The lady I saw in Nantwich couldn't have been more disinterested. I had booked a gait analysis and she didn't even suggest that I did this. This is because I walk and do not run. I wanted something stricutred for my high arches and wide feet. I am a size 4.5-5 and she sold me a pair of 6.5 running shoes. Tried them at home and they didn't feel right, but my husband persuaded me that it was because they were new. I walked 14 miles in them a couple of weeks after.......They have made my little toes turn black and are obsolete to me, having spent over £100. I did my own research and found a pair of Brooks wide fit trainers and they are perfect. From Northern Runner who were more helpful from miles away. I do believe that gait analysis applies whether you are walking or running. If you are a walker, please do not waste your time. Thanks.

I went to the Running Bear in Alderley Edge because I have major problems with my feet and my podiatrist advised me to get trainers to try to alleviate the pain. The staff at the shop were so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for Shaun who helped me to choose the right trainers. He was so patient and offered invaluable expertise. I initially spoke to Matt on the phone when I rang to see if the shop could help me and he was very reassuring and I knew it was the right place to go.
