Always a left happy and satisfied!

Again... service at it's best! Silvermine is my go to for all Japanese pokemon products for the simple reason of, great service with hassles, product always arrive in top condition. The shipping has always got me, as I never pay for next day delivery yet there it is, the next day when ordered early enough, which saves on paying for the fast delivery service. I have now used these guys everytime for my import products and always will, from pokemon to One piece. It's a shame I live so far from them, otherwise I'd like to go and thank them personally for their service.

What a great company

What a great company! Great customer service who go above and beyond and really make you feel valued. A mistake had occurred however that was immediately remedied with a fair resolution and a quick one! I will definitely place many more orders with these as I already have done after the great customer service I have received. Keep up the great work guys! Thank you again.

This company/seller are fantastic, I tell you not.
I've ordered a few times from them and nothing but excellent customer service. All my items have come when stated, a problem I did have it was fixed extremely quickly with no hassle. With that experience you will use time and time again.
Would definitely recommend using thos company/seller.

Brilliant deal

delayed shipping time

My delivery took a bit longer than the 2-3 days the site stated. While the delay from a weekend release makes sense, it would have been better if that was mentioned on the site from the start.

Damaged item sent – seller refused to acknowledge fault

I purchased a sealed Pokémon 151C booster box for my collection. When it arrived, the outer box was visibly damaged, with a crushed corner and torn shrink wrap — completely unacceptable for a sealed collector’s item priced at £105. The packaging was solid, so the damage clearly occurred before dispatch.

When I raised this with Silvermine, they refused to recognise it as a defect, claiming that “standard trading card definitions” do not require mint condition unless requested at checkout. That’s not how UK consumer law works. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality and as described, and the condition of the packaging matters for collectible items. I should not have to request basic quality assurance in a note.

Only after quoting the law multiple times did they agree to refund me — but they continued to deny responsibility and acted like they were doing me a favour. Their own return policy also misstates the law, offering only 14 days for returns and mentioning admin/restocking fees even for defective items.

I’ve reported their conduct to Citizens Advice and Trading Standards, as consumers deserve better.

Buy from them only if you’re willing to risk receiving damaged goods with no upfront accountability.

IN RESPONSE TO THEIR REPLY
1. They downplayed the issue
Despite visible damage to a sealed product (crushed corner, torn shrink wrap), they initially denied it was defective. They claimed I should have left a note if I wanted “mint condition” — something unreasonable when buying a sealed collectible at full price.
2. They reframed the disagreement
In their Trustpilot response, they wrote that “we were unable to reach an agreement regarding the return arrangements” — implying I was being difficult. In fact, I only asked for what I am legally entitled to: a return with costs covered, or a partial refund if I chose to keep the item.
3. They imply their refund was generous
The refund is being portrayed as goodwill, when it is in fact a legal obligation under UK consumer law for faulty goods. Covering return postage is not optional — it’s required.
4. Customer focus seems performative
Their claim of reviewing policies feels like an attempt to appear responsive without admitting any actual wrongdoing. A collector shouldn’t need to request “mint condition” for sealed product to arrive undamaged.



Bottom line: I appreciate the eventual refund, but I’m disappointed by how the situation was handled — with deflection, vague reassurances, and a lack of accountability. I expect better transparency and respect for collectors and consumer law.

Update: After processing the item refund, they failed to reimburse my return postage. Only once I chased them did they admit it, calling it an “oversight” — but in earlier emails they never asked for my details, so it clearly wasn’t forgotten.
