Snap on Diagnostics, Absolute disgrace. Don't believe the hype, the premiums are not worth it anymore. Bought a tyre fitting machine with a service contract. Machine has gone down, there saying 6 weeks for a part to fix it. Ill be long bankrupt by then as the tyre fitting machine not surprisingly is the main money earner in a tyre garage. I'm at my wits end and have ended up buying a new machine as this is the only way I can save my business. On the vans it says "Unrivalled after care service" This statement is false! Buy snap on and sadly you will come to regret it.

Have Snapon toolbox for many years. Needed part to repair lid. Snapon dealer not able to help. Contacted Snapon corporate. Sent pics and details and they sent part. Excellent customer service.

I have between 150 and 200k in tools and equipment. They used to be great. In the last year there service has dropped dramatically. In the last few months they have been here to work on my tire balncer 3 times and it has been broke for 2 weeks waiting for them to come back and look at it again. My ac machine has been down for the same amount of time the have worked on it 2 times and still having problems. My equipment are less than 5 years old. My business will not buy another piece of snap on equipment period. I can't even get a call from them. Very bad business costing me money.

I bought a tool for my Husband. I used the correct code. The tool was over £100. when it arrived it was not the tool I had ordered. The receipt sent with the tool said ratchet the tool sent was a spanner.
When I complained to Customer services I was treated as though I was being unreasonable, rude and out of order.

Nearly 2 weeks later still no refund despite doing everything they told me to do. Absolutely useless.
It has also cost me over £5 to send this back and I have just been informed that I won't get that back.

I will never buy from this company again

I bought snap on tools years ago mainly because of a great dealer in the college town I was at an also I buy quality. I need repair/warranty stuff done and need to purchase some stuff. I have left three voice messages in the span of a few weeks with a local dealer and he had never called back. I have tried to search other dealers and you can't. Isn't the object to sell tools? How does that happen when you cannot find a dealer and the one you try to contact never calls you?
Very very dissapointed. I wish now that I'd never bought snap on tool and got craftsman.

Been buying snap on tools for 10 years. Gone massivly downhill. Quality of tools have slipped and price is horrendous. Warrenty is a joke. And customer services useless.

We purchased an AC machine from snap-on and wish we never had. The first week we owned the machine it broke. It took Snap-On NINE MONTHS to send out a technician to fix the problem. By the time they fixed it - it was FREEZING outside so we didn't need the thing. Fast forward to spring and we the first time we attempt to use the machine AFTER it was repaired - NO SCREEN. It DOES NOT WORK AGAIN. Warranty isover because they needed 9 months to find parts initially and then we didn't need it for three winter months. We've been waiting more than a week already waiting on equipment to come out and inspect this machine. Want a great way to waste $15K ???? Buy a snap on AC machine. We worked with our local truck who escalated and our requests to return this lemon of a machine. The request was denied. We spoke with corporate who told us to use it as a paperweight! Can you believe that?! Never again will we purchase anything Snap On at this shop.

Spanners and ratchets, that's it. Everything else is pure garbage. I bought the half inch and quarter inch impact driver a year and a half ago. The half inch came faulty. Aperently there was a problem with the one of the mills that makes the hammers. Wouldn't undo a nut set to 60nm. Is meant to have 1900nm break away. Was sent back and fixed but had to wait a month. The quarter inch both batteries that came with it have gone down. A year and a half! So much for lasting a career. Over £1000 of pure s**t. Buy milwaukee people

I have a business they took my tools to be repaired and never bought it back. The sales guy for the area left and now I'm getting the run around for months now. I would never recommend Snap On again go to Amazon. I need assistance wth my tools. You can reach me at

So our snapon dealer retired. Got a new dealer assigned to us.. he came twice then never came back.. been calling him and corporate for weeks.. today i call again to get some tools warrantied. They say i cant do it over the phone because a dealer is assigned to my shop. So i explain the situation. They call him. So he lies and tells them hes uncomfortable coming to my shop and that i got in his face…. Well thats a complete lie!! I didnt even know there was a problem let alone got in his face about anything.. this guy is just playing games now and im considering legal action

Im a Technician who uses hand and power tools everyday. Own a lot of Snap-on tools including a classic 96 roll cab. The tools are very good quality but yes very expensive. I’m at the point to if it is a tool that will be used a lot and has to be of good quality to take the everyday abuse then I will pony up for snap on. But if it’s not a very high use tool I will find cheaper brands. I have a very mixed box of tools and my box is currently overflowing and need to add a top chest. Originally got my classic 96 12 years ago for $3200. Now today’s prices and the price of steel today a classic 96 top chest is over $5000!! Going to go with different brand for added storage. All in all, very happy with quality of snap on( and there is a quality difference) but pick the ones you need to spend the extra money on. And the warranty experience personally is awesome. My truck guy comes almost weekly and if the tool doesn’t perform as designed I get a brand new one off the truck or it’s ordered if he doesn’t have in stock.

Not what they were you are far better to buy another premium brand at 1/4 price.Warranty isn't what it was unless you can provide proof of when and where you purchased the tool Best avoided

Used snap on for 20 years the quality has gone down considerably, my toolbox rusted away due to poor painting and I had to pay half for a new one what a joke it was £2250 8 years ago, as time goes on it gets worse and worse. 1/2 impact motor lasted a year and my 3/8th electric ratchet motor lasted 18months, Now I struggle to find a dealer to change my broke tools as I’m not in the city anymore, I’m surrounded by broken tools and snap on really don’t care unless your buying expensive equipment off them now

I purchased a 1/2” digital torque wrench. The wrench was designed poorly as the screw cap on the end would twist off and the batteries would fall out when I used it. I contacted snap on and at first they said “ your not holding the handle correctly”. A while later I contacted them again and I was told they could up grade the handle to the newer style for a charge. I asked them why I would have to pay to fix a design flaw and they just repeated their upgrade suggestion. I finally had enough and sent them my torque wrench and the money for them to fix it. It took months, many calls and emails and I finally received my torque wrench back with the origonal handle and a new cap that still fell off when used just like before. I S ent back the torque wrench again and spoke to a supervisor. He was apologetic and said he is taking over for the former supervisor who was let go. He offered me a new upgraded replacement. Guess what, after months of calls and promises I still haven’t received the replacement. Obviously I am frustrated and disappointed to say the least. This has been going on for over a year now.

Tools and products are of a good standard ,very overpriced.

The problem with them is the selling and after-sales I’ve purchased 2 lifts on separate occasions both times the sales representative has got the site inspection wrong which has cost me considerable amount of money to put right. Have complained to Snap on directly but on both occasions not interested. Once they get you to sign the order your soon forgotten.
Been in the trade for over 30 years and find it quite shocking a company of their size carries on like this.

I definitely will not be spending anymore money with them.

I'm a mechanic and we don't have a regular Snap-on person who comes to our shop so when I something breaks somebody that Snap-on I have to go and find a truck well I found a truck at a dealership and I asked the guy if he could please change out my socket because it was broken the guy with the extremely rude obnoxious and did not want to do it and told me that all this guy spent a whole bunch of money with me you're going to have to wait or come back tomorrow how am I going to come back tomorrow when you drive around the guy's name is Richie Frye is a snap-on dealer it's so sad that snap on his people like this working for them it gives them a bad name you shouldn't be rude to customers we spend a lot of money on tools just bad business real bad business

Snap on is the best and there customer service is top notch hands down, my father uncle's and I have been buying snap on since the mid 70s nothing comes close never had a tool fail and if I did have an issue with a tool snap on customer service has always taken care of me fast, we are a snap on family for life.

This company will charge you skyrocketed interest rates for overpriced metal junk. The quality of the product is subpar to competitors yet the price is twice as much . This company if you default on your loan will use shady business practices such as doxing contacting everyone in your family and even friends about you. They will have their shady old dealers sit outside your home for days and nights on end until you call the police on them. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY

Do Not Buy SnapOn Diagnostic Scan Tools of any kind. You will loose a lot of money and SnapOn will not do anything to make you whole. They talk a great game get you to spend over $10k and then they charge you for updates then the system will remove certain functions that you need in order for the tool to be worth your money. Then they tell you that you're stuck unless you purchase another scan tool for another $10K. I think these are unfair business practices and No one should do Business with them because they will stick you.. So beware. and you've been warned...
