I found the experience - OK, but it took much longer than in previous years. The process started in the summer of 2022 (July/ August I believe). We received our claim from HMRC via CATAX on 30th March 2023, over 6 months.

The payment was incorrect on the last R&D claim, previous years i only paid the 20% on the money i received, this last time you charged me 20% on the tax credits as well??
