Unfortunately I never received the confirmation email during the Bank holiday weekend. But Mary was so kind and open the store for me on Tuesday.
However the Wandle one was in a different keg.
I would have loved to get the original keg but fully understand supply might be an issue.

I've drunk the Wandle Pale Ale in pubs and loved it so brought a keg for the Jubilee weekend. It's a lovely easy to drink brew, recommended. Keg arrived a bit bashed but poured OK.

Great beer as always. Delivered promptly.

Sambrooks junction bitter is my favourite by a country mile I don’t really want everyone else to know about it in case it sells out

Impressed that someone was making Russian Stout again. I was in the Lytton Arms at Knebworth with some Beer Guide writers, when the landlord brought up what he said was the last crate, years ago. The old boys treated it with real reverence, and several paid silly ammounts for little bottles of the extremely rich, and rather rummy, viscous liquid.

Just happened to look it up on a whim many years later, after the sad demise of even Gold Label into a mere shadow of the rich and very strong brew it used to be. Even Carlsburg Special seems to have been diluted, though it retains some flavour and creaminess. Very pleased to find you were now making your own, so had to give it a try.

Very impressed with the care taken to design a reliable strong shipping box. So many times i've had gift beers go astray or 'get broken' in transit, with other shippers.

The nearest beer i've been getting, to your Russian stout, has been Dragon Stout, which takes a lot of beating. Guinness Export is too 'burnt toasty' afterburning the tongue; Dragon is sweeter without much bitterness or burn. Sambrook's is right in the middle for creamy mellowness: not too sweet, or fizzy, and just the right hoppy, toastiness to keep one struggling not to drink it all at once! That's probably the only thing that should give it an 'adult rating'. It slips down so well for such a strong brew, I hope irresponsible youths don't discover it, and lead to it being diluted out of all character, like the barley wines before it.

I was expecting a bit more winey/rummy note like the old ones, but it may be that was just from them being in their bottles on the lees a very long time.

I can see this having a regular place with a Pieminister pie or two in future.

Didn't get full marks as the website still had Yuzu Yu on as a choice (which I bought) but it was no longer available, so they let me choose some other replacements from the driver on the day, and also threw in 6 free cans as a compensation (so that turned out okay). Service was very good by the delivery driver, polite, happy etc', but no text or e-mail to say what day/time it was arriving, luckily we were still in when it did. Beers all tasted great as usual.
