a email saying g u are signed up and if u want to cancel u can . First of all I never signed up for this program.

This is got to be the least compromising and accommodating, money hungry, shady insurance company. Don't rely on them to help you out with anything, even for a simple prorated extension of the insurance. Absolutely garbage customer care.

I just want to say Connor did an amazing job and I really appreciate his time and effort to help me transfer my policy to my new apartment. I wish I could come across people like Connor, I haven’t had the best day today and he made it better. Thank you Connor

Payment issue that was not likely on my part -- since the card worked everywhere but through Homebody payment -- was troublesome, but Homebody handled the situation with grace and Connor Martellaro helped me easily renew my policy.

I had a very poor customer service experience with Homebody Insurance Agency, specifically with representative Connor Martellaro.
My issue involved repeated billing discrepancies and a lack of clear, consistent explanation regarding how charges were calculated compared to the terms presented at enrollment. I repeatedly requested a written breakdown of the billing cycle and how it aligned with the stated policy terms, but instead received general references to terms and conditions and links without a direct explanation addressing my specific dates and charges.
Throughout the interaction, my requests for escalation were not initially acknowledged, and I was redirected to phone support despite clearly requesting written communication only for documentation purposes. This made it difficult to properly resolve or verify the billing issue in writing.
Due to the lack of clear resolution and inconsistent explanations regarding billing timing and policy application, I have escalated this matter to the Virginia Bureau of Insurance for review of billing practices and disclosure concerns.
I am sharing this experience so other customers are aware of the importance of carefully reviewing billing terms and ensuring clear written confirmation of how charges will be applied.

Ordered a couch 10+ weeks ago and have received absolutely nothing—no shipment, no updates, no communication. Calls go unanswered, emails ignored.

Now I’m having to fight to get my money back through Affirm.

Completely unacceptable. Avoid this company.

There was an issue which affected my insurance from showing in the portal. I called and reached Jorge and he placed me on hold and resolved the matter in minutes. He even went ahead and emailed my leasing office for extra confirmation. I could not be more pleased with the excellent level of customer service I was provided.

Terrible service. On the phone for too long waiting for no one to pick up. My lease ended in Oct 2025 and I am still being charged $15 a month. I want a refund and my money back as no one picks up the phone as I am trying to cancel it. If this keeps going on I am going to call the police as I have now paid an extra $60 on top of the scam of insurance that is overrated anyways. This company just uses you to put money in their own pockets. Do not use this company. They do not care about you and just want to steal from you. Like I have waiting over 15 minutes on hold. No one followed back up with me. I want my refund, thinking about suing too. Wouldn't be surprised if they aren't answering the phone because they are too busy getting arrested for money laundering or some other fishy bullshit they are up to. What a joke.

I received excellent service from Luke today. I needed proof of insurance forwarded to my rental office. I’m a disabled Military Veteran, with a TBI. Luke forwarded everything to the rental office for me. Luke is the life saver in a storm. He’s professional, kind, respectful, patient, knowledgeable and put my mind at ease. Thank you Luke, I really appreciated your help today.

They are the worst. I had to have my insurance verified through them for my apartment rental, where they control which insurance you get. They make it so difficult to get any other insurance. they don't answer phone calls or emails. They keep rejecting insurance so to push you to buy their own insurance.

No outstanding great experiences, they charged me after I canceled. And when I called to cancel again… they were very short and rude. Cheap price when insurance is required. But nothing special about them

Even after your lease ends, they continue TAKING MONEY OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT. Terrible customer service and predatory business model. The company should be ashamed. I've been out of my apartment for 7 months now. I've lost over $100 to them for literally no reason. DO NOT USE THEM FOR RENTERS INSURANCE

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Their customer service is terrible. The agents who answer the phone are disrespectful and lack empathy and competence. Once your policy ends, be sure to cancel otherwise they will automatically renew it and TAKE IT OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT without authorizing it. You will of course be blamed for this. The agents are dismissive and will hang up in your face. Super unprofessional and unreliable company. Use others for homeowner's insurance!!!
