I have just had to cancel my bank card after finding out that this is a scam company. No book arrived. Avoid !!!

Ordered a book a couple of months ago.

Still hasn't arrived, no payment for the book was taken, however I have had a couple of fraudulent transactions in the last week. Having read some of the other reviews, it seem that this website is a total scam site.

Innocently purchased two books from this website.
My alarm was raised when the books didn't arrive. I checked my bank account to see if the payment ever left my account. No payment left for the books however over £500 in separate transactions to various companies had. I had to contact the fraud department at my bank to claim the monies lost.
Do not use this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I purchased a product weeks ago on next day delivery. No payment was taken. The following day I looked at reviews on trust pilot and 100% were reporting the company for card fraud. I contacted my bank and changed my card details to stop them using my card.

14 days later I received a call today from my bank informing me someone has tried to pay credit card bills and take finance from Tesco Finance using my name and card details. I advised the bank that I suspected exactly who it was but there is nothing they can do except advise for me to share on here and social media.

DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAM CON ARTISTS! CANCEL YOUR CARD!!!!!

Bought a book, no book arrived, no money taken but will have to block my card.

This website should not even recieve one star. It is a fraudulent website. I have cancelled my bank card so they cannot take money out. It is awful that people can do this and be so dishonest, especially when fooling innocent people who just want to buy a book. This needs to be reported.

FRAUDULENT COMPANY do not use! Luckily I cancelled my card before they took money. Thank god.

Thieves and scam artists. Fraudulent use of my card details within 2 days of ordering a book I never received. Avoid at all costs

No book received They have tried to use my Apple ID to order something on line and I am trying to stop it going through. This organissation is engaged in widespread fraud.

I purchased a book on 5 January. It didn't arrive and so I sent an email, but got no reply. I then read all the reviews on here and have had to cancel my debit card. Fortunately no money was taken from me, but I think it's better to be on the safe side given other people's experiences.

CANCELLED MY CARDS WITH NEW ONES ISSUED. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. REPORTED TO ACTION FRAUD UK. WEBSITE NOW DOWN. LOOK UP SMYTHS BOOKS LIMITED ON COMPANIES HOUSE WEBSITE.GOING TO REPORT THE DIRECTOR TOO.

FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD!!! Just purchased a book. Payment never taken. No email confirmation, no delivery. Just after a month £930 stolen out of my bank account. Unauthorised payments taken from online companies such as just eat, uber, hotel bookings, argos, apple store, on the 11 Jan. Reported to my bank who are working with the police.

DO NOT USE, this company will use your card fraudulently, I can speak from experience.
Purchased a book on the 7th Jan, payment never taken, fraudulently payments started being taken from online companies on the 14th Jan, Next direct was one.
Total payments taken was in excess of £400, they must have been hungry as they also tried justeat.
Bank blocked card and returned all payments thankfully.

Much the same as everyone else. Order placed. No sign of books and payment pending. Their website is now 'undergoing maintenance' and has been for days hence me stumbling across these reviews. Will be cancelling my card. Frustrating as the website looked legit, especially with the padlock....

Again order placed. nothing delivered and no further contact 5 days later. i have cancelled my card to be sure.

Avoid - I was waiting over a week for my book and even emailed them to asking for a status update and then I stumbled upon the company on here today and saw all the reviews. I have cancelled my card and thankfully it doesn't appear that any money has been taken, sorry this wasn't the case for most people.

I ordered 3 books, after around 1 week, I then received an email saying 'Order failed', so I reordered and this then failed aswell.
Then I googled the company and saw these reviews!

Please do avoid.
Nothing has been taken out of my account yet, but please do avoid!

Same experience as everyone else. Card wasn’t used for about a month, but I had already cancelled it shortly after placing my order. FYI: Here are the details of the MD of Smyths Books taken from companies house.

These pieces of s**t harvested my card details and have made purchases of over £90. Reported to the bank who are working with the police. I see they've taken their site down now.

We've got the name and address of the a-holes doing this. Lets hope for their sake I get my money back soon.

SCAM!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Fake website. They store your card details and use it to buy stuff online! My bank called police as they recognized transaction made as fraudulent. Hope they get caught soon!!
