I have been using SM for +3 years for a…

I have been using SM for +3 years for a medical negligence case. I think I have had something like 7 case handlers now , they have been so slow to move the case along that they almost ran out of time. Please consider carefully if you’re willing to be passed from one person the next. They have taken so long that one of our experts retired.

Absolutely shocking service

Absolutely shocking service. Andrea sanders has been trying to get the rest of her trust fund since August of 2025. The solicitor of the trust fund will NOT answer any of her calls whatsoever even the manager Adam will not answer any neither. The solicitor only sent the closing down letters just before Christmas then went on holiday leave, AND quess what SHE still won't answer any phone calls. My mate lost her mum in September and she told them she needed that money for her funeral, yes fair enough they sorted some of it out for her but not to cover full funeral so she has had to borrow money. Their is loads of phone calls recorded since August 2025. Them promising her they would ring her back, QUESS what NO PHONE CALLS BACK! Absolutely horrendous service. PLEASE STAY AWAY YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO BEG FOR YOUR MONEY!!!! IT SHOULDNT TAKE THIS LONG OVER 6 MONTHS TO CLOSE A TRUST FUND DOWN. YOU ARE TRYING TO ROB HER OF HER OWN MONEY. ANDREA HAS BEEN TOLD LIES AFTER LIES AFTER LIES AND STILL NOTHING GETS DONE!! THEY SHOULD GET PUT ON SOME COURSES TO ANSWER THE PHONE AND STOP TELLING LIES TO THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! ANDREA SANDERS

Terrible experience

Terrible experience, I had to constantly chase for updates. I even got updates by speak to the court and Simpson millar apparently didn’t now about the updates. No organisation, just everything about my claim was terrible. Told me to do certain things without explaining what it meant. My solicitor was changed 5 or 6 times and never got updated about it, I’d stay away from these. Never would use these again for anything. Just horrific experience. 3 years of dragging feet and constant headaches.

First Class !

I cannot recommend my solicitor Georgina Emsley highly enough. She has supported me through a very lengthy and complex case with unwavering professionalism, kindness and patience throughout. Communication was excellent — emails were always answered promptly, and she was consistently available at the end of the phone when I needed reassurance or clarity.
What truly set her apart was her ability to combine absolute professionalism with genuine warmth and humanity. She made me feel not just like a client, but like someone whose best interests truly mattered, almost as though I had a trusted friend in my corner. So grateful for a solicitor who genuinely cares


I cannot thank Mariya Gocheva enough for everything she has done for me during my childcare proceedings. This has been one of the most stressful and emotional times of my life, and Mariya has supported me every step of the way with such kindness, patience, and understanding.

Road Traffic Accident

After my son had a terrible accident in 2022, the Police recommended Simpson Millar to deal with our case.
We met Mark Howarth, who visited us in the numerous hospitals/neuro rehabs over the 3 years our son was poorly. Mark was very professional, caring and nothing was too much trouble, and he went above and beyond to help and also keep us informed.

Please read, this the true Simpson Millar

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Simpson Millar Solicitors. After four years, my case was ultimately dismissed due to a lack of evidence and poor-quality specialist reports. This outcome was incredibly frustrating given the amount of time invested.

Throughout the entire four-year period, I was constantly chasing for updates and progress. Communication was very poor, and there was no sense of continuity — I had approximately 12–13 different case handlers, which made the process chaotic and disorganised.

The handling of my case caused me a great deal of unnecessary stress and anxiety. I never felt properly supported or informed, and the service fell well below what I would expect from a professional legal firm.

Due to the unacceptable level of service, I am now referring Simpson Millar to the Legal Ombudsman. I would not recommend this firm to anyone seeking reliable, competent legal representation.
