Arrived in Istanbul on Tuesday 19 March, the operation was scheduled for the next day, in the early afternoon so the doctor recommended me to have a light breakfast no later than 7.30 am.
We went to the hospital at around 11 am because another girl operated a few days before had to unpack. In the meantime they assigned me the room. Then the nurses arrived to take my blood samples, the anesthesiologist came to ask me questions and after him another doctor who asked me further questions, all within an hour or less. I wait for more or less another hour and then finally Dr Karaca arrived! First he unpacked the other girl so we could also see the removal of the pads, he wanted to do it in front of us just to show us that there is nothing to worry about and this has calmed me a lot! Then he took photos of my nose and he did the simulation, I explained him what I wanted, I showed him some photos, I asked him how long the intervention would last, how it would be carried out etc etc. but I didn't have much to ask him because I trusted him completely and I must say that he has the ability to put you immediately at ease because he’s always smiling!
After two minutes the nurse arrives to take me to the operating room and I didn't even feel anxious anymore, I was very calm. On the way they gave me a cocktail, maybe a sedative or something related to anesthesia.
We arrived in the operating room and after 5 seconds ... bye bye! 😴
The operation lasted about two and a half or so hours.
When I woke up they were taking me back to my room. They put me in the bed and gave me ice to put in my eyes. I remember feeling great, I immediately wrote to my boyfriend and my mother. I held the ice for about twenty minutes and then I felt too energetic and I took it off and I swear I was feeling really well in fact I called a thousand people all cheerful and I don't even remember what I said but I was happy 🤣
Since that time I have been fine, zero bruises and very little swelling. In the hospital they prepared food for me (because I am vegan and I also suffer from allergies), they were very kind! The next morning the doctor came to visit me, he gave me a brochure with all info post-surgery and he prescribed the medicines to take and then they took me back to the hotel. I slept because I needed it, but I was also very active right away. I'm just telling you that the first thing I did was ordering me a pizza for dinner because I was super hungry!
In the following days I felt only a little discomfort given by the pads (which in any case they are the new-generation perforated silicone pads from which it is possible to breathe easily immediately, in fact I breathed from my nose at night) and nothing more.
After 5 days I removed the chalk and the pads. This was the only thing a bit painful for me, but it's really 2 seconds! In my case the doctor told me to put pressure on the back of my nose because it was swollen.
He also explicitly asked me to come back for a visit, if possible, in the third month and even later, because according to him it is the most important month for the evolution of the nose and he said he will be available for possible retouches / punctures of cortisone (for example) in case they should be need, all included of course. This thing gave me all the security I needed because I know I am followed even in the post-operative period and I know I can trust my surgeon.
The next day I took the plane safely to go home and everything went well. After another 5 days I removed the plasters by myself (it was super easy). I can say that I am very satisfied right now. My problem was mainly the nostrils and the columella. Dr Karaca managed to correct the defect I had without upsetting my face and I add that I breathed very well right away. ❤️

General considerations, the hospital was super clean and cozy, the nurses and the staff we’re all super kind and nice. And an important thing is that the doctor’s assistant keeps writing you in the next months to see if everything’s alright and he’s always available if you have doubts or questions. I would do it again? Absolutely, it was the best decision of my life and I choose the best doctor!

I recommend it to everybody!! They are very honest, they are always available for everything. I love them!
