Schoolwear Scotland Avis 

This is a scam business, they take money from you, don't have any actual clothes and never email you back, when they do it is 1 line emails with an excuse. Waited 9 weeks and nothing, no clothes, no refund. No explanation. Company takes money then liquidates around Aug time. This has been going on since at least 2019, they have numerous "clothing" companies registered too. As far as i can see they have been doing this for years. I wish i read reviews but it was suggested as a supplier from the school. I can't believe this is allowed to happen and they are still able to operate. Its a racket and it's been reported to the bank, ombudsman and trading standards. I will be contacting the schools and council also to make them aware of this company and all their associated companies. So disappointed and have had to buy a full new uniform. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!

Ordered 4 weeks ago, and called them, the man said he will send out the uniforms but never received them. Calling them today, they don't pick up the phone, it is frustrating they are tricking you like this.

Worst company to have ever existed. My son had been getting hassle from school to get his correct uniform. The school advertised schoolwear scotland to buy from. I'd ordered the blazer on 9th of June. No blazer yet no money back, response was disrespectful at first so I gave some disrespect back as I'm not taking that from no-one. Now they know that I can answer back they've stopped responding to my emails. I'm going to try and get them replaced as the schools uniform provider they'll lose a good contract but then that's they're own fault for being such scammers.

Called this morning regarding Cubs jumpers after another shop in Paisley told me you can only buy them online or from a shop in Edinburgh. SET had the 2 sizes I required and held them for me till I got to the shop. Can’t thank Hazel enough for her great customer service today.

I can’t believe they are trading. Placed an order online in August 2021 still haven’t received it, asked for a refund last month I’m still waiting for my money. Worst experience ever

Avoid these criminals at all costs, they repeatedly lied to me and still have my money to this day, their customer service is disgraceful and they should be closed down. I have read so many terrible reviews that this company have taken so much money and not delivered any items, to me that’s theft, can’t believe they have not been shut down!!

Possibly the worst service I have ever experienced. Blazer ordered on 2nd Sept, cash left my bank account on 3rd Sept. Radio silence ever since, no delivery, no response to emails and phone not picked up until today. I spoke to the rudest man I have ever had the misfortune to communicate with who decided it was my fault as I jad ordered a ridiculous size for a high school pupil. I had ordered a size 6 for my daughter however he claims this is actually a size 9/10. If that is the case why did he not call/email me to discuss as opposed to sitting on my cash for 9 weeks and doing nothing. He has said he will refund me but it will take 10 working days to come through, I have my doubts however could not ask any more as the lovely man hung up the phone on me.

UPDATE Refund not received and told to contact my bank and raise a charge back query. This is down right fraud and I will be taking this further.

Very disappointed - ordered at the end of July and still no order. I have emailed and phoned on several occasions and been told there was a delay, issue with stitching, the products would be delivered etc - nothing has arrived. Will be contacting the bank for a refund.

My daughter had problems finding brown school socks for her child returning to school. I finally found them on Schoolwear Scotland website (based in Paisley) and placed an order online on 28/8/21. They phoned me shortly afterwards to say they weren't in stock so I asked for a refund. I emailed them several times about the refund and they finally replied to say it was actioned. 2 weeks later it still wasn't showing on my account so I emailed again and was told to contact my bank! I did and they advised I could apply to be refunded through Chargeback. I would need to complete forms and it could be a lengthy process so I didn't bother for such a small amount. I contacted Stripe (Schoolwear's payments provider) who told me to contact Schoolwear Scotland so I gave up. The fact that it's only £4.99 means it's no big deal but I pity parents who have paid a lot of money and are facing the same problem. I wish I had read the story in the Daily Record about parents being let down as well as the awful reviews on Trustpilot before ordering - I would have told my daughter just to buy the alternative fawn socks locally. I've reported this company to Trading Standards and several consumer advice organisations.

Wish I had read the reviews before ordering! No order, no refund and no communications. No indication that item wasn’t in stock when ordering and money was taken from my account even though they couldn’t fulfil it.

Ordered uniform 6 weeks in advance, was told it would take 3 weeks to arrive. The school term started and no uniform arrived. No phone call or email to inform me. Just a message on their Facebook saying orders wouldn’t be fulfilled then deactivated their Facebook. Weeks have passed and still no uniform or refund. The phone is off the hook and emails are ignored. Still chasing a refund. Absolute sham of a company. Surprised no one has set the place on fire. A lot of angry customers! DO NOT TRUST THIS MOB

Only giving 1 star because that's the lowest it will allow! Scam artist taking peoples money weeks ago and promising delivery of uniforms before school starts. Then when you eventually talk to him he admits he doesn't have stock to supply you but still advertising on fb 3 days ago that he could take school uniform orders!!!!
When questioned by people on fb he deletes the page! Promises refund but im still waiting!!!

Wouldn’t even give 1 star but that’s the lowest you can give. Absolute shambles of a company! AVOID at all costs. Ordered 6 weeks ago and still no order, they cut the phone lines off so you can’t contact, don’t answer messages or emails. Went to the shop to find out no orders arriving in time for school. Total scam artist!!! Advertising on Facebook last week for more orders but can’t fulfil the ones ordered months ago. The owner gives every excuse in the book & is a compulsive liar. DO NOT USE!!!!!

Ordered nursery uniform 3 weeks ago was told 2 weeks now I'm told not going to be in for week or so but took my deposit OK Don't use them

Terrible service!!! Ordered an item 6 weeks ago and still not received. Kept being fobbed off re timescales and now just being ignored so I will be going to the shop in person tomorrow and demanding a refund!!!! What an absolute sham!!! DO NOT ORDER unless you want to wait forever and are happy to be lied to!!!!!

Absolutely shocking service (or total lack of it) at Schoolwear Scotland. Take your money and send wrong items then lie to you about when new items will arrive. Tell you they’ll phone you and then don’t bother. As long as they have the payment then they don’t care. Avoid at all costs if you want what you paid for.

Placed an order in June. Called at the end of July to check as we have not received the order. Had to call a few times over the course of 2 weeks and have been told a couple of times the order had been “forgotten” and promised delivery dates that have come and gone. Called them Sunday after being told that would be hand delivered this weekend and was told we *might* get them the next day. Terrible service and communication. Staff are surly, unprofessional and unhelpful - particularly the male owner. Definitely steer clear.

Ordered school dresses from Schoolwear Scotland for my two daughters. Took quite a while to arrive but good service overall.

AVOID. ordered and didn't recieve items. many weeks of phone calls and visit to the shop and still no items, refund or even apology. Rude and obnoxious "owner" who took weeks to refund after many failed promises of doing so. check companies house, they are about to get wound up. AVOID
