Have bought a number of things - Ercol sideboard and rocking chairs, dressing table, mirror, hall stand, small cabinet, cd shelves, bookshelves. All great - beautifully restored and much nicer and better quality than anything at a comparable price in new furniture shops. Also like the ethos of the business and that it has an admirable social purpose.

The wardrobe I bought was exactly as described both in words and pictures. Ordering was straightforward with smooth process from order to delivery. The delivery was excellent as were the gentlemen who brought it. I would have no hesitation in recommending Restored Furniture. I will certainly buy from them again when the need arises.

Great customer service

I very rarely write reviews unless a company is remarkable. I’m delighted with my restored wardrobe and the service I received from the moment I contacted them to ask about delivery options through to the delivery today. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent communications. Now I have a gorgeous solid mahogany wardrobe for less than the price of a ghastly chipboard self-assembled one. Amazing.

I came across Restored Furniture when looking for some bedroom furniture. It looked like a perfect marriage; beautifully restored furniture by people being taught useful skills whilst restoring their own self-esteem.

The order went well as did sorting out the delivery. Until the delivery day itself when the incredibly rude delivery driver tried to extract additional money to fulfil a pre-paid for job. The restoration of the set of drawers was inconsistent; decorative lips had been left in a rough and unfinished state.

I raised both issues with Restored Furniture; they were promptly and extremely apologetic about both matter. However, a promised partial refund for the delivery charge never materialised. As regards the drawers, I did say that I knew enough to be able to deal with the poor finish myself, and didn't expect perfection from restored furniture, nevertheless having spent the better part of £400, I wasn't expecting to do some of the work myself.

I would think long and hard before using them again, which is a real shame.

Good customer service and a worthwhile cause. The chest was wrapped very carefully and delivery excellent. The workmanship is good. The ONE downside is the materials used are very powerful and the fumes are not going quickly so I’m unable to use it yet. As it’s a good cause I do not want to complain but the use of non toxic paint or products would have easily earned them 5 stars.

A very lovely piece of furniture which looks fine in my bathroom but the base needed (and received) a couple more coats of lacquer
