Scammers beware

The first time I did business with Save Gadget, it was fine. However, the second time I did business with them, I didn't agree because they offered me a lower price than agreed upon, and they said my device was not in good condition. I knew it was okay because I only used it at home, so I asked for my device to be returned, and they didn't respect my decision. They gave me another new offer, and I didn't accept it. I asked for my device again, and in exchange, they sent me a check with the initial quote; without respecting the repeated times, I asked for it to be returned. What can I think as a customer?

As I read the reply, it said after the second opinion, the company honored the initial quote, and it was not valid because they offered a second price, and I asked again to return my device. Finally, they changed the price the third time and sent me the check without asking me anything.

Be ready that they will price your phone much lower than they quote you. It took weeks to evaluate the product that is traded in. There is no process established to allow seller to agree or disagree on the final trade-in price. When I did not agree to the final price, I had to contact support. Support sent the phone back for 2nd opinion and no idea how long that would take. I am still waiting to get my phone back. If you are trading in an iPhone, you are better off with Apple.

What a find this company is! I was able to sell my Samsung Galaxy mobile without any issues.

The quote for my phone on the website was $277. When they received the phone and sent me an email they would only send a check for $246. The phone was as I described mint condition and unlocked, correct storage. We only used it as a hotspot. I do not recommend this website.

Bait and switch! Sent my iphone in with a quote of $169 due to a cracked back, They just sent an email lowering the offer to $50 stating there was a cracked front screen. There is no info on how to not accept the offer and whether there it will cost me to have it shipped back. I asked for photos so we’ll see if that happens. Very disappointed.

Note: I received a reply to my email and was later provided zoomed in photos of small dings in the corners. While there were legitimate wear in the front corners, I don’t think that warranted a markdown to $50 since a front screen is easier to replace compared to the back and the dings are barely noticeable. I asked how to have my phone returned to me. In the end, I was able to negotiate a higher offer which I think was fair and saved me some inconvenience. These are the facts as I know it. Be sure to carefully examine your phone for very minor issues and take closeup photos before shipping.

Tried to drastically reduce what they offered from the estimate they had previously given. I was able to increase the offer, but had to bargain. I doubt that I would use them again.

Sent them a barely used phone with screen savers and a case still on it, no scratches or damage. I have detailed pictures of the phone, they knocked it down and took off half the agreed upon value. Never received any communication that they were knocking the price in half and giving me the opportunity to take the phone back and get the real value from a real company. Once they have your phone, you're screwed and if they knock down the value, you'll never see the money or your phone again. I am feeling completely ripped off! I could have walked into Costco and gotten more.

This company keeps having this service contact me to take this down. This is a true and valid review. They have so many bad reviews, perhaps they should just do better!

SaveGadget exceed my expectations with their honestly and speed. I got a higher payout than expected for my old iPad, and the payment was quick. it's rare to find a company that keeps its promises.

Was paid what I was quoted. Fast payment through PayPal although I was not aware of the fee that PayPal would charge as it was like $19. Use Zelle to avoid this fee.

SaveGadget's customer service was very helpful throughout the entire process. I got paid quickly and the price they offered was better than what I found elsewhere. I'll be recommending them friends and family!

They lived up to their promise. I have used other sites for buying used electronics only to have them promise a price, then fabricate a reason to offer less. Not this group!

If something seems to good to be true, it probably is.. They gave me a quote for $215 for my 2 year old phone that was always in a a case with a screen protector and had no visible defects that I could determine. Once received, they noted a scratch by the charging port and screen and devalued the payout to $141. Figured if I refused the offer, they'd charge me to return it so I grudgingly accepted it.
Never again, I'll just save it as a spare, cash in to Best Buy, or give it to a charity. (UPDATE: After reading some of these reviews, I guess I didn't do too bad, but still feel bait/switch is how they make their $$)

I was asked to update this review by TrustPilot on 9/13 which said I must reply or the bad review would possibly be deleted.. For TrustPilot I used a different email than the one I ordered the return from so I guess there's a question.. Not much trust here either for actual reviews, I won't waste my time with a review site when a vendor can have a bad review removed or not respond to a post.

BTW: I already replied to a link THEY (Savegadget) sent me as a follow-up (with the Order #39129) and have received ZERO response. (Not that I expected any) Still stand by it, won't use this service again and would steer others away also.
