500wh fireproof battery bag

Very happy with the bag purchased from Safe-Tech. After watching the video posted by Adam Savage about the missing safety components and poorly made non OEM 18650 batteries I had to make sure mine were stored in a safe place. The item was well priced and is of very high quality. It also came with additional dividers and pouches. Delivery was prompt with email updates. I will be using Safe-Tech from now on.

However, when reaching out to them, everything was resolved quickly and without fuss.

Too easy to mark a company down for faults beyond their control, hence five stars here.

Well worth the money

I purchased the Cube package. I was amazed how good the service and the products were. A little fiddly pairing the sensors with the cube. The instructions could be made more user friendly. However, once they were paired and working, I then bought two more motion sensors to complement the system. I would recommended this company

I am quite pleased with SAFE-TECH

I am quite pleased with SAFE-TECH. I did have a problem, but they resolved it. Here’s the story;

I bought a CUBE based security system for my workshop. It includes a couple physical contact sensors, that I fitted to a door and a window. It also came with a vibration sensor. That was faulty, but they replaced it free of charge fairly quickly. That system worked very well. I manage it using their app on my Android phone. This is the main reason I bought their system? I wanted a security system that I can manage remotely, i.e. when on holiday. It sends alerts etc when / if any door/window is opened. I can then silence the alarm remotely – helps to avoid neighbour hassles 😊

I then bought a Passive Infra Red (PIR) sensor, so that if anyone did enter the workshop (through the roof etc) they would be detected. That also works fine.

Just to summarise how easy this has been to set up. In some ways it’s too simple? The instructions are straightforward. You “pair” them, and add the new sensor as an accessory, and that’s it. Simple.

OK, here’s where I did have a problem.
The CUBE does include a siren, which would be fine inside a house to alert you that someone had entered, and it might dissuade an intruder, a little, but I wanted a really loud siren. Something that would rattle an intruder’s ears (a lot) and wake up neighbours (in case I was on holiday).

HESTIA does have such a siren. It’s called a Dual Power Siren. It’s really Triple Powered? It has an internal (sealed) battery. It also comes with an external mains powered plug. It also has a solar panel, so you could set it up, and power it totally separately. I did not do that I just use the internal battery and AC power input. But here’s the problem;

Their instructions and Youtube don’t tell you how to integrate it with the CUBE. They only explain how to connect it to their “Control Panel”. I chased them (a lot) and within a couple of working days one of their engineers helped me via WhatsApp. Note. Don't be put off by their phone always going to recordings. It's annoying. Instead, I found using email to their support email worked best.

It’s all working now. I am exceptionally pleased.

A note here for any Security SME or Techies; There’s a lot more capability with their systems that they don’t advertise? For instance the Dual Power Siren has output connections for Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC). Problem is they don’t include the 3 Pin PCB Connectors, but you can get them from Amazon etc for pennies. I bought the 3 Pin Connectors, but I have not actually connected them up. I was not too sure if I could simply push/insert the connectors, or if by doing that I might crack the PCB (it sits out of sight below a panel). But I do think that HESTIA’s products have a huge amount more capability that they could open up to the technical enthusiast?

Vape alarm 👎

The vape alarm was delivered reasonably quickly. Managed to get it installed ok but the instructions for use were quite vague. It would not connect to their app and only flashes, no sound at all. It was quite expensive to purchase and has been a disappointment. To be fair though i haven't reported this to them but I won't be buying another one.

I'm happy with the service and the dealing I got from the safetech. I wanted a good intruder system that did the basics, and provided good security. Speaking with the service team helped me get exactly what I was looking for.
